Consumer Complaint: I reported fraudalent charges for my Business credit AMERICAN EXPRESS card back in XXXX there was charges for XXXX posted on XXXX 4 times total of {$4100.00} XXXX XXXX fees 4 times as well total {$150.00} plus interest fee and late fee. I have call 10 times from XXXX and NO ONE can help me. Everytime I call they stated I am sorry but the case was not file but i will file this claim for you I apologize and ON AND ON. My account now is past due and collections from XXXX XXXX is requesting me the payments. I called customer services again and now i am asking for names and ID employee numbers, there is no resolution. I called I spoke with XXXX Employee id XXXX and give me a case # XXXX Again I am sorry for this problem. No one even have this charges on dispute, I called again back in XXXX and I spoke with XXXX and she promise me she spoke with the fraud team and they will give me all the credits in XXXX hrs. Guess what NOTHING I received a phone call from collections again. This is terrible, I DONT KNOW what to do anymore. I asked customer services why the charges are not even in dispute? how this is going to be reported on my credit bureau? NO one knows. This is not a joke that is what they told me. Plus when I open this credit card back in XXXX it was a promotion for 18 months no interest. Guess what they charge me interest fee back in XXXX And XXXX I called and they told me they will take care this. WELL NOTHING. I need help please I am only asking remove the fraudalent charges and updated my balance so i can pay my balance.

I called and they said my application was denied and never allowed me to send in supporting documentation. Consumer Complaint: AMEX claimed to have completed a reasonable investigation with the furnisher of information and verified these accounts as reporting 100 % accurately. However, the account is still inaccurate and AMEX is still continuing to report errors on my credit file, violating my rights and damaging my credit score at the same time. Recently, I received notice from XXXX that they had deleted this account that AMEX reported for inaccuracy. I am now requesting that AMEX do the same and delete the account. Delete the account AMEX XXXX for inaccuracy because the date last reported is XX/XX/XXXX on XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX on XXXX XXXX The Date last active reported is XX/XX/XXXX on XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX on XXXX. The date of the last payment reported is XX/XX/XXXX on XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX on XXXX. The account status is reported as paid on XXXX and derogatory on XXXX. Each XXXX has a different historical payment date. Delete this account for inaccuracy because XXXX bureaus report different information. AMEX has violated my rights numerous times. 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 ( a ) ( 1 ) states a person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. 15 U.S.C. 1692 Section 806 Section ( 5 ) Causing a telephone to ring or engaging any person in a telephone conversation. 15 U.S.C. 1681 section 602 A. states I have the right to privacy. 15 U.S.C. 1681 section 604 A Section 2 states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish a account without my written consent. 15 U.S.C 1681c. ( a ) ( 5 ) Section which states no consumer reporting agency may make any consumer report containing any of the following items of information Any other adverse item of information, other than records of convictions of crimes which antedates the report by more than seven years. 15 U.S.C 1666 ( B ) states that a creditor may not treat a payment on a credit card account under an open end consumer credit plan as late for any purpose. 15 U.S.C 6802 ( a ) states a financial institution may not, directly or through any affiliate, disclose to a nonaffiliated third party any nonpublic personal information, unless such financial institution provides or has provided to the consumer a notice. 15 USC 1692 ( c ) ( a ) states Without the prior consent of the consumer given directly to the debt collector or the express permission of a court of competent jurisdiction, a debt collector may not communicate with a consumer in connection with the collection of any debt. 15 USC 1692 ( b ) ( 2 ) states Any debt collector communicating with any person other than the consumer shall not state that such consumer owes any debt. 15 U.S.C 6802 ( a ) ( b ) states a financial institution may not, directly or through any affiliate, disclose to a nonaffiliated third party any nonpublic personal information, unless such financial institution provides or has provided to the consumer a notice.

Consumer Complaint: Two complaints. Amex is changing my interest rate retroactively on older purchases. I understand they can raise my rate at any time, but that should be the new rate on new purchases. They are changing my rate on old balances, which feels like it should not be allowed. The second, larger complaint. They have explained to me that because I am carrying a balance, I am being charged interest on purchases I make today ... starting that day. My understanding is that you get charged interest on balances that you carry over to the next statement period without paying off. They are telling me that if I make {$1000.00} of purchases, make a payment for {$1500.00}, meaning I paid for all my current purchases and paid down {$500.00} toward the old balance, I still got charged interest on the {$1000.00} of current purchases that were paid in full prior to the first payment due date after the purchases were made. If that is legal, it should not be. That is predatory. You should not be able to charge someone interest on purchases they pay off the first time you ask them for money. If I have a statement balance of {$1000.00}, and I pay {$990.00} and leave {$1.00}, I should get charged daily interest only on the {$1.00} remaining balance ; not every single purchase I make from that point forward until I pay the balance in full.

I sent them a letter regarding the inaccuracies in my report such as date of last activity, date opened, date reported, payment status etc. They took more than 30 days to complete the investigation and they claimed that they did a thorough investigation. However when I checked my report, I did not see any changes made at all. The inaccurate information are still reporting. My rights has been violated numerous times. 15 U.S.C 1681 section 602 A. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX My personal account was canceled by the American Express with a {$2500.00} minimum payment due. Since XX/XX/XXXX American Express has charged me {$110.00} dlls with different names of commissions in a 2 month period. On XX/XX/XXXX I called the customer call center to cancel my personal account and confirm the amount I had to pay. They confirmed me the amount was {$2400.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX, the same day I paid the total amount by bank transfer {$2400.00} after that I received an XXXX mail about the cancelation of my account. On XX/XX/XXXX, a month later of my request of the cancellation. I received an e mail about an amount pending in my account of {$3.00} as an interest charge. From my understanding the amount of {$3.00} is illegal interest ( usurious ) because since XX/XX/XXXX I owed the Bank {$0.00} dollars, and they did not cancel my credit card on time as I requested or calculated such amount in the figure they provided me to cancel my account. I request such authority to review the process the bank have when a customer ask for a cancellation of a credit bank in American Express. Because from my perspective these activities affect the customers in the following manners : 1 ) The Bank is using its services for personal gain, avoiding the cancellation of a credit card at the time the customer is asking. 2 ) The customer may loss a good amount of money in the case of a major amount owed and maintain the account open without the customer notice. 3 ) The Bank should implement better security measures and quick process at this kind of requests giving the customer an accurate figure to cancel.

Consumer Complaint: I was charged a late fee for a charge I was not aware was made until notified of a late fee. I called to have the late fee removed which was approved and I paid the balance amount. Later this approval was reversed without my knowledge and I was charged another late fee along with the original late fee. I was thanked on the original call for being a customer for 20 years, but now am receiving no service from Amex. I pay my balance in full on all cards and would like the errant fees removed so that I may close the account.

Consumer Complaint: My consumer credit report is updating incorrectly in violation of 15 U.S.C. 1681g. I dispute the American Express account in a Charge-off status and past due balance. Specifically, the account shows as closed and opened on XX/XX/XXXX, with a balance that was updated on XX/XX/XXXX. 1 ) Statute violation : FCRA Section 623 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ). I am contesting the accuracy of this information and requesting that you remove the account from my credit report immediately. I believe that the creditor 's reporting of a charge-off account with a balance is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. According to the FCRA, a creditor is not allowed to continue to report a charge-off account with a balance. This violation further supports my request to have the account removed from my credit report.
