Consumer Complaint: Im writing this in accordance with the Fair credit reporting act, in regard to a negative statement on my credit report made by Bnk of America. This creditor has violated my rights. Under 15 USC 1681 section 602, states I have the right to privacy. In 15 USC 1681 section 604a section 2, states that a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instructions. Under 15 USC 1666b, a creditor may not treat a Credit card account under an open consumer credit plan as late for any purpose.

Below are the transaction information I got from XXXX Bank Name : - XXXX XXXX - XXXX XXXX Account Number - XXXX XXXX - XXXX Country : - XXXX transaction reference number provided by remitly : XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX dollars ) : XXXX XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX dollars ) : XXXX After I reported the incident to XXXX bank and XXXX cybersecurity department and blocked the hacker 's bank account and froze the XXXX transactions in XXXX, I received several blackmailing emails which threatened me to expose my school credential information and bank account. The hacker also held an illegal website which conducting illegal hacking activities : XXXX XXXX XXXX Hire A Hacker Rent/Hire Verified Hackers At Affordable Price For Email Hack XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Phone Hack 100 % Safe And Secure Payment Method Genuine Result XXXX The IP address found for the website is : XXXX The IP address found for the email is : XXXX I disputed the XXXX transactions several days ago while the investigation team said they don't have enough information to prove these are involuntary transactions and since the money has reached the hacker 's bank account, bofa can't compensate me my loss. While right now since I've reported to all the relevant US police departments and have enough evidence to prove that those are not voluntary transactions, and I also have the money frozen from XXXX XXXX side, I'm wondering if it is still possible to get my money back? the relevant documents are attached to the email, thank you so much in advance for your help.

Consumer Complaint: This morning [ XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX ], I noticed on the BOA app that my Bank of America Travel Rewards Credit Card has been changed to the Bank of America Unlimited Cash Rewards Visa Signature credit card. Both of these cards have {$0.00} annual fee. On their website, it states that the travel card has no foreign transaction fee, whereas the unlimited cash rewards card has a 3 % foreign transaction fee. I have received countless offers to switch my travel card to the unlimited cash card and I never authorized this change. My last transaction made on this credit card was on XX/XX/XXXX, almost 2 years ago. I suspected this change might be targeted to less active accounts like mine, similar to their unauthorized account openings scheme. I called customer support about this issue and the support agent told me there was a notice that was sent to me on XX/XX/XXXX notifying me of this change. However, in this notice, supposedly, there was no option to opt out of it. I do not see any such notice on my online account, where I should have a digital copy of all notices that are physically mailed to me. The support agent tried to convince me to stay on the unlimited cash credit card by telling me I have an introductory offer of {$200.00} cash back if I spend {$1000.00} in the first couple of months of my account being opened. He also mentioned that this was an upgrade to my old card. At this point, I told him that this is actually a downgrade due to the foreign transaction fee. He looked into my account and saw that my specific account doesnt have foreign transaction fees and this was part of the complementary change to honor the no foreign transaction fees on my old card. I asked to have my card switched back to the travel card since I never authorized this change. He read the disclosure about accounts and offers becoming invalid. Wanting more time to think about this, I asked for documentation to be sent and he said he can send the documentation specific to my account. However, his only option is to send it via physical mail and it should arrive in XXXX weeks.

Consumer Complaint: I applied for a Bank of America credit card on XX/XX/XXXX to initiate balance transfer from my XXXX XXXX XXXX and was immediately approved by Bank of America. After getting approved for the Bank of America credit card, I set up the mobile banking app. A couple days later, on XX/XX/XXXX, I tried signing into the Bank of America mobile banking app and it wouldn't let me proceed, stating that my account was flagged for fraud, which came as a surprise since I didn't have the physical card yet and had yet to even utilize the account, nor had my balance transfer been initiated. When I called their customer service phone number, they wouldn't provide me with any information and said that I have to visit a physical branch location to resolve the issue. I was finally able to schedule an appointment and visit a branch location on XX/XX/XXXX, where the only issue was that they needed two forms of my ID to verify I was the one applying for an account - it would have been incredibly helpful if they could have disclosed this over the phone and prevented all the stress. After presenting my ID 's to them, my mobile account was unlocked, but the balance transfer still had not been initiated. Due to the delay in the balance transfer, I decided to take funds from my personal savings account and instead paid off the balance I was trying to transfer that was on my XXXX XXXX XXXX. I paid off this balance in full on my XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. I called Bank of America to advise them to cancel the balance transfer since I already made the payment and they advised me that that wouldn't be possible since the transaction was pending, they advised me to then contact XXXX to see if they would be able to cancel the transaction on their end. I called XXXX, and they were not able to cancel the transaction either. The Bank of America balance transfer was FINALLY initiated on XX/XX/XXXX and I was charged a balance transfer fee of 3 %. Since then I have called Bank of America several times asking for the transfer fee to be waived since it was an inaccurate charge and they denied my dispute of having the fee removing, and have further stated there is nothing they can do about it. For the 3 % fee, I was charged {$420.00} that was wrongfully taken from me and I did all that I could to prevent this from happening. I have paid off the entirety of the balance that Bank of America transferred ( which they shouldn't have transferred as it caused XXXX to have to write me a check for that amount ). However, I have not paid for the balance transfer fee of {$420.00} as I feel I do not owe this amount and I desperately need help getting these funds back.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX ( and other dates ) I received a promotional email from Bank of America about a BankAmeriDeal. According to the deal, if I used my Bank of America card to sign up from XXXX XXXX XXXX, I would be rewarded with {$5.00}. I signed up for XXXX XXXX XXXX on or around XX/XX/XXXX ( according to the BoA rep I spoke with later, the transaction posted on XX/XX/XXXX on their end ). Bank of America never provided me with the {$5.00} reward. When I called Bank of America on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX to inquire about this, I was provided with the following explanation : Because the merchant ( XXXX ) coded the transaction as " XXXX XXXX '' rather than " XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX '' I was not eligible for the promotion. I have proof that I signed up for XXXX XXXX XXXX using my BoA credit card, and I offered to provide that proof to BoA. Bank of America said there was no way for them to review that proof and that there was nothing further they could do. I believe this was a deceptive practice. If Bank of America meant that I would get {$5.00} for signing up for " XXXX XXXX, '' they should have said that in their promotion. But they said that I would get {$5.00} if I signed up for " XXXX XXXX XXXX. '' I did sign up for XXXX XXXX XXXX, and they refused to give me the {$5.00} bonus. It's unfair for them to not hold up their end of the bargain. Their back-end coding issue, which was never disclosed upfront, should not excuse them for refusing to follow through with their end of the bargain that they advertised.

As you know, they have a history of ongoing lawsuits. For example, in XXXX, XXXX XXXX was found in violation of the Consumer Financial Protection Act ( CFPA ), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ), and Fair Credit Reporting Act. Basically, in XX/XX/XXXX this debt collector forced me to pay them {$2400.00} in order to avoid them from garnishing my salary. So I called and I didnt get any heads up about my account being closed. I just got this account last month. They told me it was due to suspicious activity and that I needed to be verified so I got verified and now they are telling me they cant do much. I had just made a new password last night for my Bank of America account because I felt like something was off on my app. Im so very confused and upset, because I got this job and Im new and I get paid the XXXX and idk how Im gon na be able to access my account. I need it, its nonsense that my account got closed for no reason, especially without any warning

Consumer Complaint: On Saturday, XX/XX/XXXX, at approximately XXXX, we tried to deposit {$2000.00} into our joint account through ATM number XXXX, however the ATM swallowed all the bills and after an error message it accused the deposit of only {$300.00}. We called the number listed on the ATM machine ( XXXX ) and opened a claim number XXXX. The first call was at XXXX and after XXXX minutes the agent disconnected the call without a solution. The first agent acknowledged the error in the ATM machine and called a technician to fix the machine, however he advised us to not wait for the technician since it could take XXXX hours for the fix. We had to leave the ATM and drive to our destination, so we placed the second call at XXXX where to agent told us that a resolution would take place in the next XXXX. With no communication from the bank whatsoever, we called again on XX/XX/XXXX and after XXXX minutes we were told that a resolution could take 10 days. Since we have bills to pay with that cash and we can't wait that long for the release of our money ( and also every time we called a different information was given ), we called again on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX for an update. The agent advised that we were eligible for a temporary credit for the missing {$1700.00}, however upon reading the notes for claim XXXX, a memo was added that their back-office rejected the request for the temporary credit. We requested to have that rejection escalated as Bank of America is holding our money without a proper reason. The agent advised that we needed to call back again to find out the response to her escalation in the next XXXX.
