Consumer Complaint: The complaint relates to the purchase of open water scuba pool sessions at XXXX XXXX XXXX via XXXX on XX/XX/2023 for {$230.00} using my Capital One quicksilver card. XXXX XXXX XXXX : XX/XX/XXXX Description of the XXXX deal - Scuba Diving Certification for One This is the beginner entry into scuba diving. This open water class is a combination of e-learning and traditional classroom. Once completed you will have earned an open water certification that is nationally and internationally recognized. XXXX XXXX XXXX promptly requested my voucher number in order to give me access to the e-learning course and subsequently marked it as redeemed on XX/XX/2023 without scheduling the classroom training and certification classes that was part of the deal. See email attached. I made various efforts to contact XXXX XXXX XXXX via telephone, email, and XXXX XXXX, as evidenced by the enclosed screenshot of our interactions. Despite my earnest attempts, I received no response regarding the scheduling of the classes. I was hoping to receive my training within 30-45 days of purchasing the XXXX as I had a long vacation planned out of the country at the end of XXXX. At no point did the XXXX fine prints mention that I will have to wait for an indefinite period of time before I can expect the full and complete delivery of the services described. Regrettably, my attempts to secure a response from XXXX XXXX XXXX proved unfruitful via phone or online messages. I reached out to XXXX customer service who refused to return my money as once the voucher is marked redeemed they can not or will not assist any further unless I obtain written confirmation from the XXXX school confirming that the service was not provided. Needless to say, getting a response from the XXXX XXXX XXXX is impossible as they don'y reply to calls, texts or emails. So, I filled a dispute with Capital one as a last resort as I was still within the 90 day period and provided capital one dispute team with proof indicating that the service was not delivered as promised. However the Capital one dispute team decided to side with the merchant as the merchant had marked the XXXX as redeemed. My husband had purchased the sameXX/XX/XXXX with his XXXX card and he had the same problem. However, XXXX promptly refunded him the money and didn't wrongfully side with the merchant. I am requesting a full refund for the disputed charge, given that the services were not rendered as described under the groupon deal description, and the merchant failed to respond to my inquiries over an extended period and for the time, energy and stress this whole situation has caused me.

Consumer Complaint: I applied for and was approved for a CapitalOne Venture card on XX/XX/XXXX. I received notification that it had shipped on XX/XX/XXXX. When the card had still not arrived, I called CapitalOne customer service on XXXX and XXXX. The first rep told me USPS had sent the card back and then I would have to wait until it returned. The second rep I spoke to on XXXX issued me a new card and said I would have to verify my identity by sending me a code by text message. I verified my identity this way when I first applied on XX/XX/XXXX, because I had trouble setting up my online account. This time the rep sent the text message and it did not go through to my phone. This was attempted twice and it didn't work either time. The rep then told me I would have to submit a photo of the front and back of my driver license for verification, and that it would take an additional 10 days on top of the two weeks I had already been waiting. The photos of the driver license are not blurry and I have used them for insurance purposes in the past. I submitted photos of my driver license, and then followed up on XX/XX/XXXX. Customer service told me the photos were blurry and that I should have been contacted to submit a better image. I was not contacted about this, and furthermore I already have a bank account with CaptialOne, including a debit card that was successfully mailed to me and activated. They know who I am. There is no reason for this verification. There is likely a technical issue with their system, because I was verified before over the phone by text message. I should not be penalized for their issue. Additionally, there is a sign-up bonus associated with this card, and it includes a spending requirement that must be met within 3 months of opening the card. CapitalOne has already wasted a month of my time dealing with this, which could lead to me not receiving the sign-up bonus and other benefits of using the card.

Consumer Complaint: I was placed as an authorized user on a credit card without my knowledge, after going to that person and asked that they remove me they did. after 30 days of it still showing on my credit report. we called they " confirmed '' i was removed. after 90 days it was still showing, so i disputed with XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX. its now been 6 Months all disputes were denied. I called Capital One only to find out i was never removed as a authorized user. I requested to be removed and capital one said to call on Monday. This inaccurate information has caused me to miss opportunities, my own credit cards and other loans due the the users bad/inaccurate reporting.
