Consumer Complaint: after being sick and tired of the fees and other garbage that this company has been charging me- i called in the customer service - got my pay off and paid it - then closed my account. a month later i receive a bill for interest on the closed account- i called in again- to pay off and complain - the cycle and i'm afraid will continue. I see this as predatory credit practices and interest charged on a closed account that i specifically called in to pay off in full so i can be rid of them. Comenity bank will never get my business again and i will continue to fight them on this - would appreciate the investigation into their practices and failures.

Consumer Complaint: Two accounts are showing up negative, and continue to report negatively, when I did a debt consolidation, or debt settlement with a company years ago ... XXXX The company was called XXXX XXXX... And I paid the debt off thru them. WHen i call the creditors, it says I have a XXXX balance, however still affecting me very negatively and still appearing to report for months now and years afterwards. The Comenity My Place Rewards, balance of {$290.00} paid off and XXXX which is also Comenity Bank, balance of {$970.00}. Both paid off before XXXX. Everytime I call the companies, I am reassured there is a XXXX balance yet it is still reporting negatively. Please HELP : (

Consumer Complaint: I have had a XXXX card for many years. Five years ago I moved to a new address. I have received my XXXX statement at this new address several times since my move. I pay my card off often, so will go for months without a statement. Due to being out of work for a year, I hadn't made any purchases on this card until just this last summer when I had a job interview. I made a purchase at a store and put it on the XXXX card ( Comenity Bank ) I waited several weeks for the bill. When I attempted to sign in to my account, multiple times, I could not ( I was told when I called their site had changed ). I called and was told a bill was mailed out and now I had a late charge. I said I never received a bill and could not pay online. They removed the late fee and I paid {$30.00} toward the charge. Upon investigation, she said the bill was sent to my old address. I was shocked. I hadnt lived at that address for 5 years, requested no address change and the abusive husband, who has been suing me for divorce in a very long and nasty lawsuit lives at that address, now has a new card and the statement! I asked for the card to be canceled, though I still had a balance and for a new statement to be sent. I still did not have a card number, no access to online payments or no idea when the bill was due ( except knowledge of generally when I paid before ). Three weeks later, still no card or statement had been sent. I called again to see what the problem was. Before speaking to XXXX agent, the recording told me my balance and it was the same as before, as if Id never paid the {$30.00} payment. I asked about this and was told I was charged another late fee! I explained what happened before, with the statement being sent to the old address, how my credit was compromised by Comenity and she refused to remove the late fee and interest charges. I was so upset. She gave me an address to write my complaint. I again asked for a statement to be sent. To this day I still have not ever received the original statement. I only received one statement with the late fee and interest charges. I paid the rest of the balance that day, minus the late fee. I also asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor, by the way told me that my statement had never been sent to the old address, which is a lie, because the day I was told this the XXXX agent read off that address verbatim. How would she have known that? I have sent a letter to the Corporate office asking them to remove all the late fees and interest. However, in the meantime I am going to have to pay, because my one statement Ive received says minimum payment {$27.00}, or they will charge ANOTHER late fee. I feel like I am caught in a scam. In the meantime, I did get a job and went shopping for clothes at XXXX XXXX and got talked in to the card for a substantial savings off my purchase. It turned out to be the same bank. I should have known better, they are owned by the same company. When I went to pay THAT bill online two days before the due date, the site was under maintenance! I tried again over the next two days and the same thing. I finally called and was able to pay it at 6 pm on the due date. I paid my bill in full. Wouldnt you know, they charged me a late fee? It was supposed to be paid by 6 pm Eastern time, while their entire site is under maintenance. Something is very fishy at Comenity. I have canceled both cards. I am also writing XXXX XXXX and telling them I will no longer shop in their stores. I do not know if they own this bank, but they are affiliated. Please help me make this right.

Consumer Complaint: Without any knowledge of our XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX card transfer to another servicer, ( Comenity ) we received a letter on XX/XX/XXXX from Comenity, that our payment arrangement with our previous servicer did not transfer. I paid no attention to this letter because I had paid off the XXXX card on XX/XX/XXXX and had put the card away and did not use it again. Our final payment was for {$3400.00}. We have proof from the bank of this payment and a confirmation of payment from XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX we received a statement from Comenity that we have a balance of {$930.00}. I knew we had paid it off so I contacted Comenity and the issue was put into dispute. At this time we sent a letter showing the dates and amount paid and asked for any relevant statement to show that we have a balance. On XX/XX/XXXX they sent a letter " As stated in the previous correspondence dated XX/XX/XXXX, some information is missing to investigate your payment of {$500.00} is missing. We went to our bank and got proof from the bank manager of the {$500.00} that we paid. We then received a letter stating we have no record of your disputed XXXX signature payment. On XX/XX/XXXX we received another letter saying we contacted them about a missing payment of {$1100.00}. We did NOT contact them about this missing payment. All correspondence is very confusing. We sent a copy of all payments made when the card was with XXXX and copies of our statements. When we stopped using the card we forgot to change the auto payment that had been set up with our bank. It was {$35.00} per month. We failed to notice thaXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX was receiving this each month. After our last payment they continued to take this payment monthly until XXXX of XXXX, ( 17 months ). We sent them a spreadsheet showing what we charged and what we paid and with the monthly auto payment we feel they owe us money. I also reached out to XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX but they said they could not help us because not help us and gave us the Comenity phone number. I do believe they have sent us to collection. They have never given us anything to prove we had a balance when they took over the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX account. Each letter they have sent us they send us do not make sense. We have had a good credit score because we always pay our bills.

Consumer Complaint: 1. Balance was paid in full in mid XXXX ( ~ {$140.00} ) XXXX. In XXXX we were sent a statement that says we had XXXX something dollars worth of credit in the card, XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX : They went into my bank account and withdrew {$45.00} ( an arrangement I had made with them prior to account being paid off ). This is despite the account being paid off. XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX : They went into our account and deposited the {$45.00} they withdrew on XX/XX/XXXX ( again, because the account was paid off ). XXXX. From that point on, they started charging us for checks bouncing from our bank account. Obviously nothing bounced since : ( a ) account was paid off so they were not supposed to withdraw any money, ( b ) they went into the account and actually withdrew the money successfully and deposited back in. XXXX. For the past month my husband has spoken to six customer representatives and escalated this twice and no one was able to help. Plus, they even charged us now for being late on bogus charges despite the account being paid off since XXXX. Every time my husband calls they want me on the phone to approve despite authorizing my husband on account ( even to take off the bogus extra 'late ' fees we are being charged ). XXXX. I tried to reach out to IKEA on social media to escalate and no luck.

Consumer Complaint: bread financial my credit card was lost and i advised. the company about these issues was going on and the charges was not mines at all./ the company over has failed me as a customer and i have a negative remark on my credit profile dealing with these high concerns i want this company to take accountability in their actions failing to do a proper investigation ... since the card was activated i never used the card at all when it was time to for me to locate my credit i was unable to locate the card. all transaction was fraud done without my knowledge.

Consumer Complaint: This is regarding an Ann Taylor card by Comenity. Customer service by both was awful. I thought I had paid off my card before going to XXXX XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. I saw around XX/XX/XXXX that I had to pay XXXX. I paid to my XXXX checking account I am a Private Client and have XXXX in the account. Ann Taylor/Comenity claim the funds were not there. Another time a rep of XXXX said there is no account. There is a chance I typed in a wrong number. My SIM card had changed. Maybe XXXX thought it was fraud as my computer must have shown to be in another country. But I paid other accounts with no problem and did not receive a fraud email. I received a {$25.00} fee that the transaction was rejected, XXXX XXXXXXXX interest on this, another {$25.00} fee on the previous fee and maybe {$1.00} on interest. {$54.00}! for XXXX allegedly not paid. I paid it off in XXXX when I returned and finally closed the card after several attempts to get my money back. XXXX HAS NO RECORD OF ANY XXXX TRYING TO GO THROUGH. I think these are bogus charges. They know nothing about customer service as XXXX does, which is the XXXX XXXX USA bank. Ann Taylor stores close and they don't care if they lose a customer. There is no way XXXX was not in the account. Why charge so much for some glitch or something on purpose they do to steal money. I will not go to a collection agency over this. Please regulate Comenity ( of Bread Financial ) and see if others have the same complaint. I am sure they do!

Consumer Complaint: I am suffering financial hardship and having difficulty paying my bill to Comenity Bank that holds the account on my Big Lots credit account. Comenity Bank does not observe rule under the FDCPA of calling 7 times within a 7 day period, or once within 7 days if they have spoken with me. I have record in my phone of at least 4-5 phone attempts PER DAY. Today, XX/XX/23 they have made 2 attempts within a 19 minute period. I also recall within the last week that I spoke with someone and asked for the repeated calls to stop.
