Consumer Complaint: When doing services online with Bank of America credit card they do not allow the credit card holder to remove outside account such as another bank account for payment purposes. I have XXXX balance on my card and I wished to remove my bank account and I could not from my application or even just going on line to the account. So I removed digital service. That should be illegal for them to hold an outside account held hostage, I should have the ability to remove it and I do not.

Consumer Complaint: In mid-XXXX, I was temporarily living in XXXX ( Ive been back in the XXXX since late XXXX ). Apparently because I was living temporarily in XXXX, Bank of America chose to shut down my Merrill XXXX brokerage account as well as all of my Bank of America credit cards, including some that had unredeemed rewards. They would not confirm for me that this was the reason they closed all of my accounts, but I read similar stories from others in expat situations and even business travelers using their accounts while outside the U.S. Anyway, Id really like to have the credit card rewards, such as cash back, that Id earned and that I was never given an opportunity to retrieve/redeem. Id also like the ability to have Bank of America accounts again, especially as my temporary time in XXXX ended in XXXX. Ideally, Id like to have those same accounts re-opened that I used to have. Can you help with something like this?

Consumer Complaint: Yes I had been a customer with Bank of America for about 13 years XXXX could be a little longer or you're shorter either way I was getting XXXX for my children but every time you turn around Bank of America seem to have fees dad you have no idea about charging you for things that you don't know then when you dispute it and then they write you off like you don't even exist like money being taken out of my account I was being charged for so much stuff and for Years everybody has always said do not thank the Bank of America they will rob you and so I just up and stop XXXX them because they were just taking money from my account and charging me for things that I didn't even know names of stuff you know XXXX just because me they had so much stuff going on and when you tried to dispute these charges it ain't going to get anywhere they always have an answer and I guess they all work together but I took my business elsewhere and had got a prepaid card because every month there was something going on money being taken from my account I'm in a negative I'm being charged for this charge you know and they never could explain why or they have some you never would win either way it go because they have access to the money XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX it got me nowhere because again they hold the ball because they have my funds well I got sick of it and I opened up prepaid account with another prepaid company where I know my children 's money we're not getting taken for no reason and charges that I just don't know why you know time is hard I'm a single mother with XXXXXXXX XXXX children and that money is needed and I can't afford definitely couldn't afford for Bank of America every month to have some kind of be going on charges I'm in the negative for things that I don't even know about and then charges come up it way after the date that you know like if I made a transaction and they come up with something you have no idea but again I curse and could curse to the end of time XXXX XXXX XXXX but they still win they got over I always win because they have our money they're stolen my money taking from my kids put us in the hardship you can't make this stuff up and I'm glad that this stuff is being brought to the table because people like myself and others out here I've been robbed by Bank of America but we're at their mercy and poor people like me XXXX you know on a monthly income XXXX for my children and yet they can't even get their needs met rent pay because Bank of America always got some kind of feet every month my kids money got taken for some reason that they come up with and the only thing I can do is fight cursed yell give me ask to speak to this person that person to direct that whoever in charge corporate again it got me nowhere so I got tired of it and I didn't go like out I just took my business elsewhere give my kids money safe and secure where they can actually see their money not Bank of America benefit take it from poor people like me and my children we're out here struggling me their XXXX not needing people who don't need it just going into our accounts taking money and charging us for things they have no idea and there's nothing we can do about it so hopefully someone address this issue and my line is always open my email is open my numbers XXXX My email is XXXX. I sure hope that victims like myself and others who have taken major losses because Bank of America has nothing better to do but scheme this should have been brought a long time ago we've been trying to get our voices heard finally someone see that it could have been us because if I've been complaining Money 's been missing Miss handle things that I know nothing about because I'm naive to the banking system and the Bank of America calls all the shots my money touches their hands and I just want what's entitled to my children right is right wrong is wrong you know we've taken so many losses because there's nothing we can do and our voices was not hurt no one paid attention no one cared until multiple people so that means myself couldn't have been lying because you forgot 1 million people saying the same thing come on now but it's about time I hope I'm getting the help and compensated for 13 years of mismanagement money theft and all kind of mess rackets Bank of America has going on and has made me and my children suffer major hardships because of taking money from the account and nothing I can do about it trusting the bank but the bank steals from you I took my business elsewhere I didn't say goodbye now nothing because I couldn't afford every month I'm missing money they got to feed in a charge for something that I have no idea they could never fix the situation and if they did they found a way to take it back just as quick as they claim to rectify the situation these are not game these are people lives people 's family and money that Bank of America has taken and it need to be punished don't take for people who don't have nothing and I like to be able to pay my bills for Bank of America has put us in so much hardship you know also apartment you know because you can't pay bills money short my number is always open and yes I will pursue it to the end but I know if conversation is entitled to victims like my family my XXXX children and others out there then it's about time3 we got some help because Bank of America like they said never XXXX with them they're the worst bank ever and I've had first day in experience and I know that my claim and everybody else who has said anything against Bank of America as far as financial and mismanaging accounts and dipping in and taking that is the XXXX honest truth and I will swear on the XXXXXXXX XXXX Court for my truth thank you kindly.

Consumer Complaint: Bank of America denied my request for provisional credit.stating the card will simply be reissued seen on my Cfpb account On XXXX of XXXX, and in my requested my claim packet before this claim was to be reopened based on the class action lawsuit against Bank of America. This judgment clarified provisional credit must be granted and disputes must be reopened for claims made against this prepaid government benefits card. It has been over 90 days, and this dispute still has not been resolved. I have not received any edd payment or provisional credit. On XX/XX/XXXX I called the customer service line at XXXX XXXX processing, and spoke to a customer service representative, who advised me my claim had been escalated to an escalation team and that provisional credit was not required to be granted as I dont think actually happened as Bank of America made a decision within XXXX days of me filing a dispute.and stated I only have {$7.00} on a card I never spent unemployment on and been waiting the last 3 years, There is nothing in the Code of Fedderal regulations that states provisional credit will not be granted if a decision and determination regarding the claim is made within 10 days. Bank of America has exceeded the 90 day time frame as specified in the CFR, denied my request for provisional credit, and did not complete their investigation in a timely manner. I am requesting provisional credit to be credited to my account immediately, and I want Bank of America to provide me a written explanation of their investigation findings, which was conducted in XXXX of XXXX. There is no way that a thorough investigation could be completed xxxx days, given the number of claimants during this time who had disputes against Bank of America for unauthorized purchases and transactions taken out from their XXXX benefits. They tried to tell me I have to confirm my identity after I just got the new card because the original card was hacked or stolen, I wrote the company my phone died talking to escalations they made it very hard to place the claim which I have stated in 3 closed complaints before this one the card finally came in the mail aboutt 80 days ago and I activated it when the other dispute packets came in which I will tag to this dispute, didnt want to activate it online due to not getting it last time and last time somehow it was activated and used its been mail theft and internet theft in my area and Im pretty sure this is what happened, I have the new card and still cant get help, this is due to the bank not wanting to work with me about true matter and stated I never put a claim in but again I was hacked and could verify myself until xxxx in the bank eyes, asked me to verify myself due to not having a card this is pretty crazy I got the card now still attached in the envelope. I will not accept 90 more days as I will like to seek max penalties towards Bank of America for trying to send the investigation packets as if The thiefs never happened asked me to call back in the first few times time ( NOW THEY RE SAYING I GOT MY CARD AND I NEVER DID I HAD TO COMPLAIN HERE TO XXXX GET A CARD AND I NEVER USED IT EVER ) ), they bank has set me a claim resolved paper however they didnt give me closure on anything didnt give me proof that they he card was not data breached and stolen out the mail. I cant go online and get in I didnt set anything up and when I call I get told they dont know why Im explaining and the mail from this dispute states three research goes against mine the lack of respect towards me is crazy, I have been uploading facts with the bank breaking every law to me there is, didnt use the full 90 days and I declare the bank show me the steps they took to help me and to investigate this matter! when I call the number that is given on the complaint the extension they give with no response sadly due to my privacy. ( breaking my right ) Bank of America tells me its not a number they transfer to and is unsafe, Total run around, the claim had to be restarted due to the bank not verifying me and is in denial of the law wanting another 90 days, please in force a fast reply would like to apply max penalties if no response within 10-15 days in the portal due to what the law is. I lot had to be every bit of only 2 weeks seeing I placed in 6 claims and they stated I didnt have a claim in properly due to the bank not allowing it due to them unable to verify me however they are being XXXX about this being fraud not understanding the questions in place we took from another person and true card has been used or either duplicated to be used and are telling me I got it in the mail. I WANT TO SEEK MAX PENALTIES DUE TO THE LIES TO ME AND THE FAKE INVESTIGATION AS SEEN IN THE BELOW IMAGES I HAVE GOT THE MAIL STATING THEY COSED THE CASE PLEASE FORCE THE CORRECT ACTIONS ON BANK OF AMERICA TO PROTECT MY RIGHTS.

Consumer Complaint: I'm sure you have plenty of evidence against BofA as far as the opening of accts without permission but here are 2 more. The second one I reported the day before the story broke in the news. Incident XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX rec 'd notice from BofA that my request for XXXX XXXX Mastercard was approved and they were reducing my credit line on another one of my BofA cards ( card ending in XXXX ) in order to send me the new card. I really did not believe I would get the card because I knew I did not apply for it. Rec 'd the card ( card ending in XXXX ) around XXXX and cancelled it. XX/XX/XXXX - rec 'd notice that a fraudulent acct was opened in my name and the credit line effected was being restored. I called XXXX XX/XX/XXXX to issue a complaint. They said I was in good standing and credit line was ok and they would file a complaint. Incident # 2 : XX/XX/XXXX rec 'd email advising that BofA had rec 'd my application for a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX Rec 'd email advising that I had been approved for this card. XX/XX/XXXX dated letter in mail that I had been approved for this XXXX XXXX card and another BofA card 's credit limit was being adjusted ( card ending in XXXX ) so that I could get this new card. XX/XX/XXXX rec 'd email that new card was shipped. XX/XX/XXXX - I returned from vacation and came back to find the XXXX XXXX XXXX, that I did not request, in my mail ( card ending in XXXX ). Called BofA on XX/XX/XXXX and reported it, they said they would cancel it and said to contact credit bureaus to prevent issues. Which I did.. The next day the issue of accounts opened by BofA without consent was on the news. I am awaiting an update from Bof A that the credit limit on the card they reduced is restored. I do have of all the documents, including the credit cards issued, that I have referenced above but will not attach them unless they are needed.

Consumer Complaint: I received and email that an account was opened at Bank of America through their online banking. I called right away to report it as fraudulent banking at BofA. It took 20 mins to get to a person, XXXX finally picked up. He asked for my social security number and I said no, I will share other I do to prove its me. He took my DOB and Last 4 of my SSN. He found 2 accounts had been opened within a day of each other. I asked him to close them. He asked me a few questions, I answered them and he confirmed on the phone they had been closed out without impact to my credit score or other since no cash was exchanged. Yesterday the cards for the account showed up at my door, I dont understand why they would be here if the account has been closed. This is three accounts now that BofA have opened under my name. I have filed with them and told them at no point will I authorize an account being open at BofA. How do I get these accounts closed? My credit is frozen, I have done everything to lock down my identity as well. Please help! XXXX
