They put my application in a pending state and sent me an email to call them to finish the application on XX/XX/XXXX. I called on XX/XX/XXXX and they would no longer offer the {$350.00}. I think that they intentionally stalled out the application to avoid having to pay the bonus.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I made a payment of {$420.00} to Capital One from my XXXX XXXX checking account. This payment brought my balance to {$0.00}. On XX/XX/2023, ( I have all calls recorded ) I called Capital One customer service, the agent was combative and unwilling to assist me. At the beginning of the call, I asked to speak with a supervisor. The agent began to be combative and tell me everything that was wrong with my account. I then told the agent again my issue was that Capital One took a payment, my balance is XXXX but I have no available credit. This has happened for the past two months, I make eight phone calls until, I get someone to help. Last month, the fraud supervisor was able to tell me what a supervisor has to do. I tried calling Capital One eight times in the space of two days. I got hung up on by two supervisors and three agents. Every month with Capital One, I make two to three payments. They never reflect on my credit report accurately. I also have made payments every month for the past two years and my payments have not been posted in a timely manner to where I have to call and ask when my payments will post. They have been hostile towards me, I am a veteran with XXXX and I need someone to investigate this.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 Capital One submitted a hard inquiry on my credit without my authorization. This has damaged both my XXXX and XXXX credit report. This an instance of fraud and all Capital One would do is tell me that there isnt a Capital One credit account associated with my social security number and to physically mail a copy of my credit report with a description of the situation to a XXXX XXXX XXXX They informed me this process can take up to a month, which is concerning because they didnt share whether the fraudulent credit application was approved or not, and this solution needs to be resolved in a faster time frame. I do not have any accounts with capital one and have never submitted a credit application to this company.

The conversation between XXXX the manager and I was understood that if I came into the dealership he would allow me to test drive some vehicles. I enter the dealership in my XXXX XXXX. I test drove the XXXX XXXX XXXX and like it. He had me fill out a credit application and I did with the belief and hopes that he would either get me a fair trade. The XXXX XXXX was listed at XXXX. He change the price and sent my information to several creditors carelessly and lied about my the amount he paid me for my XXXX XXXX. He tried to explain to me i had negative equity in my XXXX XXXX XXXX, but he reported to the creditors my car was worth only the amount I owed. He admitted to lying to the creditors about the trade in value of my XXXX XXXX XXXX so he could make a profit. He changed the price of the XXXX XXXX from what was advertised. He charged me XXXX more than the worth XXXX the XXXX XXXX. I explained to him I was very uncomfortable, yet he not only continued to pressure me to trade in my vehicle, he invited another salesman over and used fraudulent sale tactics to get me to sign. By this time my daughter is crying and both XXXX and the sales manage were making my environment hostile. Because I felt like a hostage and the salesman and dealership manage would not let my daughter and I leave gracefully. I signed the papers and went home. I realized I never received copies of my signed documents. I felt even more immediate uneasiness. I headed back to the dealership at XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I asked to return the vehicle because of the fraud of the trade in. I was with my XXXX XXXX XXXX daughter. The manage XXXX explained the only way he would trade me back my XXXX XXXX and take back the XXXX XXXX XXXX was if I paid him {$5000.00}. He explained that is how much money it costed him the night before to change over my title and license plates. I told him I didn't have {$5000.00}. He said he could not help me and if I needed additional information I needed to wait for the creditors to send me a bill and to talk to the creditors. I ask for the cooperate office contact information and he refused to give me a cooperate member to contact.

Consumer Complaint: I have been suspended from getting SSI because Capital One keep showing that I have {$210.00} in an account and Life insurance policy for {$540.00} even throw my account has been close since 2021. I have called headquarters and call the branch that I had the account open with and still have been given the run around. As I am typing this complaint I have been on hold for 1 hour and 10 minutes with the XXXX XXXX Capital One branch on XXXX XXXX XXXX, I am holding on to see how long they are gon na let me hold on because they don't want to make the effort to help. I can't appeal my resources with SSI without getting the required information form Capital One to prove that I do not have a account with them or a life insurance policy with them. Consumer Complaint: I was alerted today that I received a hard inquiry on my credit report from Capital One. I have not opened or created any account with them. I called Capital One and was verified by my Social Security Number and DOB. They then asked for my name and account number. I gave them my name and they said my account was associated with someone else 's name. I have no account number. They would not provide any further information and hung up on me. I have put a freeze and identity alert on my accounts with XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. To dispute an inquiry, I need Capital One to alert them there is a problem and they will not.
