Consumer Complaint: We have been loyal customers of American Express for 20 years now. So, I looked into the finance charges over the past year on our American Express gold charge card and found that Amex has been charging me - {$1700.00} XXXX asked why, because I always pay my bill ON TIME and IN FULL. They said it was because i break the payment up previous to the due date and pay some of it early- BUT I ALWAYS EVENTUALLY PAY ON TIME IN FULL. How are they able to leverage a charge against us on a partitioned amount when that amount is always paid on time and in full? They refused to help me. Employee name is XXXX and her employee number is # XXXX she was the supervisor I spoke to and she said she was 'unable ' to help me get our money back. This was an unfairly leveraged fee on an already struggling small business that always pays ON TIME and IN FULL. American Express DOES NOT CARE about SMALL BUSINESSES!

Consumer Complaint: so amex gave me an offer to upgrade to there better hitlon amex card to get more miles and upgrade my Hilton status I called customer service to see if they could possibly waive my annual for the 1st year to try it out and do the upgrade and they refused it I already paid XXXX on the current card I have and was willing to forgo if they upgrade to the new card and the waiver annual fee at least for the 1st year. I have wrote several emails to the corporate offices to see if this is a possibility and I have nothing back for 2 weeks I can't get a hold of anyone so thought I would escalate this here I have enclosed a copy of the offer. I figure going this way is the best way to get someone to respond since the coperperate refuses to answer my emails

According to Section 392.101 of the Texas Finance Code : - ( a ) A third-party debt collector or credit bureau may not engage in Debt Collection in the State of Texas unless the third-party debt collector or credit bureau has obtained a surety bond issued by a surety company authorized to do business in this State as Prescribed by this section. The Bond must be in the amount of {$10000.00} ( XXXX XXXX Dollars ). On XX/XX/2022, I contacted Texas Secretary of State through its number XXXX to verify if American Express has an active surety Bond with Texas Secretary of State and was told by XXXX XXXX that American Express does not have an active surety Bond with Texas Secretary of States as such your company will be in violation of Section 392.101 of the Texas Finance Code if your company attempts to collect any debt within the State of Texas. Also, a search of Texas Secretary of State XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX DID NOT return any active Bond information for American Express with Texas Secretary of States . I have attached result of my search to this complaint. * Please, kindly confirm if American Express has an active surety bond with Texas Secretary of State. Trying to collect an alleged debt without having an active surety bond with Texas Secretary of State IS A VIOLATION OF SECTION 392.101 OF THE TEXAS FINANCE CODE.

Consumer Complaint: Hi, I asked American Express for a physical address to which I could write to cancel my credit card, if i choose to do so at renewal. I was told I had to call or chat them to cancel. Is that correct that credit card companies do not have to make a physical address available for correspondence, and can refuse to accept written correspondence from customers directing them to cancel their cards? Consumer Complaint: It appears that my credit file has been compromised. Again, I was going through my records & noticed many information, accounts or items which do not belong to me. Since Im a stickler for research, I found that under section 605b of the FCRA you are required by law to remove & block any accounts or information which is found to be opened due to identity theft. This is not a duplicate nor is this complaint being filed by a third party, I am filing this complaint myself. Please see this complaint is processed to the letter of the law. The dispute items do not belong to me. Im attaching the required FTC Report for you and the bank 's records ( learned through more research both parties require ). Please block/remove this files. AMEX XXXX If you feel there is a possibility this account belong to me I will require all documentation that bears my signature ( another research item I found that requires you to verify with 100 % accuracy that each account is 100 % true, accurate, correct, complete & VERIFIABLE ). If you do not provide any records & claim the item is verified please understand I will seek legal action. I do not take kindly to games nor does my attorney. SO please comply with the law so this matter can be handled swiftly.

Consumer Complaint: I attempt to rent a car from XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2022, at XXXX, XXXX XXXX thru XXXX, An agent identified himself as XXXX and I told him I wanted to rent a car for XXXX XXXX XXXX, during the process, he asked if I had a credit card to hold the car 's reservation and I told him no I had a debit card, he stated a debit card won't work, but if I could purchase an American Express card from a XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX or XXXX, I told him I would have to call him back because I had to go to a store to purchase a credit card and he informed me he gets off work at XXXX : XXXX XXXX and he would hold the reservation and he would call me back. Around XXXX : XXXX XXXX he called me while I was at the store and asked if I had gotten the card I told him I was in line then with a Serve American Express card and he said great that would work and he wanted the card information off it and he told me the reservation confirmation number was XXXX. On XX/XX/2022, I realized He didn't tell me where to pick up the car I call him at XXXX and requested where to pick up the car and he said hold on and hung up. I then called the number on the back of the Serve American Express card and let them know what had happened and they asked me to email them a statement of what happened, copies of the receipt, front and back of the card, driver 's license and bar code of purchase I emailed it to XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: On the evening of XX/XX/29 I picked up some individuals because i sometimes use my car as a car service to make extra money. there were 4 passengers. I went into the store to buy a pack of cigarettes left them in the car for i did not lock eveything up and some of my id and card were in the glove compartment of the car one of them i dont know which one, shuffled through my glove compartment and removed my wallet and later commited indentity theft my other driver lic and address where in the wallet. several days later i relized that the wallet had been taken out of the glove compartment. later on good samaritian mailed the wallet back to me that he found. on the street. when i checked my statement I had XXXX unauthorized transaction on my card, filed a dispute with american express phone number XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and phone number.
