Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX my card was charged {$120.00}, which went through at a XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX California. Immediately after, they tried to charge the card again for the same amount, which Bank of America Blocked. Immediately after that transaction was blocked and I was sent a message I called and reported it, and was sent a new card. I explained to them the day before I stayed at a sketchy hotel that I caught someone trying to enter my room in the morning. Ive never been to that XXXX, or XXXX XXXX so it definitely wasnt me. I assume because I had the card in my possession they think it was me, but its so common these days for people to have those card skimmer things. Ive been with BOA XX/XX/XXXX years and maybe had 4 claims the entire time, I would not steal that money and I certainly wouldnt got to XXXX XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: Bank of America has reported incorrect/damaging information on my consumer report. The report is a defamation of character as it gives the impression I commit fraud- NOT TRUE, and I do not pay my debt- NOT TRUE. My account was closed XX/XX/XXXX original reason was Closed For Cause-Purged Previous Account Status : Closed For Cause. BOFA advised I owed a debt, XX/XX/XXXX I paid the debt then the creditor updated my information as paid- ( after me calling back to back for a year to get this correct ) however they also updated the information stating the closure reason is now account fraud as of the payment date XX/XX/XXXX. This caused all my account including auth accounts to be restricted, unable to use a debit card, and all my benefits and loan opportunities from my bank were dissolved. This information has severely impacted my financial health and my life. XXXX XXXX have been notified i have filed disputes, they have not provided any information as to how this can be accurate. Bank of america as well as XXXX XXXX both have class action lawsuits in the works, and have lawsuits pertaining to this. Fralish v. Early Warning Services , LLC FILED : JUNE 17, 2022 Becker v. Early Warning Servs Early Warning Servs. v. Grecia STEWART v. EARLY WARNING SERVICES In June of 2017 a federal lawsuit was brought against BOFA, Ruane v. Bank of America, this situation is very similar to mine. I have filed a complaint years ago detailing how the reporting left me homeless and caused severe harm to my physical and mental well being due to the financial distress I was placed under. I need this resolved. I can not afford to take care of my family. I cant afford life saving meds. Please remove this report or update it fairly. This is evil, its not fair, its not right, its wrong to treat people like this. This is not fraud on my part but on both BOFA and XXXX XXXX for wrongfully reporting this information, especially waiting until after receiving a payment from me. This is a shame.

Consumer Complaint: I deposited a large check via BoA 's mobile banking app, and it is being held for a week. This is wrong, solely because the check is drawn on BoA. This means their protestations about wanting to verify the check are false, because the check is drawn on funds already deposited. I might have had the option of depositing the check in-person, but they have closed all the branches near me. The nearest one to me is in XXXX, XXXX miles from my home in XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: Urgent Complaint Regarding Failure to Update Account Status - Loan Paid in Full I am writing to file a formal complaint against BANK OF AMERICA CORP ( BOA ) concerning the mishandling of my account status. Despite having paid off my loan in full and receiving the XXXX copy A, BOA has failed to update my account to reflect the paid-in-full status. I called them on XX/XX/23, regarding this matter but they said they didnt know what I was talking about and never took care of the situation This oversight not only affects my credit report accuracy but also raises concerns about the bank 's adherence to proper financial reporting standards. I have made multiple attempts to rectify this issue by contacting BOA directly, but the situation remains unresolved. I kindly request the CFPB 's intervention to investigate this matter and ensure that BOA promptly updates my account status to " Paid in Full. '' Additionally, I would appreciate guidance on any further steps I should take to address the consequences of this reporting discrepancy on my credit profile. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter, and I trust that the CFPB will work to ensure fair and accurate financial reporting practices.

Consumer Complaint: BofA has been running a public cash bonus offer throughout the year to provide new business customers with a {$200.00} bonus for opening a new Business Advantage checking account online. I signed up for it on XX/XX/, using the link below with the promo code " XXXX '' : https : XXXX. The offer details I signed up for are listed below : 1. Make Qualifying Deposits of {$5000.00} or more in new money* within 30 days of opening the new business checking account. 2. Maintain an average balance of {$5000.00} for the next 60 days ( days 31-90 ) during the maintenance period. I then deposited new money from my other banking institution on XX/XX/, and maintained the required balance over 90 days. However, I didn't receive any cash bonus from BofA even though I met all the requirements set by the bank. I then contacted the bank and received a case number for it. Later, I called and realized that my case had been denied without any given reason. Therefore, I am filing this complaint to ask for assistance in resolving this issue.
