Consumer Complaint: I have been a member with American Express for their Delta SkyMiles Amex XXXX credit card since XX/XX/2018. It has annual fee and every year at renewal, a companion certificate is issued for a Delta flight. In XXXX, I decided to downgrade my card to a free version as I did not feel it was worth paying the annual fee after changes to Delta 's rewards program. I received a letter in the mail saying that I had until a date in XXXX to reverse the product change. Before that date in XXXX, I called customer service and requested reversal of the product change. I asked to confirm if the reversal would truly reverse the change and make it as if I never changed products. The agent told me yes, confirming what was written on the letter. The issued the XXXX card again, but will not issue the renewal companion. They claim that I am not eligible because of the product change. I've tried explaining the the letter said I could reverse the change, but they say it doesn't matter. I've asked them to reissue the letter that was sent in XXXX for me to reverify, they are refusing to resend. They will only send me the credit card terms in conditions, as this supports their position. I believe they are wrongfully withholding a credit card benefit from me that I should be entitled to. I paid my annual membership fee, which should count as a renewal since I've been a member since 2018. I believe based on what I discussed with them with the written notice I received, they should either issue me with the companion certificate or waive my annual for this year. Unfortunately, the written notice they provided me has been misplaced so I can not provide. They do not provide a digital version of the notice, and they will not reproduce the letter.

Consumer Complaint: I was given a {$1000.00} AmEx gift card by a relative. The card was activated and funded correctly. However, the gift card is declined at virtually all online and in-person merchants I have tried. This includes XXXX, XXXX, XXXX ( in-store ), and various others. Upon researching this issue, I found that countless others have either given or received these gift cards, which are marketed by American Express as follows : " American Express Gift Cards and Business Gift Cards and American Express eGift Cards and Business eGift Cards may be used virtually anywhere in the U.S. that accept American Express Cards. '' This statement is patently false. These gift cards cards are completely worthless and are declined almost universally, which is tantamount to fraud, as American Express simply keeps the funds utilized to load the cards.

Consumer Complaint: Subject : Notice of Assessment of Collateral Security and Breach of Contract Accounts Ending In : XXXX ; XXXX ; XXXX This purpose is to redress an infringement of rights. Violations that are prohibited by law from engaging in knowingly and recklessly practices that those regulatory authorities deemed unsafe and unsound, which have led to the breach of fiduciary duties. According to American Expresss prospectus and 10Q forms : Securities will be AMEX obligations. Monies will be held in trust for payments. Each security will bear interest from its date of issue until paid, until the principal of the security is paid, or security made available for payment. Interest will be paid upon redemption or repayment to the person to whom is the principal and will credit the relevant account. Deposits will be deemed to have been paid and discharged the entire indebtedness on the securities. Securities are under a book entry system. Holders of the applicable securities would be able to look only to the trust fund for payments of principal and interest on debt securities. Reling on procedures of the depository, whom you hold your beneficial interest to exercise any rights of a holder under the indenture. The depository will act upon the instructions or be authorized to take any action that is entitled to take. Receivables and card member loans are securitized, and assets will transfer to securitized trust. Securities collateralized are issued and assets are transferred to investors. As an issue depository institution AENB borrowed from the Federal Reserve Bank the amount of qualifying collateral. The Federal Reserve has indicated that both credit and charge card receivables are a form of qualifying collateral. Assets will be considered qualifying collateral. Expressing attention to the fact that there have been breaches in Tiers 1, 2, and 3 which indicate a pattern of misconduct. This is causing the principals account to be negatively impacted and results in benefits to such parties. Describing this as violating regulations issued pursuant to the Federal Reserve Act. Consumer Complaint: Hi. This is my 3rd complaint on American Express for SCRA benefits. I used the chat option through American Express on XX/XX/XXXX to ask them when my accounts would be approved for SCRA benefits. They informed me that my accounts were approved on XX/XX/XXXX and they were still deciding when the actual start date would be. I noticed last week that I have not received any credits for any interest rate I have paid above 6 % and credits for any late fees. I used the American Express chat option again on Friday, XX/XX/XXXX to see when I would received my credits and to see what date they used for my SCRA benefits to begin. They told me they have a start date of XX/XX/XXXX. First, that date is wrong and I have no idea where that date came from. Second, still no credits or reversed late charges from XX/XX/XXXX. My husband was reactivated with the military with a start date of XX/XX/XXXX until present. According to XXXX XXXX XXXX, my accounts need to have a backdate of SCRA benefits to XX/XX/XXXX and any interest I have paid that was more than 6 % and any late fees need to be credited to my accounts. I have sent them my husband 's orders several times and I have been fighting with American Express for almost 2 years now. This is an embarrassment to service members! Please refer to my husband 's military orders again. You will see on page 6 is when his orders started on XX/XX/XXXX and the following pages show additional orders until present.

Consumer Complaint: This is a Hilton Honors Surpass AMEX card. I received a statement with closing date XX/XX/23 in the amount of {$520.00}. I called to explain that was not possible as I do not use this credit card for any reason ( it sits in a locked box in my desk drawer ). It is not attached to any online website to be used purchases either. I asked what the charge is even for and I believe it was some kind of money transfer involving a XXXX account ( I have a XXXX account but it has been dormant for many years and would never be associated with this credit card anyway ). I reported the fraud and i believed it was all taken care of- they mailed me a new card. I received another statement in the mail with closing date XX/XX/23 in the amount of {$220.00}. I called to ask what this charge was for and I was told that it is the remaining balance after the first call I made did not bring my balance to XXXX for some reason - only a part of it was considered fraud? so i still had to pay the remainder. I told them again, how can i have any balance at all when i have never made a transaction with this card - 100 % of the original balance was fraudulent. I explained all of this and I was told it would removed as well - and they would be sending me another new credit card - another, new card, you are reading that right. I received another statement with closing date XX/XX/23 in the amount of {$73.00}. I called, again, and asked what is going on and I was told that the balance now is for fees. I asked why I would be asked to pay fees on charges that were fraudulent. I am currently on the phone with AMEX customer service as I write this. I consider the number of calls I have had to make and the amount of time I have spent trying to correct this to be a form of harassment and I want AMEX to be punished. They can not be allowed to do this to someone and get away with it.
