Consumer Complaint: I was approved for a secured credit card with capital one. I paid the required {$200.00} deposit. I use it for a month and paid balance on the first statement. During the second cycle I use the cars and received a restricted alert. Capital one did not explain the reason or purpose but wanted 3 months of bank statements. I provided them with the statement and I was told the documents failed and my account was closes. They haven't told me a reason. I don't have a closing bill or what happen to my deposit.

Consumer Complaint: I received a credit alert that Capitol One pulled a credit report today, XX/XX/2023. I have not authorized Capitol One to pull my credit report NOR have I applied for a credit card or loan from them. I've called all three credit report companies : XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX to freeze my credit reports and to report the fraud. I called Capitol One who said they don't have a credit card open in my name or social security number. I asked why they pulled my credit report. They said they had no idea and that I should alert the credit reporting agencies. The credit agencies tell me I need to have Capital One send them a report that says it was unauthorized so they take this off my credit report. This is a circular issue, and I need the action to be removed from my credit report.

They said they were holding my money because of unusual deposit activity. The only unusual activity is the amount I can afford to give them. I made the payment on XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2023I attempted to make a XXXX purchase and was denied. Today they denied a {$1.00} monthly fee I have with a company. This is a travesty- the purpose of which I am sure is to collect the measly interest on my XXXX. I understand its a privilege to own a card but it is so wrong.

Consumer Complaint: company violated consumer protection laws Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices, Truth in Lending violation. i have a CapitalOne VentureXXXX card. an offer appearing to be an upgrade was solicited to me through my account making it appear that, by accepting the offer, that my account would be upgraded to a different product. the offer is actually a deceptive scheme to trick me into downgrading my account from VentureXXXX to lower quality product. FALSE ADVERTISING - CapOne prequalifies people for brand cards like XXXX, XXXX which offer different products all named the samer, but does not comply with Truth in Lending and does not disclose the which card of that name a customer is accepting and other necessary facts required for a customer to make an informed decision and know exactly what credit terms customer is applying for. Cap One is soliciting multiple products of the same name, while concealing the fact they have different terms, and they are an entirely different product than the customer thinks they are getting. One may be a XXXX with XXXX guts ( the good one ). The other looks like a XXXX, but has lower quality and less components ( the one they send the customer ). i also do not believe CapOne complies with the Equal Credit Opportunity Act and does not treat customers in the same situation equally. CapOne treats some customers badly and other customers fairly, thereby discriminating against certain classes of customers. the company also retaliates against customers who complain by giving them worse treatment and never giving these customers anything they ask for, like an evil step-mom that only feeds half of her kids. Venture to XXXX or XXXX is a downgrade in product, not an upgrade.
