They also refused to verbally provide the information over the phone. Capitalone.com says that I can't get any information from them without providing them a copy of my driver 's license front and back. I refuse to provide the driver 's license due to fraud. I'm not asking for credit, but to pay my balance due in full.

Consumer Complaint: I got XXXX secured credit cards XX/XX/2022. XXXX was with XXXX. After 6 months of good on time payments I was given an unsecured card and my security deposit was mailed to me briefly. Then I got a XXXX XXXX secured card. And also I got a capital one card. These cards did not convert to unsecured even after 6 months of on time payments. So I closed them. The XXXX XXXX added the security deposit into my bank account immediately while on the phone. But the complaint I have is with capital one. They are purposely taking a long time to hold onto my money and did not issue an unsecured card. I closed my secured card XX/XX/XXXX and I have still not received my security deposit or any promises that it will arrive after 1 month. They are taking advantage of me when I originally wanted an unsecured card and that's why I got a secured card to build credit and convert it. And they are not giving my original money back. Obviously the best company to get the secured card is with XXXX. I no longer want to do business with Capital One. All their service is overseas and they are taking my personal information when I call in. They don't care and they hang up when there's a real issue. This is the total opposite from my experience with XXXX. Why would I get a secured card and then spend years waiting for it to convert because the bank wants to hold onto my security deposit? This is what I was told by someone at XXXX XXXX that it took 18 months for her card to convert. And who knows what would happen with Capital One. I would like my money back immediately. Why would I need to get on here to complain? It's because the company is not helping whatsoever and obviously taking advantage that I gave them money to hold onto. This mean that they do it for everyone and take advantage of everyone.

Consumer Complaint: I scheduled my electricity bill payment of {$220.00} on XX/XX/2023 from my Capital One checking account through bill pay. Capital One deducted the funds as if the bill was paid. I then received a notice from my electric company on XX/XX/XXXX that they would shut off my electricity by XX/XX/XXXX due to non-payment. I called Capital One on XX/XX/XXXX and was first told by Capital One that the payment was mailed so that it just hadn't been received yet. Then a second representative at Capital One told me that day that this was not true, that the payment was electronic and should have been received within XXXX days of the XX/XX/XXXX request for payment. They told me I was responsible for the electricity payment even though the bank had deducted my funds and the electricity provider still did not show any payment received. The second representative also told me that I was responsible for late fees being charged by electricity company and that Capital One would not be responsible for those charges. I finished the call exasperated by that information, called back and spoke with a manager named XXXX @ XXXX AM XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX who sent me to a XXXX representative named XXXX at XXXX pm who told me they would ask for an investigation and get back to me with proof of payment. After hearing nothing I decided to call Capital One back on XX/XX/2023 @ XXXX AM XXXX and spoke with " Faith '' as the electric company is scheduled to turn my electricty off tomorrow on XX/XX/2023. Capital One told me they still have no final confirmation of proof of payment receipt, and that I just have to wait for an email from them, even though they have deducted the funds from my account and even though my electricity will be turned off tomorrow. I told her I have no longer to wait since the electricity will be turned off tomorrow and the forecast is for XXXX degree heat where I live. I as then put on hold to wait for a " manager '', and XXXX minutes later I decided to give up and file this complaint. The bill pay was scheduled XX/XX/2023... XXXX XXXX days later Capital One can not give me an proof of payment, refuses to accept responsibility of any late fees that my electric provider is now charging me, and the electricity company still shows no record of payment from Capital Bank on my behalf. Capital One also refuses to credit my account back the money that was deducted from my account. AND GUESS WHAT? I was still on HOLD with CAPITAL ONE BANK FOR OVER AN HOUR AS I TYPED THIS COMPLAINT, AND THEY JUST DISCONNECTED ME. PLEASE PLEASE HELP.

Consumer Complaint: I paid my car loan off with CapitalOne Auto on XX/XX/2023, by transferring the loan balance directly from my local bank account to the lender. I need the XXXX released at this time. They acknowledge receipt of the funds from my account, but I am told by their representatives that they can not send the release for XXXX business days following payment, which is simply an electronic transaction, as " that is the process. '' I asked to have the release process expedited, as I am leaving for an extended vacation, I have given the subject vehicle to my daughter, and we need the title before I can leave in order to transfer ownership to her. Their response to my request to expedite the process was a flat denial, saying they have to follow their " process. '' They offered to have me speak to the " XXXX '' but then came back on the call and said that person would be out for the next 3 days, so their response was, in reality, no response at all. It was a customer service nightmare and the representatives, who were clearly not in this XXXX, while polite, were absolutely no help whatsoever. I informed them I would never again do business with Capital One, for any reason, and would advise everyone I know to avoid doing business with them as well.

Consumer Complaint: I haven't bought anything in over a year on this card and have been making my payments religiously, however my balance has remained over the limit. I have tried to dispute directly with them, but they refuse to allow me to do so via email ( I get very stressed speaking to them as I have XXXX XXXX ) I am asking for a breakdown of all purchases since the card was opened along with whether Pin was used or not, and a ledger of all interest and fees. They took over my account and put something into the account which has led me to believe there are several inaccuracies.
