Also, my credit reports show that this account has not been closed and the balance has not been updated to {$0.00}.

Consumer Complaint: I recently looked at my three credit reports ( XXXX, XXXX and XXXX XXXX ). I found seven inquiries from Capital One, six done on the same day. I did not apply for credit from them even once nor do I have an account with them, although they did many of the inquiries as " Account Reviews ''. the excessive inquiries lowered my credit scores as well. I sent a letter to them and they responded with a phone call, during which I was asked to confirm my birthday. I refused since they obviously had the information to be able to access my credit multiple times and the representative ended the call. While preparing this complaint, I found MORE inquiries done by Capital One on my credit that I did not authorize or do ( all told, Capital One did 12 inquiries on my credit ; XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, and XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX ). Today I received a letter from XXXX XXXX ( attached to the complaint ) admitting to doing the initial XXXX inquiries and being unable to confirm it was me who did them, but failing to pay me the {$1000.00} per inquiry amount required for them doing so without permissible purpose. They have also said they have requested for the inquiries to be deleted, but they might not be and turned into " soft '' inquiries. As of today, XX/XX/XXXX, they owe me {$12000.00} for the twelve violations of the FCRA, plus damages for lowering my credit score and willful violations.

Consumer Complaint: To Whom It May Concern : Capital One sent out billing statements to the credit bureau for the billing statement ranging from XX/XX/XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. There was an interest of {$8.00} that accrued on my credit card that was interpreted by the credit bureau as a missed payment. Now showing as a delinquent mark on all three credit bureaus. I never had a missed payment of {$8.00} with Capital One. Capital One should not have sent automatically my personal billing statements to the Credit Bureau for additional information that was not specific in relation to a missed payment late at the 30-day mark that is by standard reported late to the credit bureau XXXX I spoke with XXXX, Manager at Capital One on XX/XX/, to try to resolve this issue over the phone and was informed, I would need to send a letter in writing to their Credit Bureau Dispute Department to have this matter resolved even though the error is with Capital One and the additional information they provided the Credit Bureau agencies. This is an infringement on my privacy and the good faith standard of what information is sent over to the Credit Bureau agencies. I would like this matter investigated, and the correction made to retract inaccurate information concerning late payments that were never payments only interest accrued on my credit card with Capital One. Due to this incorrect delinquent mark on my credit report, I have not been able to take out a personal loan for a matter that was important for me and my household even though I have a credit score of XXXX as of today.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I received and email that there were fraudulent activity on my Capital One account, I called and they said there was a payment made and needed to verify the account. At that moment I stated that was not my account and that they needed to return payment and please unrestrict my account.They stated again that my account will not be unresctricted until the XXXX XXXX account that I dont own nor know the owner or anything of that nature can be verified. I stated I cant verify it because I dont own it and I dont know who the owner is. They kept asking if it was a friend or someone I said no. One day I called saying I wish I know someone that would do that and they thought I knew the person which is not correct. Now I am stuck with a restricted account that I am making payments on and possibly paying interest when I cant use it and later close the account under what terms? This is very unfair for a consumer specially if I said I cant verify it, I had no fault on it and I am the one suffering for it.

I DID spend $ XXXX at XXXX within the first year - about XXXX weeks shy of my full year having the card but they never credited me. I called in numerous times and it was reviewed and denied each time. They said that because the annual fee was charged BEFORE I spent at XXXX that I didn't meet the qualifications ... that is NOT what the terms said. The terms said first year and I satisfied that requirement.
