Consumer Complaint: I initiated a dispute on shipping charges on my XXXX XXXX store card for a refrigerator I ordered and then cancelled, I received a credit for the price of the refrigerator but not for the shipping charges. The store representative I spoke with was not willing to remove the charges ; therefore a resorted to the card issuer institution, this being Comenity Capital Bank. I initiated a dispute for the amount of {$340.00} ( the shipping charges ) on XXXX of XXXX, in XXXX I received a letter advising that the dispute had been closed, I called the bank to get the reason why it had been closed. They were not able to give me a clear reasoning so I re-opened the dispute. I would call from time to time to find out the status of the dispute and they continue to tell me that it was in process, during this time they had been charging me late fees and interest fees, I brought it to their attention in XXXX of XXXX and they credited me for XXXX late fees. The process continued and I continued to call them to follow up, in XX/XX/XXXX, they finally told me that they could not do anything about it and that it would be best if I called XXXX XXXX directly ; so I did, I called them on the first days of XX/XX/XXXX and finally a floor manager by the name of XXXX was able to credit the store card with the {$340.00} for the shipping, she told me she would not be able to credit me for the late fees or interest charges. I called Comenity again to request credit for the charges on the shipping charges that were being disputed. I asked why the account or the charges had not been suspended to avoid late fees or other charges, they told me something to the effect that my card did not have that service, which I found arbitrary as the account continue to be charged on charges that were being disputed and the possibility existed of them being eventually removed, furthermore, my account was reported to the credit reporting agencies for late payments. Today I spent most of my day appealing to Comenity for a credit on charges that I feel where not justified as the charge that originated them was not right. I called seven times today because a got hang up on when I asked to be transferred to a supervisor or a manager, the last person I spoke with suggested I called XXXX XXXX for the credit since they were the ones that charge the shipping charges. In my opinion, the account should have been put on hold until a resolution was achieved, instead they continue to charge me until the account accumulated {$130.00} in interest and late fees. I will make a payment to the account to avoid the damaging reports to the credit reporting agencies but this bank should be monitored for this kind of unfair business practices.

Consumer Complaint: Approximately 4 weeks ago I realized some erroneous / derogatory information was being reflected on my credit reports. I first called the companies to try to resolve and make sure no further charges occurred as I believe that I am a victim of identity theft. I then submitted disputes with XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. I could really use some help trying to sort this out and want accuracy. This is negatively affecting me and my credit. The accounts do not belong to me and I never opened or applied for credit with these companies. Was it done in-store or online? Is there a photo id or signature verification? What City and State did this fraud happen in? Is there PROOF that these accounts/ debts belong to me? I had a primary residence for 15years ( XXXX to XXXX ) ; then lived at a friend 's house for 1yr 7mo ; and have been at my current address since XXXX ( 4yrs 5 mo ). This can be substantiated with change of address status thru the USPS as well as filed tax returns. I never benefited or received any merchandise, products, or items including lines of credit, loans, or finances since I did not shop or order from these companies. Consumer Complaint: Today I received 8 phone calls about a late payment. My payment was 7 days late. I made the payment on Monday, however, I was {$9.00} short ( I thought my payment was {$30.00} ) and I guess this caused them to call me 8 times without messages left, on 2 of the calls I picked up I was hung up on and the last call I explained I made the payment Monday. It was never said my payment was incorrect. When I checked my account it said I still owed {$9.00}, which I paid immediately. There is no reason for this many calls.

Consumer Complaint: To who this may concern, On XX/XX/XXXX I open a credit line in Iddeal Credit card to make a purchase of {$7300.00}. I felt the sales lady keep pressuring me to get something I can't afford, they keep telling me to apply for the Iddeal credit card. I was unsured I ask if I can return if he didn't like it, she said sure you can. I got approved sign and left. On XX/XX/XXXX I return to The XXXX XXXX XXXX to return it got a full refund for {$7300.00} then purchase {$1800.00} same day, leaving me to think they will refund {$5200.00} to the Iddeal account. I did a dispute to Iddeal in the beginning of XX/XX/XXXX but until today XX/XX/XXXX I have not received any answer I been making my monthly payment. I honestly can't afford to pay something I don't have in my possession.

Consumer Complaint: Comenity Bank On or about XXXX of 2022 I found on my credit a charge card from Big Lots Of department store through Comenity Bank. I called and they told me it was opened by my ex-wife. I told them it was not my debt, nor would I pay it. I filled in a police report and an affidavit with FTC. I have opened investigations with the three major credit bureaus as well as XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX, and XXXX. They all Sent letters and refused to take the debt off my report, causing me great harm and loss. I have sent numerous registered mail services to address this issue including copies of my drivers license, copies of the police reports and the affidavits, as well as all other associated documentation. The reason for their refusal to remove the inaccurate credit listing is that the lender verified the debt. I have sent more than one letter of registered mail to the lender with no answer nor the removal of any inaccurate information.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX23 I was alerted by message from Comenity to hat there was suspicious activity on my account of charges for {$.00}. They asked if these were my charges and I replied no. They replied there was nothing further for me to do on my part and they were closing my card and issuing me a new one. I did on that day try to call anyway to make sure all was ok but for several hours the calls just kept disconnecting on every prompt I pushed for a representative. I received the new card and no billing statements so I assumed all was ok and the fraud charges were removed. Today, XXXX23 I received a credit alert that there was a report of a delinquent account..Comenity! For a total of {$45.00}. I logged in online and was able to see the charges. They are broken down as such ; XXXX23 10 separate charges for {$.00} each XXXX23 late fee of {$9.00} XXXX23 interest of {$2.00} XXXX-23 late fee of {$21.00} XXXX-23 interest of {$2.00} I tried again today for over 2 hours to contact them and the same thing! Disconnected over and over! I sent an email and attached the message alert with confirmation from XXXX-23. I also sent a written letter out today and disputed the charges with full explanation, in writing. While looking up the address I saw where I had 60 days from the date the charge was made to dispute but I did verify on that exact date that it was fraud and was told I didnt need to take any further action. Although I did try but was unsuccessful in calling. I was unaware the charges still existed until today when I received the credit alert. I also saw in that same literature where Comenity can not report you delinquent to credit agencies if there is a charge in dispute. They had proof from XXXX-23 that the charge wasnt valid because it was confirmed when they closed the card and sent me a new one. They should have never reported me delinquent to credit agencies. Important **** the card number listed is the old card number. The new one ends in XXXX but I dont know the full number because I have not activated the new card and put it away. The number that will be listed in the card number section will be The old card number.
