Consumer Complaint: Bank of America sent me correspondence, indicating that my TIN number was incorrect for my business savings account. I attempted to call them to receive verification. I was not able to get a clear answer. I asked to speak to a supervisor. Upon being transferred to the supervisor of the employee, the Person indicated that I was not verified. I asked to be asked questions to verify my identity. They refused to do so, and did not address my concern. I stated that it was an IRS issue and I needed confirmation that they had the correct TIN number and that they did not need any more information from me. I spoke to XXXX at XXXX Eastern time on XX/XX/2023 and her supervisor XXXX. Both individuals refused to identify themselves for their refused to give any form of a ID or employee number or last name. I repeatedly offerred to answer any and all identifying questions. I also highlighted that this was in fact my XXXX call and that I already spoke with someone but wanted confirmation. I explained that the first individual asked me several times the same question and may have either been having a challenge with the phone connection, language or input the information incorrectly as they were repeating to me information such as when I called incorrectly. XXXX and XXXX were absolutely atrocious. Absolutely incompetent and with horrible customer service. I suggest banking elsewhere. I will be.

Subissue: Problem with rewards from credit card
Consumer Complaint: I have a Bank of America Premium Rewards credit card. Last year I received reimbursement for airline incidentals. I charged baggage fees this year using that credit card. When I received my May 2023 statement after using the card to make the charges, I did not see any credit issued. I contacted a representative at the bank who told me that reward isn't available. I then contacted my financial planner at Merrill Lynch. I spoke with the liaison to Bank of America. She told me that the card still had a {$200.00} annual credit towards airline incidentals. I then asked her why I did not receive the credit. On XX/XX/2023 she informed me that the airlines I flew on ( XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX ) were not participating airlines. I was never told that all certain airlines qualified for the incidentals credit. Had I known that I would have purchase a fare that included a checked bag which overall would have been less costly than purchase the basic economy fare and then paying extra for a checked bag.
