Consumer Complaint: I closed my credit card account on XX/XX/XXXX. In this card, i had XXXX $ of cash rewards. Today i checked my cash rewards balance to claim that money and i've seen that the money expired on XX/XX/XXXX with a note " ADVERSE CONDITION EXPIRATION '' I called the bank and they said there's nothing i can do about it because it expires in 3 months after i close the account. I told them i did not know it and not warned before and they said it was written on the web page that i closed the account. I did not see that warning and probably it was something hard to see. Also, i did not get any email that warned me about my rewards that are about to expire. It was a money i earned and they basically stole it like this. I've read many legal cases and i'm pretty sure judge will be on my side as this kind of a forfeiture should be with explicit consent and making customer select a button or checkbox with a clear warning and follow up reminders. Because it's a bold action to grab a customer 's XXXX dollars worth of money just like this. I'd like to ask for your help to correct this unfair situation that i'm victimized.

I tried to talk to them, they said you will receive an answer by mail which I didnt receive anymore, again I called them finally they said this is XXXX department decision!!! I asked them why only for request to increase??? Again no answer

Consumer Complaint: I along with others Suffered drastically during the pandemic of XXXX not only did I get sent from here to there to talk to this person, and that person being told to wait on the phone for hours and hours just to be hung up on from Bank of America prepaid claims , and have my account frozen for no reason along with funds, but they were also stolen from me due to fraud. I expressed my my frustration in a calm, reasonable way hoping I get to a silver lining, but that never happened. I wish I knew about the ongoing lawsuits against them because I would have joined in on them. This is three years ago. I had made these claims out of three claims that were put together by Bank of America claims representative apparently only two out of three were approved, but not the third. Why I dont know why. So I requested that the third one which would be in the amount of {$10000.00} be reconsidered, because it didnt seem right that that one would be declined or denied, and the others approved when they all had the same tracing fraud in the same fashion. I was never given any provisional credit any help whatsoever. I call every day for the past three years to be put on hold, and theres been no work or any type of settlements on my claim. Bank of America claim that the reason why they didnt work on her for the first year and a half or two years was because it was frozen, which is not true because there was deposits made into the account from the other two claims so that is a lie. Let me remind you again. This is three years later after the pandemic and my funda have still not been paid. Ive literally been suffering drowning in even more debt that that money could have or should have helped me with but not only was it stolen in the beginning its being held now by BofA still with no regard or decisions being made. Im struggling so much guys. I feel like Im being taken advantage of. The only account activity that has been made and barley made is for 6 dollars interest funds for funds that have not been paid. And that was paid XX/XX/2023. Ive had enough I dont know who else to go to or speak to because all BofA prepaid says to me is sorry they have no communication to the back office that handles the claims but they do acknowledge the fact thats its taking a long time and they will submit complaints but nothing still gets done. Please I know there is something that can be done. I mean Im freaking homeless pretty much if Im not lucky enough to keep my head afloat from debt and court and lawyer fines I have a little girl here who has to Stay with my parents because I dont have a place for her. I work everyday and the spend 2 hours on top of that with bofa hoping to get to a solution but it doesnt happen.

Consumer Complaint: On Friday, XX/XX/XXXX I went to log into my Bank of America account on my mobile banking app. I wasn't able to log in or change my password. I called the XXXX and spoke with a Customer Service Agent and she informed me that my account was closed for business reasons! I was livid. They never called me to notify me nor did they send me an email. On Saturday, XX/XX/XXXX I called the XXXX number and the Customer Service Agent told me that my account was restricted! I then called the local bank in XXXX GA and the person I spoke to was know help at all. I am going to the bank on XX/XX/XXXX to resolve the situation and see why they closed or put my account on restriction. My account is in good standing and I can't imagine why they are closing or restricting my account. I have a direct deposit for {$2200.00} being deposited into my checking account and I am going to try to withdraw the money as I need to pay rent and bills.

Consumer Complaint: My problem is with Bank of America. I have filed a complaint with them, and my claim number is XXXX. I have complained to OCC and my claim number with them is : XXXX. I filed a complaint with my local police department, XXXX XXXX in XXXX, to XXXX XXXX. The file number with the police XXXX is XXXX. The address of the XXXX is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, New York XXXX XXXX The detective'snumber is XXXX. My complaint is that my credit card was charged {$2000.00} and {$500.00} respectively on XX/XX/XXXX and I noticed the charges on XX/XX/XXXX. The bank has not sent the new card. They sent a replacement cardthat now expires XXXX. This is the second time that I have had a serious problem with Bank of America. A few months ago, one of my checks was laundered and cashed in Bank of America. The check was for over {$6000.00}. It was very hard to get closure. My other bank, on which the check was drawn, made things right. Please look into this bank 's practices. Please help me.

Consumer Complaint: A few months ago Bank of America disabled my online banking. I called to ask why they answered it was necessary from time to time to verify accounts at the branch. I went and verified the accounts by my presence. A few days later I made a payment from my Bank of America checking the the payment was returned. I opened my online banking and saw that all my accounts including checking account were closed. I tried to read some forums to get to know what could be the reason and nothing applied to me. I then called Bank of America to find out the reason and was advised no reason was available over the phone, only to be sent by mail. I waited for a few weeks but never received anything. Tried to call Bank of America but still same response : would receive the letter in the mail. Still nothing up until this day. Went to one of the branches to find out why and was told that Bank of America was closing credit card and checking accounts for the customer having the XXXX, XXXX last name, which belongs to either mostly XXXX or XXXX. It is a sheer act of discrimination and bank of America can not continue doing business in this manner.

Consumer Complaint: on XXXX XXXX i dedided to check my bank of america statements because i remiceived an email saying i couldnt be approved for a savings account, i never tried opening a savings account with bank of america i had only a checking account so that led me to check other things on my account i immediately contacted bank of america and ask if they could tell me whats going on to which the first person i spoke with told me it was due to an error and they placed me on hold for about 10 minutes just to hang up in my face so all the while i gave it about 20 minutes and as im waiting to call them back i see some unauthorized transactions on my account starting from XXXX it was a charge for XXXX in the amont of {$400.00} and some change folllowed by a charge of {$110.00} and some change i do not have the exact amounts because they closed my account without me knowing so i call bank of america back and explain to them what happened and i disputed the 2 charges i mentioned previous and some unauthorized charges with XXXX XXXX i also disputed 2 XXXX XXXX transactions which totaled the amount of {$110.00} i did not authorize apple to take those funds out of my account now this particular account with bank of america i hadnt actually used since XXXX and so when i talked to the lady she took all my disputes and helped me out she also sent me out a ne debit card now this whole tiime i had been able to sign in and use mobile banking everything was fine now on XX/XX/XXXX i tried logging into my mobie account because i had received a notification on my phone from the bofa app telling me my new debit card was sent out on XXXX so when i tried loggig in it said no username could be found so i immediately called bofa and which to my suprise the first person i talked to said well you need to talk to recovery so he gives me the number and hangs up on me after telling me he was going to transfer me .so i callled the recovery numer to which they told me i needed to speak with claims and when i got on the phone with claims they told me no i needed to speak with recovery and that they were going to put in a complaint for sending me to the wrong deppartment now alll of this has been going on throughout the whole day and i still was not made aware of my account being closed so by this time recovery is closed for the day i try again on XX/XX/XXXX the first person i spoke with again gave me the wrong info when i explained what was going on she tried to verify my identiy/account well she could and she bascally tells me i needed to reset my password well that was all wrong the next represenative i spoke with said they were making a complaint for me once again for them giving me wrong info so now im on hold and the recovery lady tells me my account is closed due to it being in the negative for a certain amount of days she also told me if i wanted to check the status of my disputed claims i needed to wait 60 days i asked her how come i wasnt made aware of this before or when i first called on XX/XX/XXXX i explained to her that i hadnt used the account since XXXX and i had to change my email address an phone number because i suspected fraud and she couldnt help with anything else so i got no answer if i was going to be refunded on the unauthorized claims and im still confused as to why all of a sudden my account was closed they closed it before they sent me out a new card but failed to mention it to me i havent received any letters or documentation about the accunt being closed or about someone trying to open up another account in my name and about the unauthorized transactions.

Consumer Complaint: Bank of America still has not responded to my plight, all required time has been given to release my funds. While my account has had multiple close and freeze dates Bank of America has violated my consumer rights. Freezing and locking and closing my account for 3 months now not allowing me to withdraw anything. Yet BOA still pay and except fees from the account. Thus this act trumps any fraud activity. Same process operations for recent lawsuit against B.O.A. Taking money from consumers at will still no policy changes so still same illegal, unethical maneuvers stemming from an outdated unscrupulous fraud department. I request compensation asap I have suffered hardship unimaginable.
