Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I deposited my paycheck, via mobile deposit. I do this same deposit, every month, from the same company, for the same amount. When I did the mobile deposit the screen said the funds would be available in the next 48 hours. We I logged into my bank account today XX/XX/XXXX, and It showed my paycheck was being held till XXXX. This well over a week from now. I have never had my check held for over a week. I have bills due at the beginning of the month, including my rent. This hold is going to harm myself and my household. I will now have a derogatory mark and fee for late payment of rent. I called Bank of America, assuming there was an error, as it has never taken this long for a check to clear. The same check I deposit every month. It is close to impossible to speak to an actual person. After 15 mins of going around with the bot, I finally am able to be on hold waiting for an agent. I waited 45mins to speak to a person! This agent tells me it take time to clear and verify the check. I explain the deposit is made every month, etc. Agent tells me, yes I can see you make this check. deposit every month. Agent can not tell me why this deposit is taking over a week to clear. Agent said there is nothing they can do, I have to wait till the 6th. Agent has me speak to their supervisor. Supervisor says much of the same. I asked why is this check being singled out. Supervisor didn't know. I asked what can be done is speed the process up, Supervisor says there's nothing. I asked if I can close my account, and take my check to my credit union instead, as waiting until the 6th is not acceptable, and will cause me financial harm. He said that wouldn't do anything that my check would still go to Bank of America. Eventually the Supervisor says he will put a request in to have my check get reviewed, he said that process may take 1-2 business days. He said they may release it, may not. The only way to know would be to check the app. I asked if there was a reference number or department for me to follow up, he said no. I said it takes 45mins to get a person on the phone, he said you can check you account balance.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I made a reservation to stay at a hotel in XXXX, NY for a wedding. Upon arrival I began to blowdry my hair for the first wedding event. Within a few minutes, the manager was pounding on my door and then suddenly a fire alarm went off. Please note ; the manager was at my door BEFORE the fire alarm went off. He very rudely questioned, while yelling in my face, 'WHAT is going ON in here!?! ' I explained that I was blow drying my hair and had product in it. And he spat back incredulously, 'WHY is it all hazy in here?! ' I calmly moved aside to show him my blowdryer, which he could have heard through the door, and explained again, there was product in my hair which caused VAPOR, not smoke. There was no smell or anything. This manager said nothing about there being emergency staff coming to check my room and reset the fire alarm, actually he didn't say anything at all beyond a rude 'Ooookay. Sure, ' before storming off. I then moved into the bathroom where there was a fan, shut the door and continued to finish my hair when suddenly there's pounding on the bathroom door INSIDE my room!!! I came out to find a fireman had been let in my room without my consent and was later told this was because of emergency protocol, but the manager who'd just been in my room not five minutes prior was fully aware there was no emergency, which, to me, completely voids that protocol. I could have been in any state of undress!!! And the fact of the matter was that this hotel where I'd paid to stay safely had now let someone in my room without my permission WHILE I WAS IN IT. I ended up missing the rehearsal dinner for the wedding because I was dealing with the hotel staff and the fireman and now didn't even trust leaving my things. I didn't really want to stay there, but I was XXXX hours from home and didn't have any more money to go stay somewhere else. I spent the next 2 days riddled with anxiety that I might set off another alarm or that someone else would be allowed in my room without permission. The following day I made it to the actual wedding itself. Then the next morning when I went to check out, I saw they'd slapped a {$270.00} charge on my bill for the smoking I had not done in the room. No mention was ever made of this by the manager, who was conveniently unavailable, either. While I was supposed to be at the final wedding event, I was instead arguing with hotel staff to get them to remove the charge as I didn't smoke in the room and there were no damages. I'd now missed XXXX of the events in the wedding because of the hotel staff. When I got home, imagine my surprise when I found over {$600.00} of unauthorized and unexplained charges on my card, all from the hotel. They now had over {$1000.00} of my money and all I had to show for it was a ruined trip. When I called the hotel to get information, I was given the run-around on the phone until they eventually HUNG UP ON ME. Twice. They had essentially ruined my stay and now stolen over {$600.00} and refused to talk to me. I called Bank of America to dispute the charge and they said they would need to " verify my story '' ... .with the hotel that had just lied and stolen from me. Seem legit. I eventually was able to get back the money for the unauthorized charges, not through the hotel - because they wouldn't speak to me, but through disputing with Bank of America. But I didn't feel I should have to pay for a stay that was completely ruined AND deal with the drama of trying to get my over {$600.00} back for the following week or so after. It's been over a month and Bank of America has now denied my claim as to the dispute for charge for the stay, giving no information as to why in their 'response letter ' and when I called they refused to work with me and said that technically services were rendered since I didn't cancel my stay. I didn't have any more money to stay somewhere else and I was XXXX hours from home. I had NO CHOICE but to stay even though I felt completely unsafe as they'd let emergency personnel into my room unauthorized when they knew there was no emergency, and basically harassed me about smoking which I wasn't doing. This was supposed to be a fun weekend getaway and instead I spent it anxiety-ridden and then had to spend the next week trying to get back the money they'd stolen. I do not feel I should have to pay for this stay at all and Bank of America and the hotel refuse to work with me. I even offered to compromise and said they could remove half of the charge but they said unless I could prove that services were not rendered by showing a cancellation, they wouldn't be doing anything further. I am disgusted with the level of " customer service '' from both XXXX XXXX XXXX & XXXX by XXXX in XXXX, NY and Bank of America, with whom I've been a loyal customer for over a decade. Please note on the image of the adjusted invoice where they ADMIT I was not smoking in the room and there was no need for the original charge or any of the additional unauthorized charges. In another image, you'll see several of these unauthorized charges for {$270.00} where they were charged and refunded. There was also another unexplained charge for an additional {$220.00}, which was scrubbed from the account. I never received an explanation for any of these charges. You'll also find my 'claim denied " letter from Bank of America where they gave an insufficient explanation of denial.

Consumer Complaint: Bank of America garnished my paycheck from my bank account without a court order or judgment. They claim I owe them money for my boat loan, but they have not shown me anything that states I still owe them. My loan should have been paid off in XXXX last year. However, I offered to make payments last year to settle this so that it would not affect my credit, but they told me I could not do that ; I could only pay it in full. But the lady I spoke to yesterday said she was sorry because whoever told me that told me wrong, and I could have made payments. The Texas government website states : " However, Texas does allow for a bank account to be frozen. Once your wages are deposited into your bank account, the funds can be frozen and possibly seized. In order to do this, a debt collector must have won the lawsuit and had an order issued by the court. This can be confusing because the order is called a " writ of garnishment '' but it still can not be used to take incoming wages. '' There was never a lawsuit! Bank of America has stolen money out of my account leaving me {$0.00} to live on. Bank of America told me that my paycheck that they took is nonrefundable, even though I never authorized this transaction and it was done without my knowledge. In the attachment, you will see my paycheck listed as a deposit for {$1700.00}, and then immediately Bank of America took {$1700.00}, listed as a DEBIT FOR CHARGED OFF ACCOUNT FDES, leaving me {$7.00} from my paycheck. I have also attached an article from your website showing that they have illegally garnished other people 's bank accounts titled, " CFPB Orders Bank of America to Pay {$10.00} XXXX Penalty for Illegal Garnishments. ''

Consumer Complaint: The existence of a derogatory rating on my account is causing me significant concern. I am deeply worried about its potential impact on my credit. It has already resulted in the denial of a recent loan application and an increase in the interest rates on my existing credit accounts. I want to emphasize the severe financial and emotional distress that this negative rating has caused me and will continue to cause until it is resolved.

Consumer Complaint: Bank of America neglected to pay the correct amount on my township taxes due XXXX. Upon receipt of a delinquent tax notice from my town I contacted the bank and they confirmed they underpaid. The delinquent amount of {$120.00} plus a small interest charge were paid out and the township confirmed receipt. My issue is that the bank paid the interest charge out of my escrow account instead of paying on their own as there or was 100 % theirs. I contacted them several times and they will not budge. I believe this may be a systemic problem and perhaps thousands of other customers may be unfairly charged as I was for the banks initiated errors.

Consumer Complaint: I notices in XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX, a two transactions in one of my accounts of Bank of America, one for the amount of {$850.00} and the other one for the amount of {$350.00}, immediately I proceeded to call them and the customer service representative help me to discover that they are been taking little amounts of money since XX/XX/XXXX through XXXX merchant from IL, NY, CA. We proceeded to cancel that debit card and sent me a new one and The bank opened a claim a return the amount in my account until they concluded the investigation. Last week XX/XX/XXXX they took all the money bank and they statement is that according to the merchant they probed with a email that doesnt belong to me and an old address that they transactions belong to us.
