Consumer Complaint: I was a victim of identity theft. The thief/thieves were able to take out credit cards in my name as well as open bank accounts and obtain personal loans without my knowledge. I have been writing to the commenity bank, XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX as well as XXXX XXXX and XXXX regarding this issue on and off for about two years. Victorias secret is reporting a charged off account of {$0.00} on my credit report, XXXX {$6500.00} charged off account, XXXX XXXX {$0.00} charged off account, XXXX XXXX {$0.00} charged off account. I have requested multiple times for validation and verification to be sent to me from these creditors showing proof that these accounts were in fact opened by me, since they have been reporting these on my credit report for the past few years hurting me financially. I have let them know that there were multiple names and addresses that did not belong to me, which most of them the bureaus have removed, but there is still a variation of my name that i have never been associated with that remains. I have also been in touch with the 3 bureaus begging them to investigate and request proof of these accounts with no luck, seems that my rights as a consumer are being violated, hence the reason I am reaching out to the CFPB for help in this matter.

Consumer Complaint: I purchased a ring from XXXX XXXX on an XXXX months no interest plan. The credit is issued by Comenity. I set auto pay through my bank to handle the monthly payments. A few months in I looked at the statement and Comentiy was charging me interest every month. Calling them resulted in no resolution, I addressed the situation with XXXX XXXX and they agree with me and have been calling Comenity with no resolution after 2 months. This has been escalated to XXXX 's district manager and Comenity is not calling them back. This is very frustrating and outright theft. They are not abiding by their promotional terms.

I have expressed to them Several times as well as sent two different police reports. I have disputed with the credit bureaus several times but they continue to verify the account without being able to send information that validates the account. I have been a victim of fraud the last ten years and have informed the company of stolen identity. The account has been sold several times and each time I am not being given proof of burden. I want the account removed from ALL credit reporting agencies due to its fraudulent nature and negative impact on my credit profile. Consumer Complaint: Comenity Bank is calling my cell phone looking for my mother-in-law. I have repeatedly told them this is not her number, I am not her, to remove my number from their system and to stop calling. First they told me they would but I needed to have her call them within hours. It is not my job to do their job and I am not getting involved in her finances or debt collection issues. After I said that, they continued to call and are very, very rude every time I return their messages to tell them AGAIN they have the wrong number and person saying things like, " I don't know who you are and I didn't call you. '' As if that even matters. The person taking my call indeed represents this company so yes, you DID in fact call me. No matter what I say they argue with me and then pretend to remove me from their system but do not. I am tired of the harassment. I have excellent credit that I check weekly and do not owe this company any money.

Consumer Complaint: I have an account named community bank/jared XXXX XXXX on my XXXX credit report this is the first XXXX digits of the account number XXXX I do not have the last XXXX digits of the account number sorry. you are in direct violation of the fair credit reporting act has violated several of my rights. 15 U.S.C 1681 section 602 A. Clearly states that I have the right to privacy. 15 U.S.C 1681 section 604 A section2 it also states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instructions. 15 U.S.C 1666B A creditor may not treat a payment on a credit card account under an open-end consumer credit plan as late for any purpose. Remove these late payment and update this account immediately as you are in direct violation of several laws under the fair credit reporting Act.
