Consumer Complaint: The Children 's Place Credit card and Comenity Bank is violating my rights ( 15 usc 6802 a, b ) by checking my credit report on several occasions and decreasing my credit limit which cause late payments and interest fees on my account. They never sent out any adverse action letters to me to explain why they decreased my credit. They are currently reporting me as late to the credit bureau trying to make a hard inquiry on my credit report for an increase. I do not have access to my transaction history of my whole account and when I called to request the detailed history and my credit card number and the customer service rep XXXX # XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX told me I had to request it in writing. Why would I need to send a letter for my whole transaction history when I verified who I was and spoke with them regarding my account just to tell me I have to write a letter. They are refusing to give my credit card number over the phone to submit complaint. They didn't write a letter to me when they checked my credit several times without my knowledge. They refused to send me a new expedited card in mail after reporting it stolen. Also the dates the credit was decreased does not reflect the dates they removed the credit from me on my statements. They are defrauding people decreasing credit just to do a hard inquiry to give the credit back when they ask for an increase. I would not have to get another hard inquiry for an increase if they never took it away in the first place.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX has continued to send me documentation that does not validate my contract. On XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX sued me for an alleged debt they are claiming i owe, previously I have contested all facts, asking to verify my writing signature on said contract, or one between myself and XXXX XXXX XXXX, they have never produced anything. I have sent this company letters to please provide proof, they have never done this, they have ignored all my efforts to settle this matter, as they can not show my contract to collect this alleged debt. I have sent cease and desist letters to stop all communication, however they are only sending more. I have received packages in my mailbox, for the same unverified information, they have never provided. I have been a victim of intense harassment, as well as intimidation. This needs to stop at once. I have contacted the AG office to make a complaint as well, this Junk buyer has wrecked havoc on my family for 2 years filing lawsuit, and claims that have never been proven.. yet they are still trying to send me collection paperwork, as well as suing for a debt they have absolutely nothing to do with.. I will be following up with bar grievances, on this attorney who has absolutely XXXX knowledge or claim to allege debt. I have all copies of correspondence I have sent this company, asking to provide my written consent and contract, which they have never done, they turn around and sue me. This company know that Im working under XXXX as well, as all efforts to resolve should be done in arbitration.. yet they are continuing to collect and harass by mailing. This needs to stop at once

Consumer Complaint: I had a debt with comenity Bank due to my XXXX XXXX XXXX being sent to collections in the amount of XXXX. The debt was transferred to a debt collector by the name of XXXX XXXX On XX/XX/XXXX, I made a settlement payment in the amount of {$1300.00}. Was told that this will reflect on my credit report and they will notify comenity as well. I checked and noticed this was not updated as said. I disputed said account with XXXX. However, comenity did not reflect the status to show that the debt was settled. However, reflects that the amount is charged off at XXXX and written off. XXXX refuses to redispute. I'm simply asking for my account to reflect accuracy of payment. If they continue to report as if I never made a payment or tried to resolve, why would I have even bother to do so? Is extremely frustrating so I'm asking for your help in this matter.

Consumer Complaint: I had an account with comity bank / torrid. They gave the account to a collection agency. I then paid the account in full. They sent me a letter with proof it was paid. They notified Torrid. Torrid continues to report it as a charge off. At this point after so many disputes and they continue to report false info I believe this should be totally removed from my credit report because of the problems being raised.

The points were deducted however the account credit has not been applied. I have called commentary bank at least 5 times and put in a dispute. I have been given the run around amd a different answer every time ranging from it takes 60 days to you will see it on your next billing cycle which Im now in. I would like my account credit as earned In previous times when I redeemed points it showed up in 24 hours

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I filed a purchase dispute with a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Credit Card by Comenity Bank for the amount of XXXX. The item that was shipped to me was left out in the rain ( its a major electronic ) and had such water damage that the packaging was no longer viable to return. This damage was confirmed via photo from me as well as being marked as delivered damaged by the carrier. XXXX XXXX XXXX refused to take a return on the damaged item unless I purchased a second XXXX electronic so I could swap the damaged packaging for new packaging. So I contacted Comenity Bank about this and provided photos of the damaged item, confirmation of the damage from the carrier, as well as the chat thread where XXXX XXXX XXXX refused to allow a return without me purchasing a second XXXX item. Comenity initially responded on XXXX to my submitted paperwork by stating that I would not be held responsible for the disputed amount while they investigated. On XXXX I followed up with Comenity for an update on the dispute because I was still showing the disputed amount on my account with a payment due. I also had an autopay set up so wanted clarification on if I needed to stop autopay on the disputed charge. On XX/XX/XXXX Comenity responded with a canned message that did not address my question at all so I asked again about the autopay and being held responsible for a disputed charge. On XX/XX/XXXX Comenity responded again with another canned messaged that did not answer the question of being responsible for a disputed charge so I asked a second time .... On XX/XX/XXXX Comenity finally answered that I could cancel my autopay however I was still responsible for minimum payment on the disputed charge. I responded that I would have no payment due if not for the disputed amount and questioned if holding me responsible for a disputed charge was correct. On XX/XX/XXXX Comenity doubled down and said I did need to make a payment on the disputed charge and I was liable On XX/XX/XXXX I contacted Comenity again because the disputed charge was still on my account and I had not heard anything at all about the dispute. At this point I had also looked up rules around disputes and the FCRA and realized that my rights had been violated by Comenity multiple times at this point. On XX/XX/XXXX I got a response from Comenity saying my dispute had been closed on XX/XX/XXXX and I would have to now submit a second dispute if I wanted to have any further action taken. I was floored, I literally provided proof of receiving a faulty/damaged item that was confirmed by the shipper. I also had proof that the vendor was not following their own policy or acting in good faith to accept a return without forcing another sale. But now I have had the credit card violate my right under the FCRA in multiple ways. Comenty did not even attempt to investigate this dispute, they held me responsible for disputed charges, and failed to communicate me with about this process at all.
