Consumer Complaint: I paid the entire balance due of {$3000.00} on my credit card on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/2023, Bank of America took {$1800.00} directly out of my checking account to pay the balance that was listed on my most recent statement ( XX/XX/2023 ). My balance due was {$0.00}, and had been for nearly 2 weeks at the time BOA took my money. When I contacted them by phone, they said they could send me a check for the credit on my account and it would take up to 10 business days for me to receive it. I then contacted the office to close my account and was told it could take XXXX business days OR MORE to receive the refund of the money they stole from me on XX/XX/XXXX. The bank claimed that because I had " autopay '' turned on, that they were authorized to take the amount that was due on my most recent statement, EVEN THOUGH I HAD PAID THE BALANCE IN FULL 2 WEEKS PRIOR. Now, BOA can earn interest on MY money they took from me without my authorization - money that I did not owe them. If this is a loophole in their business practices, this needs to be closed. Thank you!

Consumer Complaint: Complaint regarding Delivery of funds using domestic wire transfer by Merrill XXXX. I am writing to express my deep concern and frustration regarding the wire transfer of {$320000.00}, which was processed on XX/XX/2023. Regrettably, despite the transaction being initiated, the funds have yet to arrive at my designated receiving bank. Despite providing the Fed wire number, Merrill XXXX representatives have been unable to offer any helpful information or assistance in this matter. I have diligently reached out to multiple representatives at Merrill XXXX XXXX, but unfortunately, none of them have been able to provide a satisfactory resolution or offer any meaningful assistance. At this point, I have no choice but to request an immediate recall of the {$320000.00}. After I submitted a recall, the bank can not provide any evidence or result of the recall besides asking me to wait for days. Since XX/XX/XXXX my fund has left the Merrill XXXX account, and I have not seen the fund show up anywhere. It is just disappear in the Merrill XXXX system. I can not help but suspect that there may have been some mishandling or misappropriation of my funds by Merrill Lynch bank. Please investigate and contact Merrill XXXX to return my fund of total {$320000.00}.

Consumer Complaint: this is regarding our business checking account with Bank of America ( which we've been a customer of for over 30 years ) : On XX/XX/XXXX two small electronic deposits were made in the amounts of XXXX cents and XXXX cents, the depositor was listed as 'XXXX XXXX, later that day, an unauthorized withdrawal of {$9000.00} was made by XXXX XXXX ', and then again in the same day, another withdrawal was made in the amount of XXXX cents by XXXX ( equal to the XXXXwo earlier deposits ). A week later on XX/XX/XXXX, two more deposits were made in the amount of XXXX cents and XXXX cents, again by XXXX, and then later in the day another unauthorized electronic withdrawal was made in the amount of {$15000.00} by XXXX XXXX, later in the day another withdrawal of XXXX cents was made by XXXX ( total of two earlier deposits ), then a week later on XX/XX/XXXX another unauthorized withdrawal of {$12000.00} was made again by XXXX XXXX. Because we hadn't checked our account online in that two week period, we hadn't noticed until we received our paper statement in the mail that these unauthorized withdrawals were made. We alerted BoA 's fraud dept. ( which by the way takes over an hour of wait time to finally reach someone ) and filed a police report. BoA, initially said it would take up to 12 days to resolve it, we called back to check on the status of the claim and they then said it could take up to 30 days, called back later and then said up to 60 or 90 days. It's been about 95 days, we call and they say a decision has been made but won't tell us what it is. we called over 10 business days ago and they said they would tell us in 10 days, it's been over 10 business days and they say they might call us at the end of the week. We can't get answers from anyone, these hackers wiped out our entire account, and being a small business, we can't afford to lose {$36000.00} and BoA apparently doesn't care one bit. How does BoA not flag those initial deposits as suspicious? If my credit card has a suspicious charge like that, they flag it and freeze the card, but BoA has no security measures of any kind.
