Consumer Complaint: Why was my account closed when I never verbally asked for it on the call and denied all disclosures? On Tuesday evening at XXXX pm, I contacted Capitol One customer support to inquire about my XXXX XXXX credit card account, existing promotions, and the process for closing it in the future. Shockingly, their customer support agent XXXX ( Employee ID : XXXX ), closed my account without my consent. When I requested to speak to a supervisor, XXXX hung up on me. After calling back, I spoke to a supervisor named XXXX ( XXXX ). However, he informed me that once an account has been closed, it can not be reopened. XXXX also revealed that XXXX had asked a back-end employee named XXXX ( XXXX ) to close the account. It's clear that they illegally closed my account, and it's evident that this was due to my having over XXXX in miles, which they viewed as a liability. This is why they refuse to reopen my account. This is unacceptable behavior, and I demand immediate action to rectify this issue.

Consumer Complaint: I am a victim of identity theft I reported the event to law enforcement and to the credit bureaus I also contacted the companies to inform them of fraud and placed security freezes and fraud alerts on my credit file I also filed out a FTC IDENTITY THEFT REPORT I even provided them with exactly who committed the identity theft in my name and they claimed to do an investigation and formally declined the id theft claim I also received information from XXXX confirming identity theft from there identity theft protection program my information was sold during the XXXX data breach and accounts were opened in my name before I was 18 years of age which were removed off my report and even with all of this proof the bank refused to remove inaccurate information from my credit report all of the other banks complied and information was removed however the following banks wont remove information : Capital one Bank N.A XX/XX/XXXX Balance : XXXX Bank admitted on recorded phone call that account was fraud but fail to remove information they are fully aware that the account is fraud XXXXXXXX XXXX Opened : XX/XX/XXXX Balance : XXXX Bank admitted on recorded phone call that account was fraud but fail to remove information they are fully aware that the account is fraud And are not in compliance with FCRA Regulations regarding time frame to provide feedback for identity theft related accounts XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Opened XX/XX/XXXX Balance : {$20.00} Lender wont respond to fraudulent account and continues to report

Consumer Complaint: I had 3 credit cards with capital one. I have never once been late on a payment but in the past 6 months after a separation and chronic illness, i had multiple situations where my identity was comprised and my card was used without my knowlede. I reported all of these to Capital One immediately. I am a fully XXXX person and do the best I can. I had an issue with a XXXX XXXX XXXX a few weeks ago and they emailed me a verbally harassing email ( which I am not going to go into ) thinking I was trying to scam them but it turns out it was simply a misunderstanding. They did however report something to my bank and then my accounts were closed. I have no idea what would have happened. I called capital one last week and was told i could apply again, which I did and was immediately accepted for a new account. This was also closed, killing my credit rating. I want to repoen these accounts or just one, the last one opened and have another chance to be a cilent. I can prove that my identity was compromised and as a XXXX person it is prudent that I have a card like this. thank you

If there is any confusion, I suggest you contact myself or the customer service representative of the said account. CAPITAL ONE XXXX was reflected as a late payment on my credit report in violation of Federal Law. You are required under the FCRA to have a copy of the original creditors documentation on file to verify that this information is 100 % true, accurate & correct.

Consumer Complaint: Capital One stated that my bill was due on the XXXX of the month. Payment was made on the XXXX of XX/XX/2023. Payment from consumer bank showed payment was posted on the XXXX of XX/XX/2023. Capital One refused to post payment as well as available credit added to card. Called Customer Service for Capital One and was advised that there is a hold placed on the account. No correspondence was given to card holder in regards of Capital One withholding credit after payment has been received. Help desk couldn't explain the reasoning behind this phantom hold. Payments has been made using this method previously, how ever this new method showed inconvenience to the consumer who underneath the consumer 's law is being violated of the credit that is owed from Capital One.
