Consumer Complaint: Bank of America 's refuses to credit cardholder {$2300.00} for a fraudulent transaction based on prior history the merchant submitted to BoA, and not on any documentation which proves the cardholder originated and approved the fraudulent online transaction being disputed. The cardholder does not deny having a prior history with the merchant since the cardholder was leasing an apartment from the merchant. Prior relationship with the merchant does not constitute proof that the cardholder originated or authorized the fraudulent online transaction payment of {$2300.00} to XXXX XXXX, and is the reason why the cardholder filed a fraud complaint to begin with. BoA 's automated fraud filter decided to unilaterally close the cardholders claim without allowing the cardholder the opportunity to respond in a timely manner, thus denying the cardholder 's due process rights to receive a fair dispute resolution process. The cardholder was then forced to pay the {$2300.00} charge plus {$220.00} interest charges in order to avoid his excellent credit rating from being damaged.

Consumer Complaint: This account was opened online without my permission as a result it was also closed within 60 days of opening by Bank of America. They also reported this fraudulently on my consumers reporting act, and on my credit score I have now become a bankable with normal banks because of this. Theyve made no attempt to correct this once Ive contacted them. During this time, several checks were attempting to be cashed or deposited into this account by the individual or individuals that open this account at via online access. This was not an account opened in person at a branch. This was done strictly online, using my information which was obtained fraudulently. All transactions were also done via the ATM or through mobile banking. Bank of America has had a long history of causing issues for its customers and creating acts of fraud for their own interests. This may be a case of that here, or of an individual simply opening account in my name, and using it to their own means, and will either case I do not care. I simply want this corrected as I am a victim here and not the perpetrator.

XXXX code in XXXX was on a way way less type amount XXXX which is at federal court where i sued these participants. At federal reserve bank even the documents that they receive of Escrow Account may not been an Escrow account. I was told I had to send money through money gram an XXXX XXXX to XXXX to different receivers some in XXXX I even won back {$14.00}, XXXX from these transactions which United states vs XXXX XXXX i got back this year XXXX. At bank of America the Bank Representative drew red flag 1 2 an alligator and swamp water upon this close account but was open during the input of wire, the consumer protection went out to investigate why the bank got the XXXX in recieve mode but not the documents of money but it show green of the wire. The bank representative also had me call back also all our calls should be redeemable from XXXX to after even that year not many calls. Even the agent who had documents and deprived me of actual money they commit fraud which other Crime happen to where the person was in XXXX XXXX bank where he Destroyed Important Papers the year XXXX and this was on world news and he was there not under is Goverment name he was under another id.So he went on planes to XXXX without his real id of usa federal prosecutor.

Consumer Complaint: I have been a customer of Bank of America since XXXX. I had over {$21000.00} worth of charges on two different cards. On XX/XX/XXXX I called the bank to pay off the balance which was about {$3100.00}. The agent I spoke to told me this would make my balance {$0.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX I saw a {$30.00} balance posted to my account. I call the bank and spoke to an agent that told me this was the balance of the interest. I told this agent that if there was additional interest the 1st agent should have told me that so I could have paid it. I was very upset but polite. The 2nd agent told me she would escalate the ticket to see if the interest charge could be waived. Two days later I called back and the agent told me the waive had been denied. I ask her what the was the reason the request was denied and she couldn't give me an answer. Being a customer who always paid on time and customer sinceXXXX, I couldn't understand why they would denied such a small amount. Especially since the 1st agent told me there would be a zero balance and didn't mention anything about additional interest charges

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 Bank of America opened a new account in my name without my knowledge or permission. I went on my mobile app on Sunday XX/XX/2023 and noticed a pop up message saying that my new account is now open and they are mailing my card to an old address that bank of America had on file 10 years ago. I was horrified seeing this new account along side the account I pay my rent from. I'm a single parent dealing with a domestic violence situation. So it shocked my to my core! I did not sleep thinking how is this happening. I called as soon as the sun came up. They were not apologetic my rather carelessly saying that it's the internet. I said how when you need to provide so many key credit details to open an account. They ignored the question and said that they would just close the account. They gave no confirmation number even though I asked for it repeatedly. They then sent me and email saying steps to take since this has happened as if I was requesting info because I needed it. Even that email made it seem like they were being deceptive. I asked that my bank cards be replaced they said there is no need. I went in to the branch the next day to request them in person. I'm overwhelmed with the amount of things that I now have to change because I feel so violated. Then I went home and saw this on the news and knew that I was a part of the whole scamming of their loyal customers. It's really hurtful. At one point during the pandemic they were charging so many XXXX $ over drafts I called crying begging them to stop. I have two little boys to feed, really makes my stomach hurt to know how hard we work and they don't value us.
