Consumer Complaint: I purchased XXXX Am Ex gift cards each worth {$500.00} ( total of {$2000.00} ) on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX. At XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX I called Am Ex Gift card customer service to report that I had reason to believe the cards would be used fraudulently. The agent told me he would put all of the cards on hold. He also said there was some activity on the card earlier in the day. He told me to call back in a week and that I would be reimbursed for the full value of the cards once they had cleared all of the transactions.. When I called Am Exp gift card customer service on XX/XX/XXXX the agent told me all of the cards were spent and that I could not be reimbursed despite the fact that I had reported fraud and there was a hold on the cards. The agent told me that the first agent should have explained that holds are only internal and Am Exp does not notify merchants. She also told me that the first agent should have given me the name of the merchant where the transactions had occurred. The agent told me that on XX/XX/XXXX Am Exp for the transactions on the gift cards despite the acknowledgement from the agent that there was a hold on all of the cards. On XX/XX/XXXX, Am Exp gift card customer service gave me all the transaction numbers and told that the purchases were made at one XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX. The agent advised me to call XXXX. I spoke with the XXXX XXXX manager who referred me to XXXX Customer Service. XXXX said it would do nothing to investigate and had already been fully paid. The XXXX XXXX manager had all of the transaction information about how, who and the address of the purchasers but would not release it to me. Am Exp gift card services would not investigate the fraud.. I called Am Exp corporate offices and the person who answered the phone told me there was no one who could help me.

Consumer Complaint: I have new and information on this case number XXXX. American Express. On XX/XX/2022 - a letter validating an alleged debt, and ceasing communication was delivered. The Validation Letter stated a necessity to provide all information proving verification for this debt within ten days. Over a month later, this company has failed to provide the necessary documents asked for in the Validation Letter. Since the Cease and Communication letter was delivered, American Express has harassed me on numerous accounts by calling my phone at inconvenient times, and failing to comply to my demand to cease and desist. This company has not complied with my requests for verification, requests for ceasing communication and has too violated numerous other rights of my status as a consumer. Due to these facts, as well as the original fraud surrounding the basis of the alleged debt, I sent a packet with my stated list of acted through an affidavit of truth, along with all of my exhibits. This packet was delivered on XX/XX/2022. This company has 10 days to reply to my affidavit, line by line with full rebuttals of my statements.

Consumer Complaint: I tried to make a purchase using a {$25.00} AmEx gift card at XXXX XXXX 's website. The order was cancelled so I attempted to put the balance on my XXXX XXXX account. After several attempts without success, I contacted AmEx customer service. They told me to wait until a specific date ( XX/XX/22 ) for XXXX XXXX put the money back to the gift card. I waited and tried again without success to put the card on XXXX XXXX so I contacted customer service again. They told me that the card was locked after too many attempts but that I should try again the next day. I waited several days and tried again with no success, so I contacted customer service once again. They said a supervisor would contact me but I received no such call. I tried a second time on XX/XX/22 and was told a supervisor would call me within XXXX hours. No call ever came so I tried to buy a XXXX XXXX gift card today but the card was declined. I tried calling customer service again today but was disconnected after XXXX minutes. I have now spent more than XXXX hours trying to use a card that can not be used and the company will not either send a physical card or cancel the current card and offer a new card. I am now out of the {$25.00} value unless this Bureau will help me.

Consumer Complaint: The American Express bank, WILL Not let me into my savings account, because of a Canceled unpaid American Express XXXX Credit Card, That was supposed to be reported lost and or stolen, so that I can still access my savings account. The customer service Person on the phone say 's that the account has been closed and refuses to allow me the credentials needed to login to the account. I tell them can I take money from my savings and pay the canceled credit card that way, just to be fair? And they still act like they can not even do that because they may or may not really work for American Express. One of them sounded like a foreigner and the other sounded like a XXXX. Ive got XXXX XXXX dollars worth of savings insurance with this particular account, and It may seem XXXX to regular working class people but there is no way a foreigner or XXXX would ever be able to access and dole out my XXXX XXXX dollar insured savings account to me. PLease help me with this problem because it was nearly the only bank that I could find that had any kind of Savings insurance to brag of. On top of that I invested and sold Stock for the company of American Express and have used the bank as a personal bank since 2004. I demand this problem and issue with a XXXX and or foreigner getting their little poor foreign XXXX feeling hurt over big and rich XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX from XXXX and XXXX bankers association would call that a small personal problem, that they have no problem fixing directly for you. Consumer Complaint: These dates are estimatesXXXX XX/XX/XXXX : created account with American Express XXXX card for XXXX bonus points 10x points on restaurants as the sign up bonus ( SUB ) when I signed up there system was down and I had to resubmit my application. XX/XX/XXXX : becuase of the system down problem I called to confirm I would be receiving the XXXX points and 10x restaurants on my card as SUB, agent confirmed that and I told him to put a note in the system XX/XX/XXXX : called again to confirm and told me I only received XXXX SUB, agent understood the previous call and opened a case XX/XX/XXXX : received a letter in the mail stating that the SUB was only for XXXX not XXXX XX/XX/XXXX : called Amex agent and told me to disregard that letter sent in the mail and the case was still opened XX/XX/XXXX : called and told me case was closed and they didnt no why, they reopened cased and put priority on it. XX/XX/XXXX : Received letter in mail stating I would only get XXXX, called and talked for an hour to a rude supervisor who just wanted to argue. I told him to go back and listen to the original conversation ( since they are recorded ) he got all defensive and said it didnt matter what the agent said. XX/XX/XXXX : called again today and was told the same thing about how this could not be fixed as it was not an American express error even though it was. I made a post on XXXX about this and it seems to be a very common bait and switch technique that American express uses to lure in customers. If you just type in on XXXX American express bait and switch it is flooded with XXXX about this. This is very concerning and seems like it could become a class action lawsuit. I will include screenshots of XXXX in the photos sections. They will also not share the phone calls of the first agent I talked too unless I subpoena it.

I received an invitation to apply through U.S Mail. As you may be aware, it is against federal law in accordance with Equal Credit Opportunity Act to proclaim an adverse action against a consumer. Pursuant 15 U.S Code 1691 ( C ) and you assume civil liability pursuant 15 U.S Code 1691 ( K ). American Express has violated my federally protected consumer rights : 1. 15 U.S Code 5 1642 2. 15 U.S Code 1681M 3. 12 CFR 1002 Since the letter you sent me dated XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX is both a proof and evidence that I have been discriminated against, you are also criminally liable.
