Consumer Complaint: Hi I am reaching out to you to get Capital One to take incorrect payments off My credit report that i have recently seen. I believe capital one is not taking my consumer rights seriously and keeps giving me the run around and playing with words in order not to help me. These payments were not late to any doing of my own.I called on capital throughout a dire time of need, Because of hurricane XXXX Damaging my property and home i let them know that I needed help in advance with my payment dates and capitalone agreed to postpone/pause my credit card payments and gave me a date and the associate that helped me assured me they would shcedule my automated payments to continue and turned out not to be true for payments XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX on account. I've been with capital one for over 20 years as they can tell you before this misinformation by the capital one employee which they are trying not to own up to I had an excellent payment history over the course of this time except for XX/XX/XXXX when interest adjustments didn't reflect my automated minimal balance by capital one which was my first discrepancy and had no idea about this until i capital one sent me a email which i thought was a scam stating i missed my minimum payment in which i had just seen come out of my bank which also spoke to them about and still no resolution.

Consumer Complaint: I had a car loan through capital one auto finance. I originally got the vehicle in XXXX. Throughout the time I had the car, I was struggling due to the pandemic, I fell behind and it was very tough to stay current on payments, I did my best to make payments and get caught up but the pandemic made this very difficult. From XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX I made late payments. I was in contact with capital one auto finance regarding my hardships. They had waived late fees and had tried to put payment plans in place. They still made negative reports on my credit regarding this situation, knowing that the cares act protects situations like this. When calling to and speak to them now that the loan has been satisfied in full, they wont provide me with a deletion letter or do anything to remove the negative marks on my credit report.
