Consumer Complaint: I contacted Bank of America several times about a fraudulent bank transfer. The first time they marked my claim as user error, but I called about a fraudulent transaction. They should have been able to suspend the transaction as it was before business hours on a Monday morning. After they sent the first letter denying my claim stating I input the information wrong I had to call back because the claim should have been filed as Fraud. Ive had to go back and forth with them several times and I have repeatedly requested back up documentation showing that the money was transferred to my account, which they have yet to provide. They are not completing any type of real investigation and none of the supervisors have access to phones for me to discuss this with. I find that incredibly hard to believe that a manager/supervisor works with no communication to the team.

Consumer Complaint: I deposited a check at Bank of America on the XXXX of XXXX for XXXX at the XXXX, Texas location. I received a receipt that states XXXX available on XX/XX/23 at XXXX & XXXX available on XX/XX/23 at XXXX. The representative at the bank also told me this information. Well, it's the holidays and none of my money is available they have a hold on it. I have spoke with several customer service representatives and supervisors regarding this matter where XXXX reps stated something different from what the supervisor advised me. So, it's like who do you believe or trust when you are continuously getting conflicting information. I was told XXXX available on XX/XX/23 that's what I'm expecting. Nobody seems to know anything or can tell me the correct information, but misinforming customers is not okay.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I made a XXXX transfer from my Bank of America account. On XX/XX/XXXX I received and email saying the transfer was on hold because it was being investigated. They told me to call a number provider within 15 days. I called immediately. I was told my transfer was being investigated due to the description. I was asked if I was sending money to XXXX, which I let them know I was not. I stated the money was for fundraising for a funeral of a family friend who passed away in XXXX, Florida. The agent proceeded to tell me that the investigation would take XXXX to XXXX days and that when the funds changed from processing to deducted from my account it meant the investigation had been completed. That very night, XX/XX/XXXX, the funds changed from processing to deducted. Yet, the recipient has not received the funds and it has already been XXXX days. I called Bank of America today and they completely changed their timeline. They are saying they have no timeline for this investigation. I asked that they place the money back in my account and they refuse to. They have been holding on to my {$300.00} for over XXXX days now and I needed this money to go into my family friends bank account immediately so she could help pay for funeral services.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account information incorrect
Consumer Complaint: I opened an account with Bank of America ( Acct no. XXXX ) approximately XXXX years ago. Several years ago I requested the account be closed. Never heard from Bank of America again until last week when I received a statement for {$82.00} ( see attached ). I called and was advised my account was past due. I advised the person on the phone that the account had been closed several years ago and I have not charged anything on the account since then. The account representative acknowledged that form what he could see that it had been at least a year since there has been any activity on the account. Apparently, he could not see past that. Based on this the account representative agreed to close the account ( which I had already done several years ago ) and to waive the amount due. A day later I check my credit score using my bank ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) app and it showed my score at XXXX. A few days later I applied for a loan and was advised that Bank of America had reported my account as being past due which damaged my score dramatically. I checked my score again with XXXX and it was down to XXXX. Of course this is going to cost me thousands of dollars in interest for me to obtain a new loan since I can not obtain the same interest rate now. Apparently, the balance due was from an annual fee. I called Bank of America today and the only history I could obtain was that following showed up on my account history- XXXX XXXX, {$1.00} interest charge adjustment ; XX/XX/XXXX, {$1.00} " " XX/XX/XXXX, {$1.00} " " XX/XX/XXXX, {$1.00} " " XX/XX/XXXX, {$79.00} Annual Fee XX/XX/XXXX, {$79.00} " " Could not obtain what years this was from Bank of America had no right to report to the bureau as this account had been closed and should remove this form my credit history.
