Consumer Complaint: I opened a Bank of America rewards credit card on XX/XX/2023 because they offered a XXXX XXXX bonus if {$1000.00} was spent within 90 days. I spent the {$1000.00} dollars and my billing cycle ended on XX/XX/2023. On XX/XX/2023 the bank closed my credit card for no reason. This company is notorious for issues with their rewards, and I was unaware of this until after they have done this and I looked up the issue. Their decison to close my account because I earned my rewards was to attempt to try and prevent the rewards from being used, as their contract says all rewards are lost upon closure of the account for any other reason than owner request or due to inactivity.. Luckily, I had already used my rewards before they had closed the account. However, this attempt to not pay the rewards is going to severely affect my credit score. As my FICO score is currently XXXX and the remaining ~ {$3000.00} dollars on the BoA credit card was counted as " unused credit '' for purposes of my " credit usage '' calculation. It is likely that this unlawful and deceptive action of closing my account in an attempt to withold the rewards will decrease my credit score by more than XXXX points.

Consumer Complaint: After two years Bank of America still havent returned the funds that was mistakenly deposited into my account and was supposed to go into my business account, today XXXX XXXX I just found out today that Bank of America is still holding {$25000.00} of the SBAs money and will not return it! After I was informed by them back on XXXX XXXX that they were waiting on SBA to inform them what they wanted them to do with the funds! But the SBA informed me they never received any information from Bank America on this matter of them holding the funds XX/XX/2023! All I wanted them to do was give the {$25000.00} back that is it! What is so hard about this it was a small mistake of wrongful account numbers which both account numbers are mind but they closed my checking account with bank America because they thought I was trying to commit fraud! Which wasnt the case I am not a criminal I worked hard for everything I have and own! This mistake has went on too long! I thought this was over two years ago but Bank of America refused to return funds that do not belong to them please return the {$25000.00} back to the SBA! That is all I want I encourage you to stop this madness! I reported this matter before and nothing was done! I want this matter resolved immediately

Consumer Complaint: This bank is continuing illegal activities on my account. On XX/XX/XXXX, I paid my credit card in full ( card ending in XXXX ). On XX/XX/XXXX, Bank of America closed this account, without ANY notice, without merit ( this account was ALWAYS paid on time for over 7 years ), as per the credit card agreement. When I called to find out what was going on, the staff had no answer, and I was told there was a notice sent to me ; which there was not, a LIE. I have e-mail and electronic notices set up to this account and there was no notice. It was at that time, on XX/XX/XXXX I requested my savings account be closed ( account ending in XXXX, to which there was NO ATM card attached ) and the keep the change feature be removed from my checking account ( ending in XXXX ). I attempted to contact Bank of America on XX/XX/XXXX, to again request the reason for the illegal credit card closure and again, no answer, and again I was told there was a notice sent to me, another LIE. Also, on XX/XX/XXXX, a credit card statement was generated, saying that I had interest charges on an account that was PAID prior to the billing cycle, ILLEGAL, AND the statement was showing my account as OPEN! On XX/XX/XXXX, I attempted to use my ATM card ( that is linked to my open account ending in XXXX ) and learned it was shut off! I did not request this, nor did I authorize this, AGAIN! I had to AGAIN sit on the phone for over an hour, run to the closest ATM, as per the instructions of the Bank of America staff member, incur 2 ATM fees to try and get my ATM card turned back on! On XX/XX/XXXX, I received an e-mail stating my credit card was closed on XX/XX/XXXX, ANOTHER LIE, it was illegally closed on XX/XX/XXXX and that will not cover you for breach of contract! Today, XX/XX/XXXX, I see that after all over this ILLEGAL activity, the keep the change feature is STILL on! This bank should be shut down.
