Consumer Complaint: There was {$1.00} late fee from a payment that was made literally XXXX hour after their " cut off time '' so i paid the account balance which included the ridiculous late fee and current charges. Which means the balance was paid before closing date. I contacted them in reference to this and they said they are not able to waive a {$1.00} late fee! And now they are charging me a finance charge fee on a late fee. Absolutely ridiculous. What I owe I have paid so the balance is only fees. My obligation has been satisfied.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of 2023 I called the credit card company to inquire about any fees I would incur should I use my credit card during my upcoming trip to the XXXX. I was informed by the agent on the phone that I would not be charged any extra fees if I used my credit card internationally. Because of this information, I decided to use this card for all expenses on my trip to the XXXX in XX/XX/2023. When I received my bill, I was charged foreign currency fees in the amount of {$76.00}. I called the company several times to discuss my concerns, let them know that I was told by the agent in XXXX I would not incur any charges, and I attempted to come to a resolution. I was told to send a message to the credit card company outlining my dispute. In this message ( and during several phone calls after ) I requested a review of the conversation that took place between me and the agent in XXXX. I called today in an attempt to access these messages in order to support my complaint here, but was told by a representative in the dispute area that these messages couldn't be retrieved. The written correspondence between me and the credit card company has " disappeared ''. I paid the entire balance ( {$2600.00} ) of my legitimate charges in full and on time in XXXX. I did not pay the foreign fees, since I was told directly by the credit card company prior to the purchases that I would not incur any additional fees and I filed a dispute. Up until today, as far as I knew, based on the messages that I sent, a dispute was in process. When I called today to retrieve the written correspondence the agent said there was no dispute and I need to pay the current amount, {$190.00}. This amount includes interest and several late fees on the wrongful charge of {$76.00} back in XXXX. I again requested to have my phone conversation reviewed, but he said it " most likely wouldn't matter '' if he did that. In addition to the wrongful charges of {$76.00} in XXXX, I have now been charged an additional {$120.00} in interest and late fees on the wrongful charge. Also, my credit score dropped XXXX points as a result of the credit card company reporting on this issue. Today I offered to pay the initial charge of {$76.00} if the credit card company was willing to remove the late fees and interest charges and withdraw their report that took my XXXX score down XXXX points. They were unwilling to come to this compromise, which I believe was generous considering the initial charge was one I was directly told by the agent who works for the credit card company that I would not incur. I look forward to some resolution on this situation. The credit card company has been unreasonable and unprofessional.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2022 I went into Ulta they let me know I was pre-approved for a credit card. I accepted and paid for my items that day in cash. I never received the credit card in the mail, so I assumed it did not go through. Three months later in XXXX I was called about being late on my credit card statement for Ulta. After I assured them I never received a card, so I had not used it I asked to file a claim of fraud. They were not cooperative and their calls kept coincidently dropping when I was close to a resolution. I finally got to someone who said they would file a claim for me, and that my account was under investigation. The company kept harassing me with robocalls and rude debt collectors even though I told them my account was in review. They were also charging me interest and late fees on a card I never received let alone used, which has been negatively affecting my credit score. I have never received an Ulta card, which I also reported to them and I never made a purchase. They told me to get my receipt from the store but by the time I tried to get the receipt, the store manager it had been too long and they no longer had my receipt in the system. But the fact remains that I never received nor activated an Ulta card, therefore the purchase amount, interest, and late fees are not mine to incur.

Consumer Complaint: I tried to make a payment on the due date at XXXX pm on XX/XX/23 to the bank for my XXXX card ( XXXXXXXX/Comenity ) and discover that's a cut off time XXXX, so if XXXX paying after XXXX on my due date it will post next day and the late fee if {$37.00} will apply. After that I checked my account I discovered that on XX/XX/23 I also was charged {$37.00}. And I paid my payment on my date due of XX/XX/23. I would like to know if this is legal or it is another way to get peoples money. Also, I never got any notification that on the due date there is an early cut of time. After calling and talking to customer service I was told that nothing could be done about it. I would like the late fee posted on XX/XX/23 to be refunded and late fee for XX/XX/23 not to be posted or refunded. Thank you for your consideration. XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: i attempted to make a purchase at Big Lots store and credit card for the store would not process the purchase. Tried twice by inserting my social security number and the system indicated DENIED. The store clerk recommended contacting the bank ( Comenity Capital Bank ). I contacted the bank and they requested that I reapply for the credit card. I decided not to and applied for a credit card at my XXXX XXXX. That is when I found out I had a {$6000.00} overdue bill delinquent, which affected my credit score ( XXXX ). The bank has reduced our balance to XXXX balance but our Credit Score has not been adjusted as far as I know. It appears a XXXX has been committed and although we may be able to resolve the issue as far as our credit score but someone should be charged with the crime and make restitution to us and the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX.
