Consumer Complaint: I have been trying to setup online services for my XXXX account since it was transitioned to Comenity Bank. My previous account was setup on auto pay, and this did not transition to the new company. I have tried since XXXX and am presented with an error on their website " Its not you! Its us. Were experiencing a technical issue. Our team is working to resolve this as soon as possible. Please try again later. '' I have contact Comenity Bank on multiple occasions about this issue and have gone through countless troubleshooting steps with them. During one of my most recent conversations, a supervisor stated that the issue was theirs, and that they would create a ticket with their " back office '' and have it resolved. It has still yet to be resolved. When I call, they continuously tell me that it's an issue on my end, even though the error clearly states that it's on theirs. This causes considerable confusion for a basic consumer. Additionally, when someone calls in and tells you that their online account isn't working, don't recommend online account resolutions. Why would a customer service agent tell me I can update something online when I have JUST explained to them that I can't create an online account? This account was reported as delinquent to the credit reporting agencies due to Comenity Bank 's inability to properly assist in creation of an online account. They then refuse to assist in troubleshooting the issue even though the messages clearly state that the issue is theirs, not the consumers. They make it nearly impossible to get account information to send in payments via mail, they won't give you your account number, which they say is required on the check to process the payment... It's truly astonishing that this type of behavior is allowed to happen.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 at about XXXXXXXX XXXX My son XXXX XXXX called customer care for Comenity Bank who issued the Bealls Outlet card. Phone # was XXXX I gave him lifetime permission to speak on my behalf. He spoke to XXXX employee # XXXX she was rude and didn't want to transfer him to the collections department. She refused saying 'I will not allow you to be transferred you do not make decisions for your mother '' I had to get on the phone and tell her to transfer him. My son was not making decisions for me but rather helping to settle a debt through a lump-sum settlement. After he was being transferred they decided to hang up on him. This was unprofessional and ridiculous behavior for a company to display toward a customer and their family member. I want to free some credit and help my credit grow in the long run.

I never received a bill or anything other than it showing up on my credit report. Someone had used my information from an old address that i lived at the open up this account and had even paid part of the balance on it. I didnt even live at this former address for 2 years when this account was opened. I called XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX to see if they could help me verify that this account was opened by identity theft and they said since i had a creditor investigate it that they couldnt do anything to help now. I didnt even know that this account was opened since i have never received a bill to my current address. I have asked that XXXX again look into this as fraud because it is and i have no awareness of this account. Please make this right. Thank you.

As soon as I realized the charges I called comenity ( the company XXXX uses for their credit cards ) to dispute the charges. They told Me they did an investigation and found I was responsible for the charges. I had never been to that store prior to today, XX/XX/XXXX. I went to the store to find out if they could give me video footage but they will not.
