Consumer Complaint: I was getting gas at a convenience store when I gave the attendant my XXXX XXXX credit card. He tried to charge {$1200.00} on the card and XXXX XXXX declined it due to suspicios activity. I did not know this until after I gave the attendant my American Express for {$15.00} in gas and he then charged the {$1300.00} on the American express card. Within about 20 minutes I saw that a few charges were on my American Express card that did not make sense and XXXX XXXX had declined the {$1200.00} attempt. I immediately contacted American Express to report the fraud ...!!! I was told that " Pending Charges can not be disputed ( I have this inwriting from American Express and written chat from me reporting the fraud and them doing nothing about it except charging me the {$1300.00}. I could see if I had waited but I reported it immediately and thank XXXX XXXX XXXX declined the suspicion charge since buying a large amount of anything at a gas statin would be ridiculous!!!! Consumer Complaint: I applied for the XXXX XXXX American Express credit card back in XXXX 2022, which on the page I applied it advertised I could receive XXXX bonus delta miles after applied and used {$XXXX} in the first XXXX months. I still haven't received that advertised bonus mile and when I called them they are saying only new customer could receive this offer which there is NOWHERE stating that on their website when I applied ( I used to have a different AMEX credit card but I close that account couple years ago, but they are saying I am not a NEW customer... ). It is absolutely not acceptable, completely false advertisement and scam. The ONLY reason I applied for this credit card is to get the bonus milage from XXXX and I did spent {$XXXX} after I opened the account. Also AMEX has been sending me mails ( more than XXXX times ) convincing me to apply for this credit card but didn't say anything about new customer only. If I know that I am not eligible for the bonus millage, I would never applied in the first place.

Anyways back to my complaint, I asked Amex to close my credit card because I would recoup the {$100.00} I was overcharged by cancelling the credit card because this summer I wouldnt be charged the annual fee. Today, I get an email from Amex stating I cant close my account until I pay them back XXXX. I never agreed to any of that.

Consumer Complaint: Purchased an Amex gift card from XXXX for XXXX gift to mother in law. She tried to use it and the retailer continued to say problem with card not activated. I spoke to XXXX with my receipt they shifted blame to AMEX prepaid card, I spoke to Amex and they had long wait times and several times hung up upon answer far too many times to be a coincidence. They finally after 2 hours on hold took my issue and provided me a bogus email address to send my receipt copy of card and documents. I XXXX the correct email address and responded to an email they sent me from another email address as well faxed the required documents to their fax to ensure they had all information confirmed. I followed up on XX/XX/XXXX and they stated they did not receive the documents, I then resent the documents XX/XX/XXXX. I followed up and AMEX customer service acknowledged receipt of all documents and requested an additional 7 business days to investigate and resolve. I contacted them via phone on the XXXX day, however, they then aid they didn't complete the job and escalated to back office and 48 hours later would resolve. I called 48hours later and they said the update is wait another 3-4 business days for a response. No resolution
