Consumer Complaint: I had a service done in late XXXX at Ulta Beauty that I was billed for, for {$21.00}. I wrote the check for that amount on XXXX and mailed it. I get a bill/credit card statement in the amount of {$21.00} the following month. I called to tell them they received the payment and the women told me the {$21.00} was a late fee. They said they records show payment was late. I don't know if the mail has caused it to get there late or someone posted the payment to my account late. I did not pay the late fee. I told them it was an outrageous late fee. Now I receive another statement with an additional late fee of {$21.00} for not paying {$21.00} plus a {$2.00} interest fee. This bill is now up to {$45.00}. I have never seen anything like this in my life. Charging late fee on top of late fees. I closed the account but the late fees keep coming.

Consumer Complaint: I purchased something from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and they offered credit card with promo 12 months deferred interest, I took that offer, now in XX/XX/2023 before those XXXX promotion balances expire I contacted customer care of the bank and made a minimum payment plus entire amount to cover this XXXX promotional balances, I requested to allocate everything I paid on top of minimum payment towards those XXXX promotional balances to pay them off in time to avoid interest rate. They said that they stopped manually allocating payments few months ago its their bank policy, so system will allocate this payment accordingly not to be worry. following month I've received a statement showing my payment and they allocated entire payment towards revolving balance but XXXX towards those expiring promo balances with deferred interest rate, I contacted them again, asking why my payment was allocated or distributed completely wrong and referred to CFPB rule {$1000.00} ( a ) XXXX stated that they should allocated any payments over minimum payment in the last XXXX billing cycles towards those promotional balances, or allocate it manually, they said im right and its a system error that they don't understand how it happened, so the management admitted there is a issue and filed a dispute to their financial department to correct the issue. Fast forward, now Im 2 days before promo balances will expire on XX/XX/2023 and nothing has been done, I called again and they said it can take up to XXXX billing cycles from now to have a result of this dispute, they confirmed that they will XXXX deferred interest over {$700.00} to my account, and if results of dispute shows they are wrong they will credit those money back to me. It looks like bank implemented a system to make it difficult or next to impossible to pay off promotional balances in time so that can collect deferred interest rate. Consumer Complaint: In XXXX I opened a XXXX 's Bridal account with Comenity Bank. In XX/XX/XXXX, Comenity closed my account without prior notice. In XX/XX/XXXX, I called Comenity to find out the total balance I would need to pay to settle my account. They told me {$370.00} and so I paid that amount. In either XXXX or XXXX, I received a late payment notification from my bank. I paid all my accounts on time, but when I checked the details it said Comenity Bank. I called Comenity to inquire about this. The representative told me that I did not pay the {$6.00} interest that was charged the next month ( XX/XX/XXXX ). I explained that I had no knowledge of an existing balance because I called to get the total balance to settle the account and assumed everything was good on my end when I paid it. I also told the rep that I had no problem paying the {$6.00} interest but I would need that to be removed from my credit. The late payment caused my score to drop by over XXXX points. The Comenity rep said they would not be able to remove the late payment from my credit report. I have contacted all XXXX credit bureaus, but despite explaining the situation, the only investigation done is the verify that the account is valid. *Please note that I opened the account under my maiden name XXXX XXXX and my email at the time was XXXX.
