Consumer Complaint: on XXXX i XXXX : XXXX applied for a XXXX XXXX XXXX American Express card on behalf of XXXX XXXX XXXX Ref id number XXXX. I was denied XX/XX/XXXX and sent an affidavit on XX/XX/XXXX with return receipt requested mail, demanding my credit decision be overturned due to my application being monetized, and the securities from of my application being deposited into their institution. Because they denied me access to my credit that was created with my application as a promise to pay. My application became my negotiable instrument which became my collateral and was deposited per 12 USC 1141 ( g ) ( 2 ) They are are violating the Equal Credit Opportunity Act and Securities Fraud Act under 18USC 1348, The law clearly states that all applications that are not returned must be approved. 15 USC 1691 ( a ) clearly states " it shall be unlawful for any creditor to discriminate against any applicant with respect to any aspect of a credit transaction scation. Failure to comply is defined as adverse action against a consumer, which is illegal. '' I did receive a letter back on date for XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX that i got on XX/XX/XXXX that stated they stood by their decision i sent out another affidavit to get my credit card issued to me or i will be filing a lawsuit.

According to the 10Q form for Q3 page 58 listed in the SEC in filing for American Express states We periodically securitize Card Member loans and receivables arising from our card businesses through the transfer of those assets to securitization trusts, American Express Credit Account Master Trust ( the Lending Trust ) and American Express Issuance Trust II ( the Charge Trust and together with the Lending Trust, the Trusts ). The Trusts then issue debt securities collateralized by the transferred assets to third-party investors. The monthly payment coupon received every month by XXXX XXXX is a receivable for American Express that has been credited due to the securitization of the asset. I rescind/revoke any security interest American Express has in the account ending in XXXX and XXXX, Brandon/agent assume all right XXXX titles, and interest for the XXXX XXXX for the account ending XXXX XXXX. Please respond within XXXX business days confirming fiduciary duties have been completed or reason for nonperformance of fiduciary duties if not completed. Consumer Complaint: Did you know that XXXX prices rides higher when using an American Express card than other credit cards? The EXACT fare is about XXXX % higher when you use an Amex card to request an XXXX ride. I have done dozens and dozens of tests and every time this happens. XXXX refused to admit or deny this and it is likely in concert with American Express because Amex give a monthly XXXX statement credit and this is offset by higher prices. This is collusion and easily proven.

American Express sends me mail stating that " I have used the card for personal use ''. All three credit bureaus deleted the account before but popped back up a month later as " Verified ''. Nobody has been able to show me proof of ownership of the account. I haven't signed for anything. I have made a police report as well as reported account to the FTC.

Consumer Complaint: For many years I have used American Express Gift Cards for online shopping. Recently these cards have been declined by multiple merchants ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ). Over the past two days I tried to purchase XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX from multiple merchants and a card with a {$350.00} balance, and another card with a {$2000.00} balance were both declined. I call Amex Customer Support and was told that the cards were declined for " security reasons '' and I should try another merchant. These cards are basically worthless. The Amex web site states " They can be used virtually anywhere American Express is accepted. This is false advertising, possibly consumer fraud

Consumer Complaint: I attempted to use my {$100.00} Amex Gift Prepaid Gift Card on XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX on a purchase totaling {$99.00}. Unfortunately, the transaction failed due to the payment method being declined. Following XXXX 's suggestion, I contacted American Express on the same day. They assured me that there shouldn't be any issues with using Amex Gift Cards on the XXXX site and recommended trying to use less of the balance on the card. Subsequently, I made another attempt on XXXX with a {$90.00} purchase, but the payment method was declined once again. Despite trying multiple other online retailers and in-person purchases at various stores, I am unable to complete any transactions. I've also contacted American Express in an attempt to request a refund, but they have not been willing to assist.
