Consumer Complaint: I purchased product from a handbag merchant called XXXX and used my American Express Card going through XXXX for {$180.00}. I never received my purchase. I filed a dispute with American Express, they withheld payment. The merchant finally mailed my product so I closed the dispute and American Express advised they would chargeback. I contacted XXXX who adv they are waiting for the chargeback information from American Express. When I contact American Express they advised they have completed the chargeback, but the many XXXX Representatives I have spoken with advised there is no communication from American Express. I have placed numerous calls to American Express and XXXX, but continue to get the runaround. I wound up paying XXXX {$180.00}, since I did receive the product. I need the XXXXAmex to be rectified so XXXX can credit the original charge. This has been going on for over a month.

Consumer Complaint: I signed up for an American Express XXXX XXXX but can not access the points I have accrued. They are listed on my account page as available and when I call in they say they can be used, but when I try to transfer them there is a hold on them. I am trying to purchase an airline ticket ASAP using the points but can not because of this hold. I have called the company several times, been placed on multiple holds, but nobody can tell me what the hold is about nor allow me to use my points, which of course I have earned by meeting the spending requirements and paying the sizable yearly fee. Amex should immediately allow me to use my points per the terms of my agreement and add at least an additional XXXX points to my account because I can not use the points that I need to use to book a ticket in a time sensitive manner.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I checked my American Express account after receiving notice that I was charged a late fee. I was not supposed to have a balance in the first place because a balance transfer of {$360.00} was supposed to have occurred. XXXX XXXX XXXX had approved a balance transfer from the American Express account. However the charges still remained on the American Express account. I also was charged a {$40.00} late fee for not making the XXXX payment. When I called to speak to a representative she said that American Express changed their policy and weren't allowing balance transfers during the pandemic. The information did not sound correct to me. She said all she could do is wave the late fee for me. Then she said my account maybe subject to APR penalties because of the missed payment. This is not fair at all. I called another American Express representative and he said this should not have happened. But it did.

Consumer Complaint: Received letter from Attorney XXXX XXXX XXXX stating that a lawsuit has been filed. American Express Index XXXX. I have not received anything about this. I called the County Court and was told that an incomplete summons was filed. This was apparently filed by XXXX debt buyer attorneys. I have never received any information regarding anything from this XXXX at all. Their website is extremely frightening and confusing to the consumer filled with legal terms that the average consumer does not understand. Hence, I am contacting CFPB for help. I have been paying americian express on my fixed income. Why am I being threatened by a lawsuit when I have been paying? I do not understand. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and am doing my best. Please help me.

Consumer Complaint: I have an American Express with rewards of air miles. Ive never used the Miles and have nearly XXXX. When I tried to book a flight the program would not let me. When I called customer support they said there would be a NINE hour wait, so there is no customer service. I tried to call XXXX and they said they could book a flight but I could not use my miles. This appears to be false advertising because they are not offering what they said came with this card. They gave no answers for anything. I can only think maybe XXXX has gone bankrupt, but they could tell the customers the truth.
