Points but aswell they are not updating my credit scores as of last year in XXXX Ive been denied personal loans trying to purchase my first home I cant get approved for anything but people keep adding more XXXX to my credit report but they will. Not update it with anything positive so I can move forward with anything. I am fully aware and overstand my rights as a consumer under the Truth In Lending Act 15 USC 1601 as well as my rights pertaining to Federal Reserve Act 16, sections 1 & 2. I did not benefit from this transaction and due to the misleading adverstisement for a down payment & other factors, I have been without a car since then. I filed an arbitration case against Kohls , Inc., which is reporting the accounts involved in this matter. Kohls , Inc. has refused to arbitrate the matter thereby violating the contractual agreement. I have consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to honoring my financial obligations by promptly settling my bills. I decided to automate my payments by setting up an online auto-payment system. However, to my dismay, I later discovered that this transaction had not been successfully processed. On the other hand, I discovered that Kohls has failed to report my complete payment history, they are missing numerous on time payments I have made. Despite my efforts to ensure that the information on my account was accurate, I discovered that Kohls had reported incorrect information to the credit bureaus. This error had a significant impact on my credit score, making it more challenging for me to obtain credit, loans, and other financial services. Moreover, Kohls failed to comply with the FCRA 's notice of adverse reporting requirement. I was never notified of any adverse reporting, despite the fact that there were multiple occasions where such reporting occurred. This issue has caused me significant stress, and it has a negative impact on my financial well-being. Consumer Complaint: I am writing to file a formal complaint against Capital One regarding a recent incident that has caused significant distress and financial hardship. I believe that I was misled by a Capital One phone representative regarding a payment arrangement, which has resulted in a late fee and a XXXX late payment remark on my credit report. On XX/XX/2023, I contacted Capital One to inform them of my financial hardship due to contracting XXXX and taking time off from work to recover. During this conversation, the phone representative assured me that they could push back my payment due date to XX/XX/2023, and that no late fees or XXXX late remarks would be incurred if I agreed to start the payment plan. Importantly, I asked numerous times, on the recorded line, about the consequences of accepting the payment plan and was repeatedly assured that no late fees would be applied or remarks of XXXX XXXX late would be reported to the credit bureaus. To my dismay, on XX/XX/2023 XXXX days before my new payment was even due. I discovered a {$40.00} late fee charged to my account and a XXXX late payment remark reported to the credit bureaus. This outcome directly contradicted the explicit promises made by the Capital One representative during our phone conversation on a recorded line. As a long-standing loyal customer, I have never missed a payment before this incident, and I find it deeply unjust that, during a time when I sought assistance, I am now burdened with a XXXX late payment remark on my credit report. Given the circumstances surrounding this matter, I kindly request that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) intervene and assist in rectifying this situation. Specifically, I am requesting the removal of the single late payment remark from my credit report. It is evident that I was provided with inaccurate information and led to believe that I was taking appropriate measures to address my financial difficulties. I have attached copies of relevant documentation and supporting evidence to substantiate my claims. These documents demonstrate the misleading nature of the Capital One representative 's statements and the subsequent adverse impact on my credit standing. I trust that the CFPB will conduct a thorough investigation into this matter and take the necessary steps to ensure that I am treated fairly and justly. As well as XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX I have received my own financing from my bank XXXX where they gave me a check for the total amount for the car I was purchasing. I never gave XXXX or any other financial institution any access or authorization to run my credit or get any information since I will be able to provide the finances to purchase the vehicle with the help of my bank. The travel company in XXXX XXXX is currently under investigation bc they took consumers hard earned money and invested it in crypto and cheated all particpants out of their month. One individual stated Capital one refuned her in XXXX with her cases being 540 days old because the company shut down. Capital one has not been forthcoming in awarding to everyone in this situation their monies back. please see attached. I called Capital One to confirm and was told that it is because the merchant went out of business. This was completely unexpected.
