Consumer Complaint: Capital One is violating FCRA. Capital One made a hard inquiry in error to XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. I did not apply for any Capital One products, nor do I have a current relationship with this company, that would grant permissible purpose to pull my credit. I contacted Capital One on XX/XX/XXXX and spoke with customer service. They could not see any relationship established. They asked me to send a copy of my credit report, but I wasn't comfortable doing that. So, I contacted XXXX the same day and they filed a dispute with Capital One. I was provided a case number of XXXX to reference. Followed up w/ XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and was told to provide a police report. I'm not even sure what I would put in one - I don't know what is going on. The person I spoke with told me she would notify the company ( again, I guess? ) and they would be required to respond in 30 days. On XX/XX/XXXX, I also mailed a letter to Capital One/Credit Dispute Department at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX UT XXXX stating my issues and concern as well as provided a screen shot from my XXXX credit report documenting one Capital One hard inquiry on XXXX plus 2 soft inquiries also from Capital One. I don't haven't had a recent relationship w/ Capital One to know what these are from? On XX/XX/XXXX - I contacted XXXX and was informed Capital One never answered their dispute inquiry. I contacted Capital One and they said I had not given enough time from my letter mailing on XX/XX/XXXX to receive a response. NOW, it is XXXX and the hard inquiry remains on my report and any dispute inquiries have gone unanswered. I want this inquiry explained and I want it removed b/c it is not correct.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: I received a statement balance email saying I owed XXXX. Not having made a purchase in over a month, I was surprised to see that the charge was a STATEMENT VARIANCE of XXXX. I never received an explanation from XXXX prior to the aforementioned statement email. I feel that this charge is invalid and inappropriate. I am requesting this issue be resolved. I am overseas until XXXX so I can not go into a store and resolve this directly. The agents I chatted and spoke with were less than helpful.

Consumer Complaint: Case number XXXX XXXX XXXX billed on XX/XX/2023 for {$610.00}. Disputing {$500.00} since I didn't get receive the retouch service and the service promised on the date of contract or purchase. I received a letter saying One Capital has received your response to this request, it lacks all of the previously requested information needed to validate your claim on XX/XX/XXXX. Next day, I called them and asked what information they needed for dispute because it was not clear and last dispute I didn't have any problems. They told me to submit another statement and highlighted the contract part saying that retouch should be provided. Next day, I submitted my statement and the highlighted contract again. Then, a few days later, I received a letter saying I submitted the dispute too late, after 2 billing cycles. I submitted my dispute before 2 billing cycles ended. So, this statement is incorrect and they took 2 weeks to send me a letter for my response. If one capital responded to my original dispute in XXXX quickly, I dont think we had a timeline problem. Therefore, I would like One Capital to refund my money.

Consumer Complaint: Capital One Bank retaliated against me because I recently filed two complaints against it with the CFPB. My credit limit has been {$1000.00} for a long time. Currently, as of XXXX XXXXXXXX. today, my account online shows a balance of {$91.00}. Thus, I should have Available Credit of {$900.00}. There are NO pending transactions. Yet, Capital One, without reason, reduced my Available Credit to {$99.00}, as of XXXX XXXX today. Thus, Capital One intentionally, arbitrarily and maliciously reduced my Available Credit by {$800.00}. With no new purchases and no pending purchases, there is no reason - other than RETALIATION- for Capital One to have reduced my Available Credit. When I called Capital One, their representative said that it was correct without willing or able to explain.

Consumer Complaint: I sent notice to CAPITAL ONE to OPT OUT of credit reporting as the CFPB published an article that stated, credit reporting is optional. I have a right to privacy and my privacy is my constitutional right as established in Griswold v. Connecticut ( 1965 ). The Supreme Court ruled that the right to privacy is a constitutional right. I informed CAPITAL ONE that I want to opt out of the sharing of my personal private account and financial information to third parties XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. These corporations are not affiliated with CAPITAL ONE. Additionally, when I submitted an application for the above mentioned account, that application was my security collateral which funded this account. The balance is in a positive amount which indicates a credit that is due to my principals account. Thus, this account has been falsely reported as past due. This is defaming my character and causing me and my family tremendous harm. ( account ending XXXX )
