Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 they accepted my XXXX XXXX check. They would not allow me to transfer the money out. On XX/XX/2023 they accepted my puppys insurance check to help me pay for my puppys 5 hour XXXX after being mulled by at monstrous XXXX XXXX. My puppy died XXXX days later. Even though I explained to them that that check belonged to my XXXX yr old mother. She paid for XXXX hospital visits and XXXX. They didnt care. Capital One closed my account without telling me when or why. The account was allegedly closed yet they took check. Ive called them on a daily basis but only was transferred to a computer telling me to leave a message, name, and phone number and they will call be back within 48 hrs. Never called me. I spoke with fraud department last night. All he would tell me is my account is being investigated. I asked why and he wouldnt say.. I am XXXX months behind in my bills. They dont care.

Consumer Complaint: Ive not had any prior issues with Capital One granted Ive only had an account for a small time now. On XX/XX/XXXX my beginning of the day available credit was {$770.00}. I went out shopping for XXXX gifts and before doing so called to tell you all of this and to see if I could do anything to pay off my balance and have my available credit adjust near instantly. The representative said that I could do a bill payment ( as Ive done before ) or wire transfer for almost instant posting. I went ahead and used my card and at the end of the shopping spree my available balance was {$67.00}. So to have this increased I went ahead and paid {$500.00} from my Capital One checking using bill pay. When I got home and was doing my budgeting I seen I had enough extra to go ahead and pay more so I paid another {$120.00} from my C1 checking bill pay. I wake up on XX/XX/XXXX to see my {$500.00} posted but not added to my available credit. I keep calling in to get answers and get a different response everytime! The most common ones is A ) the pending transactions in my account are effecting it B ) the money I used on XX/XX/05 included the {$500.00} I paid at the end of the day C ) the money is being held. As per Capital One terms of service they are legally obligated to not withhold any money that has been posted to an account from its available balance. Ive done this a few times when my available credit was low using bill pay from my Capital One checking and Ive never had my money withheld for more than 48 hours from my available credit. Not only is this wrong its illegal and shows Capital One violating their own Terms of Service.

Consumer Complaint: Capital one changes how they allow you to make credit card payments without warning. They use to allow you to use your debit card as a way to make payments which was instant and hassle free however they got rid of the option of paying with a debit card without warning and now I have to wait 1-3 business days for payments to post which makes manage the money in my bank account annoying because I always have to remember I'm waiting for my payment to capital one to come out. I feel like they did this purely so they could get more interest payments out of me or so I'd have to deal with check bouncing fees associated if I forget I'm wait on the payments to come out my account. It'd be one thing if the payment went immediately into pending status on my bank account but it doesn't.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I made a mobile deposit of my payroll check in the amount of XXXX into my capital one checking account. Before the deposit was made it said funds available the next day. After the deposit was made is said funds available XX/XX/XXXX. Then I got an email about the hold until XX/XX/XXXX, then a second email saying it would be released XX/XX/XXXX. I called on XX/XX/XXXX about the hold and a manager said funds would be available on XX/XX/XXXX. My online acct also says XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I called because the funds are not available and am being told XX/XX/XXXX regardless of what the email or my online acct states funds will not be release until XX/XX/XXXX. The bank has given no explanation other than saying XX/XX/XXXX means at XXXX on the XXXX which is actually XX/XX/XXXX after XXXX on the XXXX. Then I was told it was because Im in central time zone and they are eastern time zone and technically it will be XXXX my time XX/XX/XXXX when funds are released. That seems a bit insane.

Consumer Complaint: Venture credit card. A merchant charged {$1900.00} more than they should. The service was misrepresented during the sale, and the merchant refused to give a refund to me. I called Capital One and spoke with a representative. The representative advised to open a dispute for fraudulent transaction. Following the call and submission for a transaction dispute, on XX/XX/2023, XXXX sent an electronic letter requesting more documentation. On XX/XX/XXXX, per the XXXX letter I called XXXX to request a secure upload link - all of this is EXTRA time and effort no the customer 's part. On XX/XX/XXXX after receiving the secure upload link, I uploaded documentation that was requested by XXXX. Then later that day, XXXX sent an electronic letter stating " no requested documentation was received '' and as a result, charged me {$1900.00} and closed the case. This case is NOT closed. I kindly request XXXX to refund my money. {$1900.00} is a lot of money for services that were not rendered.

I have them as a collections on my report that should not be there. These are violating my legal right to privacy and I would like it to be resolved. They have yet to provide proof of any written agreement from myself. Their accounts were created illegally against my authorization violation the fair credit act and my right to privacy. Legally there is suppose to be written proof of notification of any debt 30 days before due date. Shown to be sent by certified mail, Im requesting proof of that from the company.

Consumer Complaint: Capital One requires the complaint be done by phone, then says they do not keep the recording or transcripts of the call. Then they require it to be in writing, and then they deny that and require more information. It has been since XX/XX/XXXX and a few iterations. I am providing the same information and both companies are trying to say that a hotel room booked through XXXX is not fraud when I was not able to stay in the pet friendly room due to a large puddle of XXXX in the floor and an overwhelming odor of XXXX filing the small room. I requested they clean they room. They refused to clean the room, and refused a refund or proof of cancellation. I contacted both XXXX and Capital One the moment I left the hotel, because I needed help with getting access to those funds that day. I had to sleep in my new apartment floor ( tile ) on a yoga mat for two days. This hotel most certainly should not be paid and needs to be shut down for health code violations. Capital One and XXXX are not protecting consumers. Capital One is harassing their own customers to deny legitimate claims .. this is one of several this year they have utterly harassed me over when they had more than adequate evidence to support the fraud claim. I am told I must call to file a dispute. Then I am sent a letter I am told I do not have to fill out, and then sent a letter saying the dispute was denied because it was not filled out, and then the circle of crazy that is wasting time and making it harder and hard to keep up with goes round and round while the three corporations make money while the consumer get exactly ZERO VALUE!! They are saying that services not received due to a unsanitary conditions that pose a health hazard is not fraud. They say it is a dispute on a legitimate charge. REALLY??? NO! They are creating a triangle where the consumer gets screwed. So XXXX gets their cut, Capital One gets their interest, and the hotel that should be shutdown gets to make money they did not earn for unsanitary conditions!! That is exact what FDIC was created for .... NOT! Capital One Case # : XXXX... with XXXX for {$190.00} Capital One Case # XXXX .... XXXX XXXX XXXX {$40.00}
