Consumer Complaint: On Monday, XX/XX/2023, I arrived at BOAfor my XXXXXXXX XXXX appointment, which I was more than half an hour early because I had mistakenly assumed that my appointment was at XXXX XXXX Upon arriving, I was greeted by a banker and I told her that I had a XXXX appointment Sometime after, the banker invited me and took my information. However, in the process, another banker stepped in to ask my name, which I told her and she informed me that my appointment was for XXXX and not XXXX I immediately retrieved all of my information from the banker, went back into the lobby to wait for my XXXX appointment Shortly after, the banker approached me the second time but this time she asked what was the purpose of my visit, which I told her : To open my business account then she asked to see my information, which I gave her : Updated XXXX XXXX & Tax ID #, which she took with her to the back somewhere? Sometime after, she returned to tell me I could not open a nonprofit account because I needed proof of additional paperwork. However, she said : If you were able to change the status in XXXX from nonprofit to for-profit, she would then open the account Furthermore, she said there was no need for me to stay for my XXXX appointment ..., to go make the changes on XXXX, from nonprofit to for-profit, and come she personally ... and handed me her business card However, I felt very uncomfortable and sensed something was very strange so I decided to call my son to share my experience. I also ask him if there was any way for me to make changes on XXXX to which he said no! I felt that I was discriminated against and so I decided to make a complaint to the back but they refused to deal with the matter correctly. Thank you XXXX XXXX

Issue: Opening an account
Subissue: Account opened as a result of fraud
Consumer Complaint: At least one Bank of America savings account was opened using my personal information, without my consent. I am not a Bank of America customer, however, in XXXX, my parents, who live nearly XXXX miles from me in another state, received a piece of mail addressed to me from Bank of America. I went into a local branch in XXXX XXXX, Florida when I was made aware of this. While at the local branch, I spoke with a branch manager and closed the account. I filed a fraud claim at that time. However, over the past few months since then, my parents continued to receive mail from Bank of America, including a debit card linked to the account I had closed and reported for fraud. Once again, I called Bank of America to report fraud. Most recently, my parents received another piece of mail from Bank of America on XX/XX/XXXX. When they informed me of this, I immediately went into a local branch to discuss my serious concerns once again with the branch manager. They confirmed that someone attempted to open an account at least three additional times using my information, despite me informing them that no one should be able to open an account with my name or social security number. They allowed funds to be deposited into this fraudulent account and withdrew funds from the account that I was liable for paying ( a monthly maintenance fee ), despite not having opened the account in the first place. This has caused me hours of unnecessary pain and suffering, as I have spent hours in person, on the internet and on the phone dealing with fraudulent activity related to Bank of America. I have since opened an XXXX XXXX account to prevent future cases of fraud related to this. I would like to be compensated for the time, money and energy invested to dealing with this.

Consumer Complaint: Good afternoon, and I believe I was charged excessive late payment fees and denied cash back rewards. Also, my card has been inactive for about 2 years now and I am still paying a excessively high interest rate while paying off the balance. My payment history has been good overall with just a few incidents.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I made a purchase using my Bank of America card for {$83.00} on XXXX for what the seller advertised as " XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ''. The listing photos were poor quality and concealed key details that would have revealed the item is not the " XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX '' vintage edition. In fact, using a quick XXXX search, I can see that the item I was sent can be purchased in dozens of places for as little as {$15.00}. When the item arrived and I saw that it was not as advertised, I requested a return. The seller denied my request for a return. I tried to get XXXX customer service involved, but the automated system automatically denied my return request as soon as I submitted it. I then disputed the charge with Bank of America. XXXX told Bank of America that the return request was approved but I never sent the item back to the seller. This is a lie the seller did not allow me to return the item! Bank of America then denied my claim/dispute. I called Bank of America customer service and have been on hold for over half an hour I can't get through to customer service to get help. I was scammed.
