Consumer Complaint: This XXXX, I decided to close my XXXX Comenity credit card. I had a balance of {$64.00} and paid it in full on XX/XX/XXXX. I then contacted their customer service and requested that my account be closed as soon as the payment posted. I received confirmation from them that they would be closing the account. I checked my account the following day and saw that the payment was posted and my balance was {$0.00}. I also received a letter from Comenity dated XX/XX/XXXX confirming that my current balance was {$0.00} and the account was closed. A few weeks later, I received a bill from Comenity for a {$40.00} late fee and {$2.00} interest charge. They are claiming that the fee was charged on XX/XX/XXXX which contradicts their confirmation on XX/XX/XXXX that my account balance was {$0.00}. So essentially they charged me this fee after I had made my payment in full and after they confirmed that the account was closed.

Consumer Complaint: Made a purchase on my comenity express credit card on XX/XX/XXXX for XXXX. I Returned the item on XXXXOnly purchase I made of billing cycle so balance should have been XXXX and no payment should have been due. On XX/XX/XXXX I was charged a late fee of XXXX. I called customer service and was told they would waive the fee and and interest and account would be at XXXX and assured me I needed to do nothing else on my end and was in good standing. However I was charged a {$2.00} interest charge on XX/XX/XXXX and then another late fee of XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and another interest charge of {$2.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. I called customer service again today XX/XX/XXXX hoping to resolve issue to no resolve and was only willing to waive one late fee. I have nothing to show for the {$57.00} they are billing me for as the pants I had purchased were returned. I had been told my account was XXXX out and was in good standing and no action was needed from me. I feel I was mislead by customer service and basically being charged for nothing and have nothing to show for it. Even tried speaking with a supervisor with no luck resolving the issue. I would just like my account zeroed out and closed as I have done everything on my end to try and resolve the issue. I have been a customer since XXXX and never had issues in paying late fees when I was at fault. I would expect in customer service an understanding of situation and a willingness to compromise when a king good standing customer is reaching out and being upfront about situation. Very disappointed.

Consumer Complaint: This issues started last year around XX/XX/2023. Sony Comenity was either bought out or partner by Bread Financial in late XXXX During this time, I have had issues trying to log in to my account. I click on forgot password to have it reset. Once I entered the new password, it took me to the next page where it says : " We're sorry. A technical glitch occurred and your request could not be completed. Please try again ''. I have called about this problem many times. Still not one employee helped solve this issue. I have also sent a letter to Bread Financial to have this issue fixed. I have not heard from them. I have not received any letter in the mail from them either. There is no way I can log into my account to view transactions to help prevent fraud. I have been a long time customer of Sony Comenity and never had any problem paying my bill or login to my account until Bread Financial took over. To this day, the problem is left unsolved since I tried the same thing before I came on here to file a complaint.

Consumer Complaint: I had trouble paying my Commenity Bank credit card during covid and they started ramping up interest fees and late payments. I contacted them through the online portal to arrange a payment schedule and try to eliminate the fees. They began calling me constantly and after a few times, I refused to answer. I have been paying {$75.00} a month for the last two and a half years and they keep assessing fees and have jacked my interest to almost 30 %. My balance started at about {$4400.00} and has now risen to about {$4700.00} with fees and added interest. And they call five or six times a day. I have continued to try to resolve this through email, but they insist on calling, and I frankly don't trust my data with a third party in another country. I can pay XXXX XXXX/month under a reasonable interest rate. They have just continued to add on monthly fees and have made my current minimum payment over {$600.00}. I have been faithfully paying XXXX XXXX/month the whole time.

Consumer Complaint: Comenity Bank/ LNBryant. I paid my XX/XX/XXXX statement in full before the XX/XX/XXXX due date. Comenity Bank access me a {$2.00} interest fee on a {$0.00} balance for XXXX. Unbeknown to me Comenity Bank generated a bill for {$2.00} that was due on XX/XX/XXXX. Mean while I'm thinking that I closed my account in good standing, they are reporting me 30 days late to XXXX causing my score to decrease from XXXX to XXXX. I contacted Comenity bank who informed of the {$2.00} which I paid. They credited my the {$30.00} late fee but once I requested to speak with a supervisor to closed the account. The supervisor tried to explain to me the closure process which I stated was unnecessary They then proceeded to closed the account while reporting the XXXX that the account was delinquent with me owing them {$14.00}. I file a dispute through XXXX concerning the matter. They just reported back to me on XX/XX/XXXX with a result of account being in good standing but yet still showing 30 day delinquency for XXXX of XXXX.
