Consumer Complaint: I have had an American Express card account since 2009 XXXX 12 years XXXX. I have never paid late and every month I pay any balance on this card in full. I feel that I have been an exemplary customer to American Express. They had for many years restricted my account to only {$1000.00} and eventually increased it to {$2000.00} a number of years ago. I thought that {$2000.00} was the balance that I had on the card as I had not noticed any change to the account. I primarily use this card for my small health business and had been using it for all of my various bills such as VoIP phone, EHR, constant contact etc each month that required a credit card. I recently was in the process of trying to setup some other business offices in other states where I am licensed to practice and when I used the card to purchase the virtual address locations, they were declined. I had just paid my bill in full, the balance was only {$620.00} and I thought I still had {$1300.00} left on the card. I called American Express and the representative told me that last fall they decreased my account to {$1000.00}. I can't express the sadness that I felt and still feel that this company would hurt me and my small business like this! This was really such a very terrible thing to do to a long time customer that has never done anything to warrant taking away credit. I do carry high loans. I am a doctor in the health field and I have many education and health practice expenses some of which are related to expensive labs that are processing for patients. But my credit is good. The letter that I received today from American Express said that my FICO score is XXXX. Is there something wrong with that? I thought that was good. Like everyone, my small health business was greatly affected by the pandemic and I have been working as hard as I can to make a living and what American Express did to me is really so low and nasty. I did not deserve this! It makes me very angry! It is a terrible thing to do to people who have always paid their bills on time. What a terrible company.

Consumer Complaint: American Express closed my account when it shouldnt have been closed because this card was a consumer credit transaction and credit was extended to me through the use of my social security number ( which is a credit card pursuant to 15 usc 1602i ). American Express has also violated several laws by using their name and logo on mail that they have sent me ( 15 usc 1692b ( 5 ) ), collecting cash as payment in a consumer credit transaction on an account that I disputed and has not returned the money back to me ( 15 usc 1692h ), threatening to report my account to the credit reporting agencies for non payment of cash ( 15 usc 1692d ( 1 ) ), claiming that I owe them money but sending a bill with a positive balance ( 15 usc 1692e ( 2 ) ( A ) ) .. If I owe them the balance shouldnt be positive and since this is a consumer credit transaction in where my social was used to extend credit to me, the transaction was already paid for.

Consumer Complaint: So me and my partner work together buying and selling items. I have been providing cash flow, swiping my credit cards and we have paid off all the balance all time for years. Then I went to XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2021. I leave the card to my partner to repay the bill. Last charge was authorized by me is in XXXX whch is already paid off. My card was charged relentlessly on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX and XXXX with no fraud alert. Until I checked my online account on weekend that following week and found out the issue. I asked my partner and he said he didn't use the card. I filed a police report in my town and was told to submit a report on this website. Consumer Complaint: Applied for the ''Amex '' Magnet credit card around XX/XX/21 declared as pending status. I called around XX/XX/21 was informed I was approved then I said now I can work on the reward to their personnel and she responded ok. Then I called Fri. ( XX/XX/21 ) I had a few questions for them in conversation they then informed me I wasn't going recieve the {$200.00} statement credit due to to many accounts open and closed in a 2 year period and that I closed one their c.c 's in the past even though it was in good standing. I then proceeded to ask there personnel why they didn't inform me of their refusal to pay me a {$200.00} statement credit on ( XX/XX/21 ) when the lady had all my personal information in their computer on that day? They didn't have an answer for that then I logged an official complaint with them on ( XX/XX/21 ) and they responded weeks later with the same reason. In my opinion this is very unfair of them not informing me from the beginning. I presently still have this Magnet credit card in good standing.

Consumer Complaint: I filed five complaints with XXXX because they are mixing me up with my father. His credit card keeps showing on my credit file and I want to get it removed. We share the same first name but our last names are different and we share the same address. My first complaint filed to them was some time back in XXXX. My following complaints were XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX and I believe XX/XX/XXXX I also made a complaint to them over the phone. I try to contact American Express but when I tell them about the situation I get told that there isn't a card registered to my SSN and that I should take it up with a credit bureau. I am confused because if American Express is telling me a card doesn't exist under my identity why does XXXX insist that it does. I do not understand how XXXX thinks the card belongs to me when I have filed so many complaints to them even going as far as to send them a photo of our IDs next to our respected cards to prove that the card does not belong to me.
