Consumer Complaint: As a federally protected consumer I sent a notice to such company to opt out with information sharing on XX/XX/XXXX. I have never received notice or disclosure to opt out per 15 USC 6802. Furthermore, Per the FCRA as a federally protected consumer I am now opting out of any and all authorization, I, the consumer may have given you written, unwritten, verbal and nonverbal to any third party that is effectively immediately and indefinitely.Per the privacy act of XXXX, such financial institution violated their terms and conditions against me as they promised not to share my banking, personal, and private information with non-affiliates. Lastly, this account is reporting inaccurately across all credit agencies and needs to be updated immediately to paid as agreed.

Consumer Complaint: The incentive for enrollment in this card was for the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX after spending XXXX within the first XXXX months. This would have offset the premium for enrollment with the card and was my ONLY incentive to become a Bank of America client. Met the requirements and instead of XXXX miles I was given XXXX miles. I have sent the email offer I enrolled from which clearly states XXXX and at no point was told it would be a severely reduced XXXX miles. Multiple several hour calls within 30 days of account activation and after the 90 days I have tried to rectify this with XXXX XXXX and also Bank of America. Bank of America has lied and not provided ANY follow up communication.

Consumer Complaint: This has been a horrible experience it is XXXX I am without funds due to Bank of America closing my account. I called risk and closure on XX/XX/2023 to follow up about me picking up a check at a Bank OF America XXXX when speaking with risk and closure I was told XXXX cleared to pick up the check at any branch just call XXXX & XXXX if there were any issues. I make an appointment to go to the Bank Of America XXXX located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, CT I get a call from a banker by the name of XXXX who works at the branch she stated during the call she contacted whomever at Bank Of America and was told the check was sent out in the mail and that I could not open any accounts due to this being the bank 's decision. After the call with XXXX I immediately called risk and closure and spoke with a rep about why the check was sent in the mail the rep said the check was sent in the mail due to me not picking up the check on XX/XX/2023 when the rep stated this I found this to be very odd due to the fact that when I spoke with risk and closure there was not a set timeframe for me to pick up the check. Nonetheless, it is XX/XX/2023 XXXX XXXX and XXXX without any funds this is not ok at all bankers and corporate can enjoy their holiday with their families and people like me are without and can not enjoy anything I do not find this to be correct XXXX the victim however XXXX treated as a criminal. For the last month, this has been such a horrible experience no one at Bank Of America can talk or advise no one gives you a call, and most of all no one is knowledgeable about anything I go through hurdle after hurdle not achieving anything just a waste of time and phone calls.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX I took advantage of a balance transfer promotion offered through bank of America. I setup autopay on that account so the account would be paid on time until the debt was paid in full. This month XXXX of XXXX, when logging in to the bank of America XXXX, I noticed for the first time a late charge on my transaction history. This was odd to me considering I had autopay taking care of my payments for over a year now and had never been alerted to or notified that payments were being made late. I went back and reviewed all of my statements since taking advantage of the balance transfer offer, and was disturbed to discover that since the inception of the balance transfer offer, the auto payment date had been set to 3 days after the payment due date. This bank error has resulted in my account being charged a late fees since XXXX of XXXX up to and including this month XX/XX/XXXX. These late fees add up to nearly XXXX dollars. I contacted Bank XXXX XXXX credit card sector through my local branch and they only agreed to waive XXXX out of the XXXX late fees because they claim the system shows all the late fees to be valid. I escalated the situation to a supervisor whom offered no extra assistance or remedies for my situation. I also asked the supervisor for his XXXX or someone above him that I can contact regarding this special situation and he declined to provide any such info, claiming that there is nobody else to talk to. This entire situation is a result of Bank of Americas faulty autopay system. I set up auto pay on their app with the understanding that payments would be made on time. I literally set it and forgot it and was never notified of any issues with my autopay. If a bank is going to engage in digital payment options, those apps should be fool proof and never allow for something like this to happen. I want Bank of America to waive all late fees that have been a result of their system failure.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX Bank of America Re : Claim XXXX Sent via email I filed a claim for a fraudulent credit card transaction, and BOA is still ignoring the pertinent facts regarding the claim. Per the letter dated XX/XX/XXXX, for the re-evaluation of claim number XXXX on BOA account ending in XXXX, you provided the following reasons for refusal to reverse the fraudulent charges of {$360.00} : XXXX ) There was a statement or information from the merchant such as a signed receipt or contract. I only received an emailed receipt for the purchase and no concert tickets. I was repeatedly promised that I would receive them within 48 hours of the event, as indicated in their terms and conditions. I filed a police report because they did not fulfill the end of their contract. XXXX ) The merchandise or service was not canceled, returned, or eligible for a refund according to the merchants policy. I paid for two concert tickets for XXXX XXXX. We were denied entry to the event because there were no tickets at the gate with our names on them, nor did we get digital or paper tickets. The merchants terms and conditions specify that I am entitled to a refund since the tickets were not provided AT ANY POINT TO THIS DAY. XXXX ) Although you werent able to use the service, the merchant was willing and able to provide it to you. I could not use the service because I never received the tickets. The merchant was NOT willing to help me via email and DID NOT have a working customer service phone number! I have addressed these points in detail in my previous communications, refuting your conclusions. In this dispute, Bank of America seems to side with the vendor, citing every ambiguity instead of supporting the bank customers rights against fraud. It appears BOA has yet to spend any time researching this vendor. If so, you would see this website has a practice of not sending tickets after receiving payment or selling the same ticket to multiple customers ( which ultimately denies access to the customer when they try to use it ). Bank of America has a fiduciary responsibility to settle the claim in favor of the BOA customer if given reasonable evidence to support the dispute. The Bank also has a duty to protect their customers from apparent scams. Both my spouse and I have been Bank of America customers for decades, and it is very disappointing that you failed to defend your customers rights. In conclusion, I did not pay {$360.00} to enter a lottery or chance drawing for tickets. I paid for the actual tickets, which the vendor failed to provide at any time. Consumer Complaint: I filed an unemployment benefits claim for the pandemic and I was told that I didn't qualify, I later found out that the claim was indeed approved and someone had been receiving benefits on my behalf dating back from 2020. I tried to get in touch with the edd to file a claim and was told that I was under investigation for fraud. I tried to explain my situation to the bank of America and I since been receiving letters that the claim was approved in my favor but I have not received anything but yet I have statements stating that the money was spent. Apparently someone with all of my information was contacting the bank and acting as if they were me and was changing the information on my account and email and online account info. I have been defrauded of my benefits of the pandemic unemployment benefits claim and for my recent unemployment benefits claim because the claim was put on the same account as the pandemic account and I have spoke to Bank of America and I have tried to get them to close the account and open a new account to solve the issue but I was told that I needed to get ahold of the EDD to get a new account. My account is still being spent and I am still without the money from the two unemployment benefits claims.

Consumer Complaint: Bank of America edd prepaid card un expectedly frozen my account back in XXXX, for about 1 year later on I then find out it was due to linking my card to cash app. So since that I've made numerous attempts and calls to them providing all information requested by them. Accuratly. Over and over I am told to physically go to a branch with id. Well a number of times not only myself but also my finance stressed the fact that due to a life threatening incedent I'm unable to do such due to physical and mental challenges I now am facing. I have offered to send over my identification documents. They are not willing to work with me. Not once have I been notified by edd if any identity issues. I still have funds in my account that I desperately need access to. So where do I go from here.

Consumer Complaint: I arrived from an XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX trip in the XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. I was in the XXXX from XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX. I was able to use my credit card a few after arrival and received an email notification from Bank of America of possible fraud activities with my credit card account. I immediately reviewed my account online and noticed multiple fraudulent activities in the amount of approximately {$3000.00} plus. I immediately notified bank of america of fraudulent activities involving my credit card account. Bank of America initiated their investigation of the credit card activities as noted on my XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. A letter was sent to me Bank of America dated XX/XX/XXXX stating that the bank has completed their review of my fraudulent activities complaint that found I am still responsible for {$1700.00} and that my account was credited a total of {$180.00} with itemized on charges that the bank found that I am still responsible. I reviewed the letter and submitted a letter to the bank disputing their findings since many of the charges except for the {$710.00} out of {$1700.00} were fraudulent charges on my account. These charges were not done by me. I immediately submitted a payment of {$710.00} to my account on XX/XX/XXXX as my full payment for charges that I am responsible for on my account. I disputed the remaining amount of {$1000.00} by send a letter to Bank of America that was mailed on XX/XX/XXXX. Many of these charges were gasoline station ( XXXX ) charges often done the same day. As per my account history, I do not normally use XXXX for filling up gas but may have used XXXX may be XXXX per year. I usually go to XXXX 's gas station for filling up gas. Other fraudulent charges that the bank has found me responsible were fast food items such as XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX. These charges were not done by me. Since mailing the my dispute letter on XX/XX/XXXX, I have not heard anything back from Bank of America. I called Bank of America on XX/XX/XXXX to follow up of my dispute and was told that they have received my letter but was told that their investigation finding is final and that I am responsible for the full amount of {$1700.00}. I am therefore submitting this complaint to CFPB to voice my complaint as I am continually being asked to pay for charges that were fraudulently charged to my account.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX I went to the Bank of America atm to activate and withdraw money from my prepaid XXXX XXXX from the XXXX XXXX XXXX here in XXXX Georgia. Ive called and message Bank of America and there solutions are nonexistent. Its there atm that took the card while malfunctioning and yes XXXX could easily replace the card but Bank of America could issue a temporary credit since they know what happened to the prepaid card. I was unable to buy gifts with that money because I never got it. Also Im out of an XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX also. Have employees lying about who Im talking with and assume if a scam when XXXX claims oh we can see the card if its being used. I said if thats true you can see Im not using it so replace it. So XXXX accuses me lying I have a police report and screenshots. I tell all this to Bank of America they suggest on the phone via customer service representative to go in the store and demand my money because they dont deal with prepaid cards or cards not with there bank, They suggest call XXXX XXXX or go XXXX l to the store again nothing from them even though its there atm they caused the issue .i called the number on the atm they didnt send anyone out they just rebooted the atm which I later learned guaranteed my card wasnt coming back out according to the customer service rep I later talk to.

Consumer Complaint: I reported multiple duplicate charges to Bank of America in early XX/XX/2023 and filed corresponding claims. The bank identified most of the charges as fraudulent but unexpectedly denied the three largest ones, despite consistent evidence provided for all claims. It appears unusual that the proof successful for smaller claims did not yield the same result for the larger ones. I'll provide screenshots as evidence. There are so many I can only provide a few.
