Consumer Complaint: I started using the American Express XXXX card for nearly a year now and I find it very difficult to receive the stated rewards/benefits. I called them a couple of months ago about several rewards/credits not honored. After over 40 minutes, I was given one credit that should have been issued because I " have been a cardmember for over 20 years ''. Other items I was told to call another number, or I did something wrong and my issues can't be resolved. This is a card with a {$600.00} annual fee. I have no time to call another number or even call again for a {$20.00} or {$15.00} credit here and there. And I ended up not getting what was promised. Just a few examples : 1. I signed up for a credit back offer with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I can use the offer three times. The first time the statement credit came through. The second time it didn't. That is the one I got back after my 40+ minute call. The agent said I didn't use the specific link in the offer, but I did. Then she said the data wasn't transmitted to AMEX correctly. 2. I signed up for XXXX following a link in the offers section on the Amex website. But I didn't get credit for the first couple of months. When I called, it was the same story that I didn't use the link, which is not true. The agent said she put me in the program, but I couldn't get credit for the months before the call. 3. I was supposed to get put to {$200.00} credit in miscellaneous airline fees. I enrolled in the offer but didn't get credit for my XXXX luggage fees. When I called later, I was told I not only needed to sign up for the offer but also select an airline. I later wanted to change the airline, and I was told it can't be changed. I have to wait for a full year. It wasn't disclosed the first time I called. Otherwise, I would have chosen a different airline that I pay more fees. 4. I was supposed to get {$15.00} XXXX cash each month. For XXXX, I got a message from XXXX that Amex gave me {$20.00} bonus on top of the regular {$15.00}. So I used it. But then XXXX sent a message that there was a mistake and the whole {$35.00} was taken out of my XXXX account. When I called AMEX, I was told to call another number to get this corrected. And honestly, it's just not worth my time to call. 5. recently AMEX has a {$10.00} back on XXXX XXXX purchase. So I signed up for it, paid for the gas. But when I came back to redeem, it looks like I had to open a XXXX account to get that credit. I didn't want to open an account with XXXX. I am dead ended here and don't know how to redeem the offer. I wonder if I have to call again and spend another 40 minutes. Above are just a few examples. It's a card program with many tricks and pitfalls that you just can't get what was promised. I would have expected more from AMEX since I've always had a good experience with them and this card has a very high annual fee. But this time the experience has been very disappointing.

Consumer Complaint: I attempted to submit a payment on XX/XX/2022 for my American Express credit card ending in XXXX. I received a message that the payment had been submitted and would be processed on XX/XX/2022. However, there was a problem with the system and my payment did not go through as scheduled. I was then charged a late fee of {$29.00} on XX/XX/2022. I requested to have this fee removed and a customer service confirmed that it would be, but the charge is still on my account. I would like to request that this {$29.00} fee be removed along with any interest charges as they payment should have gone through on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX as was originally scheduled.

Consumer Complaint: on XX/XX/XXXX I placed a deposit on a piece of furniture with a company via AMEX for {$1300.00}. Vendor said would ship in XX/XX/XXXX, then late said XXXX then XXXX, then vendor cut off communications and is refusing to answer. We contacted Amex and they are refusing to do anything in regards to a dispute. They in a nut shell : say tough luck and to bad for us. Spoke to them via chat and even got the " floor manager '' XXXX to deny us as well. Seems they don ; t mind continuing thier relationship with this vendor and helping them steal from people.

Consumer Complaint: I bank with a serve debit card. And Im usually late on seeing my transactions. And I thought something was a little weird when I added money to card but it seem to be slowly but surely disappearing. Moving so fast and dealing with other issues I just continued to add money and continue on.until I see my transaction history. Ive noticed charged from an atm withdrawal and unfamiliar address and Im starting to see exactly that my money has been stolen in another state I do not reside in nor never been. Within two days my card was missing XXXX in atm charges XX/XX/2022 XX/XX/2022 and XX/XX/2022 I believe all with an weird address XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX also one from an XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX WA. Also the card is my sub account I usally only use online because my husband declined the offer of banking with serve due to problems Ive had with them over the years but the main account is mine in general. Can anyone help me get my funds back

Consumer Complaint: I have an American express bluebird prepaid card and I have held the main account, as well as up to XXXX sub-accounts and I have never had an issue go unresolved like this one. My subaccount had XXXX charges come up that were fraudulent. I called and the representative helped me start a dispute and a few weeks later I received an email letting me know the dispute was denied and had generic list of the reasons for the denial and it said for me to get the exact reason, then it must be done in writing, which I did. Sadly, I never received a response. So I called and the representative said they had never received my request and to file the dispute again, and a few weeks later, i I received the email stating my denial again. I wrote in again requesting the exact reason and I didn't hear back. This went on ateast XXXX or 4 times and I kept getting denied.These were legit fraudulent charges but American express would immediately shut me down. Finally, I received a letter stating that through their investigation, they have concluded that I made the charges. I wrote back requesting any evidence they had found because I knew if they pulled the security footage, I wouldn't be the XXXX swiping the card because for XXXX I live in Warrior, AL and XXXX of the charges were made in Georgia. They told me that they didn't have to show me the evidence but they weren't giving me my money back. I wrote the XXXX XXXX XXXX and had some correspondence with American express but again at the conclusion of the XXXX filing, they again refused to give me the money back. I don't know what else to do. It's not something I would make up nor have I had this happen but once to the main card account and they credited me immediately. I'm going to attempt to get a resolution with this email and if not, then I will seek legal representation. Consumer Complaint: Amex suspended XXXX of my credit cards, around 2 months ago, for financial review. I sent them 3 years of taxes. They have not provided an update or restored my cards. They remain suspended and I have no idea what the status of the review is. There are XXXX household members who also have Amex cards, but because they earn a higher income than me, Amex treats them more favorably and does not subject them to the same scrutiny and restrictions. Amex has conducted multiple financial reviews of my cards since the first time I became a customer, and I pass each one with flying colors because I have always had income and a stable job, income that only increases each year, I have never missed a payment or had any unsatisfactory record with Amex, but they don't care about that, they just care about making my life difficult while I am in the middle of travels and taking care of my health so I can work and pay their bills. Not sure why they are doing this, maybe because I am of Armenian ancestry, they flag my account all the time despite not having any reason to do so. What are they looking for for so long and so closely? Is it lying around someone's desk gathering dust, or is someone actually reviewing everything? Are they just trying to find a reason to penalize me and are unable to because there is nothing to penalize? It seems discriminatory to me. I would not be surprised if suddenly they responded with a status, and then closed my accounts anyway to retaliate against me for making this complaint. I just want to continue making my payments as I have done more more than half a decade, and use whatever available credit there is on my cards responsibly. Gas is XXXX dollars a gallon, and I take public transportation and walk where I can. I am doing everything I can to live and survive, while the pandemic is ongoing, while I have had to relocate due to XXXX XXXX perpetrated by the Amex customers from my household, and while I have to work remotely while my work office is closed for over 2 years now through the pandemic. What more do these companies want from me. I am giving them my whole paycheck just to live. This is unfair.

Consumer Complaint: American Express denied me the right to use my credit card by denying my transaction while I had sufficient funds to cover the transaction, a breach of contract or agreement. I have been with America Express for more than 6 years. Amount declined is {$1400.00} ( See attachment ) plus tax and Insurance amounting to XXXX I have always paid on time and never missed payment. My XXXX payment was done on the XXXX of XX/XX/2022. With my payment, America Express processed all its fees ( Evidence attached ). Upon deduction of all fees on XX/XX/2022 by American Express, I had an account balance of over {$130.00}. I transferred {$1600.00} to cover the purchase of a flight ticket to go for my daughter. With a sufficient transfer of {$1600.00}, my balance was sufficient to cover the flight transaction on XXXX pm XX/XX/2022 of {$1600.00}. Thus, my account balance and credit limit as of XXXX pm XX/XX/2022 were sufficient to cover my transaction of I did. The transaction went through as of XXXX pm XX/XX/2022 issuance of the confirmation number. A confirmation number was issued at XXXX pm saying that my flight ticket is on it way ( See attachment ). An insufficient fund in a credit card goes with an instantaneous denial of the transaction. This was not in my case. I checked my balance before initiating the transaction. My credit limit and account balance were not changed and were not below the transactional amount. Additionally, no other transaction was pending to reduce the amount below the transaction amount. Since American Express email states that my transaction was declined because it would go over my " credit limit ''. I am kindly enlisting the help of Consumer Finance to ask American Express to provide me with evidence of my credit limit and account balance at the time of the transactions as of XXXX pm XX/XX/2022. I went to the American Express website to dispute their claim that I did not have sufficient funds and if possible to refund my {$1600.00} since American Express did not seem to recognize the funds transferred to cover this transaction, the disputed site was down ( See attachment ). Essentially, American Expressed has unlawfully seized upon my {$1600.00} transfer to arbitrarily apply as payment towards a spontaneous negative balance that I was never informed or made aware of. Please tell America Express that I DO NOT need the reason ( s ) or factor ( s ) for their decision of credit limit reduction. I want or need evidence that my credit limit was not sufficient at the time of the transaction as stated in the email : " declined because you be over your credit limit '' ( Email attached ). What was my credit limit and/or account balance at the time of the transaction ( XXXX pm XX/XX/2022 )? Simple : I want to know my account balance and credit limit as of XXXX pm XX/XX/2022. After declining my transaction for 'lack of sufficient funds ' so to speak, American Express went further to reduce my credit limit to justify their falsehood that the transaction would be over my credit limit. Thus, the other question I want is what time during the period of XX/XX/2022 was the decision made to reduce my credit limit. Was it before, during, or after the declined transaction? I will agree with American Express that they can reduce or increase the credit limits of consumers whenever they so desire. Therefore, I am not questioning their authority to reduce credit limits. However, I only want to see the evidence at the time of me making the transaction or buying the flight ticket, what were my account balance and credit limit before or on XXXX pm XX/XX/2022. This has caused grave XXXX XXXX and other financial impacts on me that I would possibly seek legal remedy if these questions are not answered in recognition of my rights as a consumer. Because of this illegal and breach of faith, I have gone ahead to take a high-interest loan to buy a flight ticket for my family emergency as American Express has stiffed me on the money I intended to buy a flight ticket ( See attachment ).
