For some reason, I realized that there was a late payment on my credit report, I called BK OF AMER and they said their system mistakenly put me on paperless billing, which I did not request, and it caused my XXXX day late. As you can see, I have always had a stellar payment record. I tried contacting XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and BK OF AMER with no successful resolution. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, Bank of America allowed an unauthorized bill pay credit card payment withdrawal from my checking account in the amount of {$960.00}. I detected the withdrawal immediately the next morning and contacted the Bank of America " fraud department '' at exactly XXXX XXXX when the bank opened on XX/XX/XXXX. I made a total of XXXX phone calls between XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. I was transferred and passed between various Bank of America offices in New Mexico, North Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and Texas. Those teams included fraud teams for credit cards, deposit accounts, debit transactions, bill pay, digital fraud, etc. Not a single one of those teams could open a fraud dispute. One agent told me she opened a dispute, but didn't. There was no record when I tried to verify the dispute. I was passed back and forth between the same two teams multiple times. It was a nightmarish bureaucratic exercise in futility as no " fraud '' team would take responsibility or had the authority to open a dispute until at XXXX PM after talking to XXXX different fraud agents for nearly XXXX hours, one agent found a way to open a dispute. Although a dispute may have been opened, I have to formal response from the bank and the {$960.00} has not been returned to my account.

Consumer Complaint: -I was approved for a XXXX XXXXXXXX Bank of America Visa Card on XXXX -My intent was to use this card to pay for an upcoming cruise ( balance due early XXXX ) to get the cruise points -My card was to be received in 7-10 business days, therefore after about 2 weeks, I called Bank of America to see the status of the card. The agent stated that the card was shipped, therefore, since I never received it, the agent stated she will expedite me a new card ( new card # ), which I than received about 2-3 days later. -When I went to use the card in early XXXX to pay the cruise balance, I kept getting a declined message. I was confused as to why the card was being declined, as in my mind, this is a new card, and should not have any balance. Around the same time, I was getting a fraudulent charge message from Bank of America. -When I spoke to the fraud agent, it was stated that I had a balance of XXXX dollars on the card, and there appears to be fraudulent activity. I immediately told them to close the account and launch an investigation. -We just received notification that the dispute was denied since the card was used, chip reader was used, pin was used, and the thief signed receipts. Here are my disputes : 1 ) The fraudulent charges were 6 consecutive days of purchases at XXXX XXXX across NY ( XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX ). I'm not a construction worker, contractor etc., why would I be going to 6 different XXXX XXXX on 6 consecutive days across NY? I live 5 minutes away from a XXXX XXXX, none of the ones mentioned! The charges were so obviously trying to fly under the radar, with the min being XXXX and max being XXXX. 2 ) Clearly, the thief intercepted and used the original card that I never received, which would have made it easy to activate, create a PIN etc., so Bank of America 's reason for denying the claim is complete bull. Additionally, if the charges were made prior to me calling for the new card, wouldn't the agent have mentioned that when I let her know I never received the original card? Conversely, if the charges were made AFTER the new card was issued, Bank of America agent was either in on it and is a thief, or really messed up because as soon as I called and stated that card was never received that account should have been CLOSED. 3 ) I have another Bank of America credit account open since XXXX, 19 YEARS! Never one credit dispute! Why all of sudden would I go all criminal and try to scam XXXX dollars? 4 ) This is a XXXX XXXX Bank of America Visa card, I have a cruise booked, there is record of me trying to pay using the full XXXX balance of this card to pay XXXX XXXX. In conclusion, Bank of America 's XXXX XXXX investigation was XXXX, and I will fight it till the day I die, so LET 'S GO. If I have to open a criminal investigation on all Bank of America agents that I have dealt with regarding the matter, we can go that route too. To be a customer for 19 years, and to have to put in so much effort into something that was clearly fraudulent, and is ridiculous to me. This deposit was done at a teller window and the teller gave us a receipt for the same. When the bank processed this deposit of 26 checks I received a listing within my account activity of a chargeback of 25 of these 26 checks charging back as a debit of {$21000.00}. On XX/XX/2023, we went to the bank and the manager who had handled this deposit said that they had misplaced 25 of the checks. Then the manager looked and stated that she had found these missing 25 checks and that they would provide a credit for the error amount of this {$21000.00}. Consumer Complaint: I am the victim of a financial scam that resulted in my losing most of my life savings ( 401K, legitimate investments ( stocks, mutual funds ), savings and checking accounts ). I employed the services of a company that helps victims of financial scams. Below is the wording of the CFPB complaint, as per their legal counsel. -- - Our client was solicited by a merchant, XXXX XXXX XXXX, operating under the web address XXXX to wire funds to a false and fictitious trading account. The merchant is part of a global network of cybercrime known as the binary option and falsified trading scam. Our Client has accessed the Internet-based platform of the Merchant available under XXXX. To the best of our knowledge, the Merchant did not provide a contract ; however, the terms and conditions contained on the site are intended to govern the relationship and responsibilities of the parties. Therefore, all information on the web-site is relevant for determination of the services and the rights and obligations of the parties. The Merchant claimed to be a financial services provider dealing with regulated financial products, such as CFDs, indices, binary options, commodities etc. In addition, the officers and employees of the Merchant are also presented as experienced brokers ( a designation that requires licensing ). Evidently, it is advertising and promoting itself as a provider of financial services and is trying to influence third parties decisions to undertake financial commitments and to invest in the offered financial products based upon the information provided by the Merchant on its website. All such activities require the Merchant to possess the required licensing. The website of the Merchant contains clear statements that its team consists of professional brokers. Persons claiming to be such licensed brokers apparently contacted third parties and communicated with them the possibility of making an investment, which is strictly prohibited by the law if there is a lack of the respective license. Only a licensed broker can contact persons with the intention to assist them regarding where and how to invest their money. In order to be able to act as an investment intermediary, or broker, or similar i.e. in order to have the capacity to offer financial advice and to provide access to regulated financial products to third parties one has to be registered with the relevant supervisory authorities. It is the common rule that financial products such as CFDs, indices, binary options, stocks and commodities exists, are regulated, not only in the XXXX, in which the Merchant claims to be located, but also in most of the rest of the world, including in the United States ( where our client resides and where your money services business is registered ). Our research conducted from sources available in public registries has shown, however, that the Merchant is NOT licensed to offer regulated financial products nor to provide financial advice to third parties such as our client. Furthermore, our investigation in the case has shown also that there are warnings from Government Regulatory Authorities for operating and providing financial services without having the proper required licensing. The Merchant claimed to have the ability to trade regulated financial products. In reality, the merchant provides fictitious and malicious software which does not execute any trades and is not connected to any recognized exchanges. It is manipulated by the merchant to exhibit its own desired figures. The merchant has left a trail of victims who have fallen for a sophisticated and well-crafted scam and that have lost their entire life savings.
