Issue: Credit monitoring or identity theft protection services
Subissue: Billing dispute for services
Consumer Complaint: I have an Ann Taylor XXXX account. Unbeknownst me, I was not aware I was delinquent on my account as I never received notification from Comenity Bank and or Ann Taylor XXXX by mail. Upon hearing a voicemail message from XXXX Bank in XXXX I returned the call to inquire on the amount and speak with a CSR. I paid the amount on the phone and advised the CSR I never received notification in the mail of the latency to my account. The CSR stated they do not send notifications by mail as I was on paperless invoicing. I advised the CSR I never signed up for paperless invoicing. Fourteen days later, I received an update from the credit bureaus showing the 30-day delinquency and my limit had been drastically reduced. Of my having this account since XXXX I have never been late. I spoke with a supervisor on XX/XX/XXXX to inform him I never signed up for paperless billing, I was never properly notified of said delinquency as sending emails does not support delivery, to reinstate my credit limit, and to remove the 30-day reporting from the credit bureaus. The supervisor stated they could not remove the reporting as I would need to contest it on my end with all three bureaus. Supervisor further stated he could request a credit increase but that would be pending approval. I told the supervisor that was unacceptable as the error was on their end and not mine. I informed the supervisor I would be filing a complaint with the CFPB to get my concern resolved.

Issue: Problem when making payments
Subissue: Problem during payment process
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022, XX/XX/2022, and XX/XX/2022, I attempted to make a payment on my store XXXX credit card online, but an error message appeared and advised me to contact Customer Care. I've been trying to make a payment on my XXXX credit card for a while online but always get an error message whenever I have a past due balance. I called the store to see if I could make a payment with them, but they told their systems were unavailable to accept pay. It's so frustrating handling my affairs with this company. They purposely make it hard for you to pay your bill and your account accrues tons of charges. I reached out to XXXX today to let them know my problems, asked to speak to a manager, got transferred to XXXX, I asked XXXX could he walk through the transactions with me to give me more information about the interest, finance, and late fees that were all inconsistent and out of order. XXXX Was no help, he went broken record and continued to repeat himself. He didn't offer a solution or make sure my problem was going to resolved today. He didn't bother pulling up my account either. XXXX seems to be unfair and has deceptive practices for charging unnecessary fees.

Consumer Complaint: This is in regards to existing complaint case no. XXXX, which was filed on XXXX. The companys response was unsatisfactory and incomplete yet I today ( XXXX XXXX ) received notification that my account is now delinquent, despite my repeated attempts to contact Comenity Bank and receive any means of logging in to my account. I have relocated abroad and have made every attempt to contact Comenity via email, social media, and complains to no avail. Consumer Complaint: Comenity bank, now known as Bread owns the XXXX XXXX credit card. Multiple times their website is down when trying to make a payment. They say to call them, just to wait HOURS on hold with no one ever helping. When the payment finally goes through ( late because of their issues ), they charge late fees. They are purposely ripping customers off to make a profit on late fees.
