Consumer Complaint: I have talk to Capital One on XXXX XXXX about a late charge on my credit report that shows that I was late on XX/XX/2023. I do not remember that I was even late. That was the time I was in the Hospital. They tole me that it was mine. I asked for a courtesy to delete that one as I only have one and having six other accounts and no late. I was told that it was against THE LAW.

During our call, you indicated that you believe the reporting on your Capital One accounts is inaccurate because charged off accounts should not be reporting to the CRAs. However, weve confirmed Capital One does not delete accounts in exchange for payments and will reflect a paid in full/settled status when applicable. Consumer Complaint: I was overseas and my card was fraudulently charged for {$400.00} and {$89.00}. Once I saw the charges, I tried to file a dispute, but CapitalOne does not allow online disputes and wanted me to call their XXXX customer service number. As I was overseas, I couldn't call the customer service number. I promptly called the number and filed the dispute. CapitalOne removed the charged and put it back in the on the same day. I then called them and was told since the card was tapped to pay, the wouldnt investigate it any further. The customer service agent XXXX with employee number XXXX whom I a spoke with on XX/XX/2023 XXXX XXXX XXXX refused to help me or to transfer me to a XXXX. I have never been to the restaurant that is showing up on the transaction. I tried everything with CapitalOne. The only way they will help me is if I provide evidence, which I am not sure how to prove a negative. I asked them what evidence would I have to gather to prove and they wont give me a hint as to what they need. Please help.
