Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XX/XX/2023 I attempted to make a domestic transfer to my account at another bank XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX ). The size of the transaction required the use of a XXXX XXXX, which I posses and used. For some reason - not yet established - the final step after using the code of the XXXX crashed at " processing '' stage. I reached out to customer service by telephone and on XXXX multiple times since then, explaining the funds were required by XXXX XXXX. Multiple interactions have failed to have me connected with a technical person who could possibly determine the problem- I am always fobbed off with 'I am raising a ticket, someone will contact you within 5 business days '. To date, nobody has, and I am losing the use of my own funds. Is Bank of America unable to pay back deposits at present? I even bought a new XXXX and tried different computers, but nothing works, and the Bank shows no interest in speedily solving this problem. XXXX my phone is a cellphone in XXXX. The account is in the name of an LLC which I control.

Consumer Complaint: Last night ( XX/XX/2023 ) I received an email from Bank of America notifying me what I was denied for opening a " Bank of America Advantage SafeBalance Banking '' account online. This will be the 3rd time in a year that someone has attempted to get a loan or open an account with Bank of America using my information fraudulently. I spent over an hour on the phone last time, ( most of which was on hold ) talking to their fraud department and verifying that I did not open or attempt to open an account. I have never, and will never have or open an account with Bank of America. This morning I also received a 2nd email apologising that I couldn't open an account online, but instructions on how to open one at a local branch.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I deposited a check from the covid rental assistance. There was a number clearly stating on the front of the check to call to verify the check. They put a hold on the check and told me that they wanted to make sure the check wasn't a fake and to see if it would go threw. Another bank of america employee said that government checks put stop payments on the check. They wouldn't release part of it or call the number on the check to verify it. Completely diminished my character moral by insinuating the check was fake or wouldn't go threw with out even verifying it by phone. It's now the XXXX XXXX and I haven't received a email, call, or text explaining why they continue to have a hold but let me know they will send the check back when it expires in 60 days if it doesn't clear

Consumer Complaint: Bank of America closed my account without warning one year ago approx. Without warning or reason, I dis not have access to my money. When I called them, they told me they could not tell me a reason but that I would receive a cashiers check with the balance. It took around 20 days to get this check with my money. It was awful. I was in the middle of building my house ( during covid ), everything was more expensive suddenly, my father was XXXX with stage XXXX XXXX XXXX and I had to take over his responsibilites which included his medical payments, and I had to borrow money from my father in law to help through all this additional hardship. I had the BofA account since I was a child, my mother had opened it for me and I never had a problem. There were additional deposits and withdrawals, but these are normal if you are building a house and paying for medical expenses. I feel closing my account was unjustified and plain malicious. It complicated my families situation even more, when my bank should have asked me or tried to find out the hardship that was maybe causing what caught their attention.

Consumer Complaint: In the beginning of XX/XX/2023 I called the bank to submit a fraud claim. The claim was not filed when I called the first time, but actually filed a couple weeks later when I called again about a month or so later I finally got my temporary credit and then I got something in the mail, saying my claim was approved. Then I received something in the mail, saying they denied my claim that was already closed and they were going to take that credit away again. When I didnt have enough funds in my bank account, I called and the lady promised me it would not happen and they would not take the money out and then the next week they did so my bank account was - {$200.00}. I called Bank of America again and they told me that I had to file a police report to show that I actually got my identity stolen and the fraud was real. They would not refund me my money so I put my own money in to make my account go back to XXXX dollars then they told me they dont know when they would be able to approve my claim and give me my money back about a couple weeks later they finally did give me the original XXXX that they took out but they still have not given me the XXXX that I had to put back into the bank to get my bank account back to XXXX from XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 money from my checking account was withdrawn without notification from me, and leaving me a XXXX balance. After attempting to make routine purchases I contacted and visited the bank the following day XX/XX/2023. The bank confirm that my money was withdrawn, but did not or could not say by who or why? They assured me the problem would be resolved, and after that visit I received in the mail a letter from Bank Of America stating : " We debited your account a partial amount of {$14000.00} from a transaction that was credited my mistake -- here 's what you need to know. On XX/XX/2023 we were notified that your account was credited by mistake. To fix it, we debited your account -- you'll see the adjustment on your monthly statement. '' But that was three weeks past. On XX/XX/2023 I returned to the bank and spoke with a bank representative -- the original person with whom I spoke with during my initial visit ( XXXX XXXX ), who made several phone calls to no avail. She then advised me that she would get me a solution to my problem, and I left. I have called and visited the bank, but the bank have not resolved my problem. I still do not have my money returned!
