Consumer Complaint: Received a phone call from comenity bank about a XXXX XXXX XXXX card. Ive never shopped at XXXX XXXX XXXX in my life. Ive recently moved to Kentucky and barely know what this place is. I am told a mechanic service was provided for a car. I only take my vehicle to the dealership. Im not even sure what work was done and no information was provided to me. The initial rep I spoke to was very degrading and nasty to speak too. The rep made me feel like a criminal. Fraud alert has been placed on my credit due to this transaction. I asked if any steps needed to be take on my end and was told no. I then received a letter in the mail with no information, contract, anything. Just denied. I doubt this bank did anything to investigate and refuse to show what information they gained from the investigation. This is not my account and I was not there. I even spoke to the manager that couldnt show I was there either.

When I opened my credit report, I discovered there was a credit card not opened by me, that had about a {$750.00} unpaid, overdue balance. I never opened this card and reached out to the company. They had a hard time finding my account and after multiple tries, they were able to find my account using my maiden name, which I have not used in over 6 years.

Consumer Complaint: I registered in the XXXX store for a credit card to make a purchase. I just moved and told the sales rep my drivers license had the old address. I had mail to prove my new address and told them to setup the account to the new address. The store rep still setup the account to the old address. As a result my statement came late. I called to resolve the problem. Corrected the address on file, paid the purchase amount in full, and asked to have the late fees and interest refunded. The services rep did all that, yet the next month i still had a balance due to late fees and interest. called again to have it refunded, the rep agreed to process refund on late fees and interest. Next month, more late fees and interest. This continued XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX billing cycles. I'm am told now that the remaining late fee can only be refunded by Collections. I called the number provided by the rep ( XXXX ) XXXX. This is answered by an automated message that tries to sell you XXXX XXXX XXXX system, then hangs up on you. two separate agents gave the same number. I eventually talked to collections 2 time by being transferred. Each time i was disconnected after going throught supervisor escalations. I finally got the Customer agent to refund last late fee, but i paid {$4.00} in interest. Just gave up working with Comenity
