Consumer Complaint: In late XXXX, I received in the mail an offer from Capital One for a XXXX credit card, as I was a " valued customer ''. It offered a 0 % on purchases and balance transfers until XX/XX/XXXX. I applied by the XX/XX/XXXX deadline and was sent my XXXX card with a {$5000.00} limit. In XXXX I purchased a vehicle and used my new card for the down payment of {$5000.00} and set up auto payments so the balance would be paid off by XX/XX/XXXX. In XXXX I checked the activity on my card and saw two interest charges ( XXXX for {$110.00} and XXXX for {$110.00} ). I called Capital One to investigate the charges and was told that I didn't request the special offer for the card and was issued a different XXXX card @ something like 24 % interest! I am a XXXX XXXX XXXX woman with excellent credit and the ability to have paid the {$5000.00} without using this new card and only did so to avoid withdrawing from my investments. I explained all this to the representative at Capital One and even opened a case with upper management ( XXXX XXXXXXXX ) but to no avail. They refused to refund the interest charges. I applied for this offer online and evidently somehow did not get approved for the offer I wished to take advantage of. I received nothing with the new card disclosing the interest rate or that I was denied the promotional offer. All that said, I paid off the balance including the interest charges, but, feel that considering the circumstances, Capital One should have refunded the charges. XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: Long story short, my mother had a capital one account when I was XXXX that had my name on it too. It was overdrafted by {$3000.00}. I was allowed to have a secured credit card and a different one by capital one but they closed them recently. The only thing that has changed was I made a dispute for XXXX XXXX that I have proof XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX said they werent pursuing the dispute and released the funds to capital one. Shorty after Im giving credit they take it away and do my available credit goes down {$120.00} which hurt my credit. So I did make a payments to try to make both balances go down but some were returned but Ive made at least a XXXX dollars in other payments in the past few months. Just want my accounts back and I feel like they never increased limits like other customaries due to the XXXX from my mother being on my side and my mothers side of our accounts.

Consumer Complaint: I have two accounts with Capital One Credit. I have had these accounts for years. I started keeping a debit and credit register on my accounts in the same manner that I keep a bank account register. In the last month the totals on my charges by the company were {$150.00} dollars more than the total calculated charges. I track interest and my payments. This account is used for many small online purchases as well as several monthly recurring charges. With the balance being {$150.00} more than I expected I decided to close my account. I had made a purchase on XX/XX/2023 through XXXX for {$66.00}. The payment had cleared by XX/XX/XXXX, I mark in my register when the payments clear. On Saturday XX/XX/2023 I was very certain of the over charge situation. I spent all day eliminating the Capital One Walmart Card from all my associated accounts. So last night I paid off the entire listed amount of {$1400.00}. I phoned Capital One to close the account. Suddenly the {$66.00} was treated by the person on the other end of the line as a new, and as yet uncalculated in the total, charge. I had to pay an additional {$66.00} to bring the balance to zero. I printed out the register at XXXXXXXX XXXX and it shows the charge in the registery. I printed out the charges again at XXXX XXXX and the XXXX charge has miraculously evaporated. I contact customer service at which point they tell me their system is 'updating '. The XXXX charge that went through ( check with XXXX ) on the XXXX of XXXX is still missing. I tell the customer support person that I have the print out showing the charge was previously on there, suddenly it appears back on the registery. There needs to be financial forensic analysis of all US accounts handled by XXXX. This stealing has become a school of education for their citizens and needs to be stopped. Best of luck.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX To whom it may concern, Despite the US Post office showing a package being delivered, the gift sent to my friend on XX/XX/XXXX never arrived. The local mailman never brought it to her house and when the recipient went to her local post office to inquire about it with the tracking number issued by the US Post office she was made aware that the package had been received opened and damaged from the US Post office and that she could not retrieve it unless she paid {$42.00} of custom fees. It obviously did not make sense to pay for a package that had been opened and damaged and she requested the package to be returned to me. As of today XX/XX/XXXX the package was never delivered to its recipient nor returned to me, the sender. I paid {$26.00} with the Capital One credit card ending in XXXX and left this package under the responsibility of the US Post office to be delivered, not to be opened and probably eaten. IMPORTANT : THE TRACKING WEBSITE WAS UPDATED TO SHOW THE PACKAGE AS " DELIVERED '' BUT THIS IS INACCURATE. I asked the US Post office to refund me for the {$26.00} that this has cost me but they refused and are hiding under the entitled excuse that all sales are final which is neither legitimate nor valid as I was not informed of such a disposition upon shipping the package. The US Post office must be held accountable for their mediocre services. I have made a claim to be refunded but they closed it a few hours later under the excuse that the package had been delivered which is untrue as stated above. A few weeks ago I disputed the {$26.00} transaction with Capital One but they unfairly sided with the Post Office. I have been a customer of the bank since XXXX and today I am in the challeging situation where I am fighting vs two big organisations as a anonymous individual who has no power to be refunded for a service paid that was never rendered. Please refund my card for {$26.00} and do not side with this incompetent and careless organization. If this matter is not promptly resolved and in my favor, I will have no other choices but to file a complaint with the XXXX XXXX XXXX and will proceed until I get refunded.
