Consumer Complaint: I signed a lease with a person called XXXX XXXX who claimed that she owns the property on XX/XX/2023, and I paid my rent and security deposit on that day through XXXX and wire transfer. I made XXXX XXXX transfers and XXXX wire transfer, which should be {$1500.00} in total, but the person told me that the second XXXX transfer didn't go through and she asked me to pay {$500.00} more, so I paid {$2000.00} in total. Later that night, I called Bank of America to confirm if the XXXX transfers went through and the bank told me they did, so I contacted the person to ask for my money back, and then she blocked me on the social media and I couldn't reach out to her anymore. I didn't get the place I rent, and my friend told me that his friend, who is a real estate agent, found out that the person didn't even own this property. As soon as I realized that this is a fraud, I contacted my bank trying to dispute the XXXX transfers and the wire transfer. However, they denied the claim of refunding my XXXX transfers this morning, and I don't know what to do. I'm still waiting for them to dispute my wire transfer, but I need to know how to make an appeal on the denied claim.

Consumer Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX XXXX, I am formally filing a complaint against Bank of America. The purpose of this communication is to address a matter related to XXXX accounts maintained within her institution, which I have marked as late for the month of XX/XX/XXXX. The sequence of events unfolded as follows : Initially, I was receiving consistent notifications and reminders in relation to the aforementioned accounts. However, an abrupt cessation of these communications transpired, prompting me to initiate contact with your customer service representatives. Regrettably, I was informed that my accounts were current and devoid of any delinquencies. It wasn't until I undertook a review of my credit reports that I ascertained the presence of belated negative annotations. It is important to highlight that my association with Bank of America dates back to XXXX, during which time I have diligently fulfilled all financial obligations in a timely manner. This impeccable record of punctual payments is manifest across both accounts in question. The implications of this erroneous situation have been profoundly detrimental, exerting a cascading impact on both my financial circumstances and emotional well-being. Of particular note, the adverse effects extend to the denial of various loan applications, thereby exacerbating the distressing repercussions. In light of the aforementioned circumstances, I beseech Bank of America to undertake the expeditious removal of the negative annotations affixed to both of my accounts. I firmly believe that the rectification of this predicament will facilitate the restoration of my financial stability and alleviate the considerable distress endured. In conclusion, I anticipate a timely and diligent response from Bank of America in order to rectify this situation and mitigate the deleterious consequences that have transpired. I look forward to a swift resolution of this matter.

Consumer Complaint: I was given a XXXX chance offer thru XXXX on an item that I had bid on. Money ( {$36000.00} ) was sent via wire to an account at Bank of America. the next morning after the wire was sent XXXX had notified me that the account may had been accessed by a XXXX party and not the " owner '' of the account. As soon as the bank opened on the XX/XX/23 I went in to notify the manager that it was possible fraud and they notified their fraud department who then would reach out to BOA. BOA responded on the XXXX that their customer denied that the transaction was fraudulent. I had filed a complaint.BOA did not even freeze the account at all to try and see if there was possibility of fraud. I did file a report with the FBI ( no response ) then on I filed a report with the local authorities who requested a subpoena of the account from BOA.Which BOA did not even provide all information that the Detective requested. According to the Detective the account to which the account was sent was sent to a XXXX branch of BOA but the company listed on the invoice I was sent was actually in XXXX. The account was opened the month before with {$100.00} and then another small deposit was made. Then about a week before my wire was initiated another large deposit was made and withdrawn in a day in about XXXX different transactions. Then My money went into the account. The detective had told me that my money was still sitting in the account even after my bank notified BOA of a potential fraud/scam.The account at BOA has since been closed. BOA did abosulelty nothing in any manner shape or form to even verify the potential of a scam by either me or their customer on me. I have the police report and all information pertaining to this matter. It is my honest opinion that BOA should be held liable for being negligent in preventing frauds/scams for as they did nothing even after the account activity before me should have thrown a red flag of what was potentially happening.

Consumer Complaint: I disputed a service charge with Bank of America for {$1000.00} which I considered fraudulent, as a former XXXX with fraud experience. They advised it was not a fraud if i initiated the service. I did not initiate until after the service provider offered a discount, a very public offer made on his XXXX XXXX. Bank of America advised that the service provider was under no obligation to honor that discount and essentially left me " holding the bag. ''

Consumer Complaint: Hello, my name is XXXX XXXX and I, alongside my wife, XXXX XXXX are the owners of XXXX XXXX. A local catering company who serves the local XXXX area. We would like to submit a complaint to the CFPB in regards to how Bank of America had been misleading our company in regards to how their Preferred Rewards program had calculated their 3-month daily average balance as outlined in their " schedule of fees for business '' brochure that is readily available online and advertised on their website ( https : //www.bankofamerica.com/salesservices/smallbusiness/resources/business-schedule-fees/ ). As a result of what we believe is an error, has resulted in not receiving any benefits for which I believe our business has qualified for upon reaching the XXXX requirement for preferred rewards platinum honors status cumulatively across all my eligible business accounts with the company. More specifically on the XXXX of XX/XX/2023 is when we had surpassed the XXXX requirement with the program. Prior to making this transfer from my other Business Checking account with XXXX, we were told the company accounts had about XXXX prior to transferring additional funds upon opening what was advertised as a qualifying account for their preferred rewards program for business, the " Business Investment Account ( BIA ) ''. Some of the benefits I believe we were told we were entitled to, according to the brochure, includes having free ATM withdrawals, a higher credit card reward rate, free wire transfers alongside many other benefits that were the primary reasons for why we had decided to increase our monthly balance with the company in the first place. Like the brochure had stated we have linked the business checking accounts to the Bank of America Business Checking account which I assumed should mean both accounts balances should be averaged together as how it is advertised and stated in the brochure on page XXXX but sadly this was never the case and it appears my calculated average balance has been on the decline ever since I opened and moved the money to the XXXX XXXX XXXX Account and now only includes the average balance in my checking account only. In addition, like mentioned I had already been in contact with the bank over phone regarding resolving this issue at least twice and I was simply transferred around.

I live in Florida and never received a card for the account ending XXXX which I informed the Bank of America Representative XX/XX/23 the day I saw a fraud charge pending on account. I called when it was just pending because I saw it on the online banking when making a payment. It was for 2 separate pending charges of {$240.00} The amount was changed and the bank let the charge go on account anyway when they changed amount to {$220.00}. I Had to call Bank of America again since amount was changed to add to claim the {$220.00} to claim which made claim {$710.00}. The representative said this happens they let it go on account anyway sometimes when amount changed. That is totally ridiculous. They just let it go on the account I want proof of who did this because it wasn't us. We want our money refunded immediately. This is very concerning how would you let a charge on your account you didn't do with out proof. We need proof of who they say made charge copy of signed sales receipt and id used.
