Consumer Complaint: I tried to redeem my membership rewards points today, XX/XX/2021, for a flight reservation but this redemption, wasn't successful and it flagged my account to go under reveiw. This also happened a few months ago when I tried to redeem my points for a flight reservation on XX/XX/2021. My membership account went under review at that time and the review process was completed 2 months ago. How many times per year does American Express need to review membership rewards accounts? This's my second time during this calendar year and every time it takes up to 3 months for an account to be unfrozen. I found this unreasonable and needs further explanation and more transparency from the company. I will not pay the {$590.00} annual fee for the XXXX XXXX card ending in XXXX unless I have access to my points, I'll not pay for a card I don't have access to its benefits, such as points redemption.

Consumer Complaint: Originally told over the phone I would receive the XXXX sign up bonus on XX/XX/XXXX when opening my XXXX XXXX XXXX card. I have been fighting with them as they refuse to honor this phone conversation with one of their representatives. I have spent months calling and chatting with them regarding this between XXXX to XXXX. Finally On XX/XX/XXXX a chat representative offered me XXXX Skymiles to make up for this, I have screenshots and this offer is still in the chat, they asked me to open a dispute for this on XX/XX/XXXX after nothing for a month. Now, today on XX/XX/2021 after having to call in the past few weeks to get a response to this they are now refusing this that they have offered as well!

Consumer Complaint: ( 1 ) I have a XXXX XXXX CC from American Express ( annual fee {$450.00} ). Usually, I receive an annual statement credit of {$300.00} for eligible hotel stays at XXXX hotels. Due to Covid travel restrictions, American Express offered a {$300.00} statement credit for restaurant purchases ( dine-in and take-out ) in the U.S. between XX/XX/XXXX XXXX ( refer to my attachments for details ). The details were confirmed by Amex in a website chat on XX/XX/XXXX. I was automatically enrolled in this program ( see attachment 3 ), and I spent {$300.00} for restaurants during that time period ( see attachment 7 ). ( 2 ) However, Amex did not provide yet the statement {$300.00} credit as promised. ( 3 ) To clarify the missing credit, I've contacted customer service on the Amex website ( chat service on XX/XX/XXXX ), and I've called customer service twice ( in XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX ). They noted the details and promised the request would be clarified by customer service and I would hear back from them. But no luck so far. ( 4 ) Thus, I would like to file a complaint about the missing statement credit of {$300.00}.

Consumer Complaint: I filed a complaint with your agency on XXXX # XXXX and received a message on XXXX that American Express would be crediting my account for the amount disputed. Today, XX/XX/2021, I received a message from American Express that the charge would be placed back on my account because XXXX XXXX provided an invoice for the charge. I contacted American Express again and was informed that they would not credit my account for the {$30.00} charge and I had to contact XXXX XXXX. I attempted to contact XXXX XXXX and was informed there was a XXXX hour wait to speak with someone. Again, this charge was for my son 's luggage, which should have been complimentary because I purchased his ticket with my American Express. We checked in at the XXXX in both XXXX and XXXX and for some reason the system did not recognize my credit card for my son 's ticket and charged me for his luggage.
