Consumer Complaint: Capital one has made several Hard inquiries when all of them should have been soft inquiry. The hard inquiries had a negative impact on my credit score/report. it made hard inquiries to major credit bureau XXXX and XXXX. In total in a six-month span did a total of XXXX hard inquiries. I have Called Several times to get this corrected and removed. They should have been soft inquiries. Consumer Complaint: While looking for a property in XXXX, I opened an account at Capital One XXXX XXXX Branch on XX/XX/2023 and deposited {$500.00} transferred from XXXX XXXX XXXX . I've already relocated from XXXX to XXXX XXXX, New York, and purchased a home. When I attempted to use my Capital One account in XXXX after I moved to New York, the the account and money were held, and I was told that my account will be canceled and the {$500.00} will be transferred back to XXXX XXXX XXXX. However, they canceled my Capital One account in XXXX and the remaining {$500.00} was not remitted to my XXXX account with the ending four digit XXXX. I went back and forth between Capital One and XXXX in XX/XX/2023 and both bankers examined the Capital One and XXXX apps, but none showed the {$500.00} reimbursement that had been returned to the XXXX account XXXX. According to the XXXX banker, Capital One withdrew {$500.00} from my previous Capital One account rather than transferring it to XXXX, as indicated as " Withdrawal '' in the statement. Please assist in conducting additional research and contacting Capital One. Please recover my Capital One bank account and make the {$500.00} available for withdrawal or mailing to my current address. I desperately need this money, and it will be XXXX XXXX. Please refund {$500.00} to me as soon as possible. Thank you really much!

Consumer Complaint: Capital One Quicksilver card. I discovered that there were charges from XXXX ( that I have never used ) for {$310.00} charged for 8 months. I also discovered that there were charges from XXXX XXXX for XXXX from XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2023. I tried to find the accounts and contact the merchants but could not login or find an account. I. contacted capital one by phone on XX/XX/XXXX. The dispute dept initially seemed legitimate and in line with other cards, They immediately refunded the money - but then TOOOK IT BACK OUT OF MY ACCOUNT HTE VERY NEXT DAY!??? XXXX XX/XX/XXXX I called themt o ask why they had done this, They said that they had done an " extensive investigation : ( in 24 hours!?? ) and found that they were my accunts and htey had no more information and I could not appeal ti. They said they had no name, phone numenr or address or way for me to take this any furtehr. IN informed them I would contact the consumer finance agency and XXXX. They said " go right ahead '' The agent ( XXXX and XXXX no last names of course! ) paused for about 20 seconds after I spoke each time and kept reading a script ( as these companies do ). I am appalled, I have had a new card issued but I have never experienced a company that admit that they do not call to investigate ( they said they never contacted XXXX or XXXX but sent some sort of electronic tracer ) and they basically insinuated that I was lying, I asked them to show me my account or details and they did not have it. I was unable to contact XXXX or XXXX in any way. CAPITAL ONE should not be allowed to allow merchants take money in this predatory manner. I want my money and the interest from one year back.

I paid XXXX with a credit card to avoid water being turned off. I filed a claim with COB for reimbursement, they denied the claim, I made at least 4 phone calls to their customer service people and claims group and was told on XX/XX/23 that they would place a stop payment on Ck # XXXX ( issued by their bill pay vendor ) and credit my account. I followed up with a phone call on XX/XX/XXXX and was told that the claim had again been denied. I sent an email on XX/XX/23 to both customer service and claims requesting payment, received no response and resent that email on XX/XX/23, again with no response. COB owes me that money and because they are unresponsive, I am submitting this complaint. I am a 20+ year customer of COB and a former employee as well. I've been using their bill pay system for more than 5 years and never had an issue until they changed it in XX/XX/2023. This payment had been going to XXXX with no issues until they changed their system.

Consumer Complaint: I mailed my payment to Capital One as instructed in XXXX I sent it normal mail to the address provided for irregular payments concerning restrictive endorsements per their policy. I called after it was sent and they told me they had no record of it.. I mailed my XXXX payment I sent it in the mail certified mail return receipt requested and it was delivered and accepted on XX/XX/XXXX at Capital One payment processing XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX North Carolina XXXX after a reasonable of time I once again called Capital One and was told after 45 minutes on hold that once again there was no record of my payment.. on XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from Capital One informing me that they are closing my account because this activity on it is not consistent with their expectations for account usage and violates the Capital One customer agreement.. This is clearly discrimination and violates the fair debt collection practices act 15 USC 1692... USC 15 1611..

Consumer Complaint: Card was stolen. I have had to call capital one 4 times already to try and get the thieves to stop charging my card. They have sent me new cards but the thieves are still charging my new card. CapitalOne has assured me multiple times that the charges would go away but they have not. I don't want to call every single month and talk for an hour and have to get a new card every time someone uses my new unopened unactivated credit card.
