I received my first invoice in XX/XX/XXXX and paid it in full and on time on XX/XX/XXXX using a standard personal check. Comenity has accepted the funds and has not recorded it as paid. Now they are calling me several times a day. I provided Comenity written proof from XXXX XXXX and mailed it to the address they requested over a month ago and the calls are still coming in.

Consumer Complaint: I have made this complaint about Comenity Bank probably XXXX times now. They have an unfair and unethical practice of reducing credit limits when they notice that you are paying down your balance. Example your balance is XXXX, you pay it down to XXXX, they lower your limit to make it look like you are maxed out. You pay it down to {$200.00}, they will lower it to {$100.00}. They claim its after a review of your account, but its false. Even if your score has not changed, they do this to purposely harm your credit. NO other credit card company does this to me. They claimed it was because my score lowered but theyve been doing this for years & I received a notification my credit score actually went up. Please pull my previous complaint for the screenshots but this is the newest one I got. I did a little test run. I paid off my credit card with them. The limit was {$400.00}. I paid it off and today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) I received a letter saying they lowered it to {$100.00} after a review of my account. Meanwhile I received a credit alert saying my score increased so why did they lower it? Theyre purposely trying to ruin customers credits. This bank is so unethical and I think this practice itself needs to be stopped because I guarantee I am not the only customer they are harming.

Consumer Complaint: I had a charge account with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I paid my bill every month on-line through my bank app on the second of every month. I got a notice in XX/XX/XXXX that my payment that my payment was {$14.00} and instead of making an over-payment by continuing my {$50.00} payment I paid {$14.00}. When my statement came in XX/XX/XXXX, it had me owing over {$40.00}. I called the customer service and spoke with someone who told me I was being charged {$25.00} late fee and that I needed to pay {$8.00}. This all occurred the first week of XXXX. I asked the rep to waive the fee and I told him I would go into my local XXXX store and pay the {$8.00} ( XX/XX/XXXX ). I went on-line to ensure the store rep told me the truth and I still saw my balance was over {$40.00}. I phoned back and spoke with a different person ( female ) and she verified that my account balance was {$8.00} and the late fee was waived. In XXXX I received another bill doubling the fees and I phoned again and this time I was told because I paid on XX/XX/XXXX instead of XX/XX/XXXX, I owed more fees. I told the rep I had been a loyal customer and paid bill on time and I have no intention of paying any late fees especially when I only owed {$8.00}. We are retired and our in-come helps care for my spouse and I and I refused to be " nickel and dimed '' to death for no good reason. Now the present billing statement is over {$300.00} plus I have gotten hundreds of unknown calls from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I always pay my bills on time. Comenity Bank has taken over XXXX XXXX and has not sent me a statement. I normally pay all my bills by money order so its very important that I receive my statements because this is how I know to pay my bill. I don't online pay any of my bills. Even though I have not received a statement I called to get the address on XX/XX/XXXX so that I could send my payment off in time to reach the bank. The payment was mailed on XXXX XXXX. On this particular day I sent 3 bills out in the mail. The other two have posted as paid but not the one I sent to Comenity. The address that the lady on the phone gave me is Comenity Capital Bank XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX TX XXXX. This is where I sent my {$100.00} money order. I don't know why this payment hasn't posted since the other two that I sent on the same day reached their destinations. It may have something to do with the fact that I have never received a statement from Comenity Bank about my payment but whatever it is it's on their end and not mine. When I called today, XXXX XXXX, 2023 the person I spoke with said I would most likely get a late fee if they don't receive my payment by Friday, XXXX XXXX. I reminded her that I never received a statement and that a late fee is unfair because Comenity Bank didn't do their part by sending me the statement ( acrually they haven't sent anything with my new account info ). I should not get penalized while they try to figure out why I haven't received a statement or any new account info from them. The bigger issue is that I do not want my credit score impacted because of their slackness. Why should my credit take a hit because of this bank transfer. I have NEVER been late on any payment that I have. As a bank they know how lateness negatively affects the credit score. They need to get this fixed ASAP.

Consumer Complaint: To whom it may concern, I recently disputed late fees off my credit report of the dates XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX However, my dispute was denied. Your company is in clear violation of the law under 15 USC 1681b permissible purpose of consumer reports. LAW CLEARLY STATES. Subject to subsection ( c ) any consumer reporting agency may furnish a consumer report under the following circumstances. ( 2 ) In accordance with the written instructions of the consumer to whom it relates. Did i give you written instructions to furnish late payments on my credit report? Fair credit reporting Act 15USC 1681 ( 2 ) ( a ) ( I ) exclusions : except as a provided in paragraph ( 3 ) the term " consumer report '' DOES NOT INCLUDE ( a ) subject 1681s-3 of this title any ( i ) report containing information solely as to transaction or experience between the consumer and the person ( Commenity Bank ) making the report : Delete the above late payments from my consumer report, this company is in violation of 15 USC 1681 ( i ). I have also reached out to them as it has been noted in their system that I should have been taken off the hardship program since XX/XX/XXXX. They have been giving me a lot of excuses as to why they have failed to remove me from the program. I have been going back and forth and nothing has been resolved. I was never notified that i was still enrolled or unenrolled out of the program. Never received any documentation. I also requested and the representative refused to send me a copy.
