Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, American Express denied me for an open credit plan even though their indenture agreement states that when an applicant applies for credit they shall be granted as long as they exercised their rights with good faith and clean hands. Also I have attached the letters and laws that are being violated in this matter. Also I'm in arbitration with XXXX XXXX XXXX, so im not sure how that company can report something that isn't my account. I explained that American Express, and the issue still have not been corrected. Dear Underwriting team, Today I, XXXX XXXX was denied and received an adverse action letter today for an extension of credit by American Express National Bank on XX/XX/2023. I applied for a credit card that I wanted. I have invested in this account with good faith and clean hands. Im here to accept all lines of credit, titles, and interest on this account. I have attached your American Express Indenture agreement where it states that my note is an open-ended credit line and access should be granted. I have also attached your 10-k form that explains in detail about notes and securitization transactions from the Security Exchange Commission website . American Express National bank I ask that you please open my line of credit. As you may be aware, it is against federal law in accordance with the Equal opportunity Act to proclaim an adverse action against a consumer. Pursuant to 15 U.S Code Sec 1691 ( C ) you assume civil liability pursuant to 15 U.S Code Sec 1691 ( k ). American Express and American Express National Bank has violated my federally protected consumer rights : 1. 15 U.S Code Sec 1642 2. 15 U.S Code Sec 1681M 3. 12 CFR 1002 Since this letter was sent to me dated XX/XX/2023 is both proof and evidence that I have been discriminated against, and youre criminally liable. American Express should resort to reasonable procedures to rectify this affair and compensate me for the use of my securities. Otherwise, this would be considered security fraud since I have received NO BENEFIT. If there are any concerns than you can retract my note that I sent using my social security or to my understanding, we can than start to discuss security fraud. Consumer Complaint: I have a {$200.00} AMEX gift card. I tried to use it at multiple gas stations and even by prepaying and it gets declined. Its declined at the grocery store. Despite the fact on the website it says you can add it to XXXX XXXX you cant. You cant add it to food delivery apps or use it on XXXX. It gets declined or is not able to be added to anything. The original amount is still on the card and its active, but XXXX cant use it. When Ive called customer service the response I get is that the enhanced security features cause it to decline. It is a gift card that cant be used.

Consumer Complaint: received card as a gift American Express gift card website says it was loaded on XX/XX/2023 and I tried using it XX/XX/2023 and it says that there is an issue using the card. The product I was buying did not go over the amount on the gift card even with taxes but it still doesnt let the purchas go through. I called later that day and I was just told that I have a {$50.00} balance by an automated voice. I called the number again and have been on hold for a bit.

Through robot call says XXXX transactions for XXXX each were processed. Waited over an hour to speak with a service rep no answer. Very shady company in my opinion ripping off consumers. Tells me to go use card somewhere else????

Consumer Complaint: I requested a legal name change on American Express credit card on about XX/XX/, and it was not process because I was told I requested the name change on an old closed account, which is not even shown inside of my online account. After I received a mail around XXXX XXXX XXXX I put a new online request withe the same new Driver 's License. And it turned out they did not receive my second online request. To be safe, I mailed a signed name change form along with my new driver 's license, my new social security card and my name change court decree to American Express around XXXX XXXX XXXX. After I learned they didn't receive my second online request today on XX/XX/, I put a third online request, suggested by the customer service and uploaded my new driver 's license, my new social security card and my name change court decree. I still do not understand I only have one active American Express card, and only One card shown inside my online account, how come could I requested a name change on an old card closed a year ago. On the third request, I screenshotted the confirmation as attached, it's definitely requested on my current active card.

Consumer Complaint: Sooooo embarrassing! Sooooo frustrating! Below, please find my order of qty. XXXX {$50.00} total of {$1000.00} Amex gift cards, purchased directly from AMEX. XXXX gifts for family! NONE of them have been accepted! And myself and family see that XXXX and social media says EVERYONE is experiencing the same issue! These are no longer accepted anywhere we have tried! XXXX denies. XXXX XXXX denies. XXXX denies, etc... etc... These were purchased as they promise to work anywhere AMEX is accepted. This is FALSE advertising! For years and years we purchased these with no problem. AMEX is AWARE of all of these complaints. They are aware consumers can not use these cards as promised, and still they sell them!
